    Magical weekend on Orcas

    My boyfriend and I checked in for a recuperation weekend at the Kangaroo House. We checked out two days later as fiances! We stayed in the Nuthatch Room which was adorable and comfortable and warm. Jill and Charles were fabulous hosts and created two really delicious breakfasts while we were there. We spent our evenings reading, drinking cocoa, and playing scrabble by the fireplace and enjoying the awesome garden hot tub. So relaxing. Just what we needed.

    My wife and I had the pleasure to stay here recently and were very happy. Charles and Jill are very gracious hosts and there inn is beautiful. One evening, instead of going out to a restaurant, we bought grocery store sandwiches, salads, and wine. We headed just north of the inn and ate dinner alone on the beach watching the most beautiful sunset ever. Will certainly stay there again.

    Gracious host, close by if we needed anything but never in the way. Seemed knowledgeable about the island, a good source of information for first-timers. Breakfasts were delicious!

    My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Kangaroo House B&B. We stayed in the Goldfinch Room which was very classy and comfortable. The innkeeper, Charles, was a great asset with wonderful suggestions on where to dine and what to do! Thank you Charles for the great recommendations! We enjoyed chatting with him and learning a bit about he and his wife and the Island. Breakfast was delicious and easily enough to keep you full and happy through until dinner! And it was nice to have a little table for 2 to ourselves. Overall we had a great time! I'd recommend the Kangaroo House to anyone!

    • Arrivée: après 2 h 30.    Départ: à 11 h.

    • Durée minimum: Uniquement sur le 4ème week-end de juillet et samedi soir

    The host was warm and friendly. He made us feel at home and welcome. The room was comfortable but quaint in a really enjoyable way. This is one of the reasons I like a B & B, it is never the same. The breakfast was extraordinary. I took pictures on my cell phone and emailed to my friends. It tasted even better than it looked. I would definitely stay again. Only suggestion - coffee was not available until 8 am and I am one who likes coffee early when I awake.

    Terrific end to our honeymoon!

    The Kangaroo House had so much character and our stay was amazing. The room was beautiful and breakfast the next morning was so much more than we exected, even after reading the rave reviews. We stayed in the dining room after the plates had been cleared to exchange stories with the other guests and hear some history on the Kangroo House and its past occupants :)
