5 sur 5Birthday Gourmet Getaway
juin 05, 2013
My husband and I chose to come here for a weekend getaway for his 30th birthday. The Inn far surpassed our expectations in every way, starting with the mini history lesson from Neil over iced tea and cookies when we arrived. The grounds and rooms were beautifully maintained and we felt like we were in the middle of a country estate with nothing around for miles. We stayed in the Margaret's Room which was a nice touch of privacy while still being close to the Manor House. However, I have to say that the food and service were by far the bet part of the stay. Breakfast and dinner are a relaxed yet intimate meal, and the staff take great care to look out for guests. For example, I had picked a few blueberries out of my delicious scone the first morning, so the second morning I was asked if I wanted a different fruit selection instead. I hadn't said a word, they were just so incredibly observant and kind! The whole experience was just wonderful, and I am sure we will return at some point in the future.

Arriving in late afternoon after a long drive, I was somewhat grumpy as I pulled into the Inn during a thunderstorm. All of that faded after I was shown to my spacious, beautifully appointed room and completely vanished as I discovered that having booked dinner with my reservation, I was to be treated to a 5 course dinner, all by myself in the dining room with Chef Adam cooking and serving one of the best and freshest meals I've had the pleasure to eat in a long time. I'll certainly return and could recommend the Inn and it's very friendly owners and chef to anyone.
5 sur 5A peaceful retreat. Great time.

We would like to thank the inn keepers Neil and Barry for a most pleasant stay. They were so accommodating and helpful during our visit. Our breakfast was a five star meal and presented so beautifully. Its was fascinating hearing about the history from the inn keepers and viewing the photos taken during the restoration and transformation of the inn. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much Neil and Barry.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring. We are history buffs so the manor house was of major interest to us. Beautifully restored. We stayed in the cottage near the manor house which was very convenient for meals. We had dinner at the Inn on Saturday night and that was an excellent culinary experience. Our room had a bit of a musty smell to it that dissipated after our second day there. Neil and Barry are very kind and helpful. It is a wonderful place to relax as there are no televisions in the cottage we were in. Activities close by were taken advantage of by my family. We golfed at Jackson's Chase and had a wonderful trail ride at Double H Stables, both in Front Royal but only 15 minutes from the Inn. We will definitely be going back. 5 out of 5Heaven on the Hill

As in a previous review, my wife and I were wondering if we were on the right road leading to the stately Manor that grabbed our attention in the Select Registry and found on the website. But just as the green of spring sneaks up on you, The Manor House and Cottages appear, and the pictures come to life. This was a little spring getaway from the big city to a country retreat. When we arrived on the property, we found such diverse accommodations from a 200 year old Manor House to a Mill Studio that sits amidst the spring located mid point on the property. Surrounding the accommodations, were well manicured rolling hills and a variety of trees and plants littered throughout the property. We stayed in the Barton Room of the Manor House and each morning we were greeted with friendly and attentive service from the Chief to the Owner. The Owners made you feel as though you were their only guess sitting down to have a conversation with you at the end of the day or making a toast at dinner time ensuring the guests that they are appreciated and return guess are acknowleged as valued customers. The food was a surpise and delight. The Breakfast meal was to die for and afternoon homemade cookies and refreshments were the treat in our day. Overall, we felt as though we had found Heaven tucked away in Virginia at the Inn At Vaucluse Springs.

We had a wonderful wedding anniversary weekend. This was our 5th or 6th visit! Neil and Barry make us feel like we are part of the family. Stayed in the main house this time, but all of their rooms are wonderful - each unique from one another. The Mill House is extra special! We will keep coming back - a great get away with lots to see and do in the surrounding area.

My two sisters and I stayed here for two nights for our annual Sister's Weekend. The whole experience was fabulous! We couldn't have been treated better and the food and rooms were wonderful. Neil and Barry were there to greet us every time we turned around and the staff was exceptional. I highly recommend the Inn for a romantic get-a-way, a weekend like my sisters and I did or even an event like a wedding or family reunion. First class all the way!!!
