Silver Moose RanchPark City, UT

"Beautiful, serene, didn't want to leave!"

"Silver Moose has a special place in my heart. I intended only to stay for a few days, but I loved it so much I ended up staying nearly three weeks! The house and ranch are gorgeous. The location was the best of both worlds; you're surrounded by nature and feel like you're way out in the country, but you're actually just a quick drive, walk, or free bus ride to town or the resorts. As for the rooms, I stayed in two: O'Sullivan's Spring and Columbine. Both were charming and each one thoughtfully decorated and designed with comfort and ease in mind. O'Sullivan's felt like a separate cabin with its sloped ceiling and wood beams, door to a little deck, and fishing theme. I loved the rustic country furnishings and the mix of new pieces and antiques. I was staying with a friend so it was wonderful to have a spacious room; it had an ample walk-in closet with a fridge, a full-sized couch and coffee table where we could both set up our laptops and work, or watch a movie together, and a huge, comfy (and beautifully handcrafted) king-sized bed in which we hardly knew the other one was there. The Columbine room was light and airy with a high ceiling, spring-themed decor, and a lovely view of the pond. The smaller room was a bit snug for us, but it was perfect for me on my last night which I spent there alone. The desk hadn't arrived yet, but I'm sure the addition will make the room an ideal retreat for a writer or anyone else who wants a quiet, serene room to work in. But what made my time there so memorable was the innkeepers. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are some of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met; the words accommodating and welcoming don't even begin to describe. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can't wait to return!"
