    Grace Manor a été construit en 1910 par William Zimmermann comme son épouse "Maison de rêve de Louise". Workmanship, détaillant les matériaux dans toute la maison reflète le style de vie à la mode apprécié dans la rue de Grace Ouest et les quartiers de Monument Avenue au tournant du siècle.     Lovely Stay!

    We stayed three nights at the Grace Manor Inn and loved it! Very clean (thank you, Nora), amazing gourmet breakfasts, and Albert was a gracious host, very helpful and accommodating (we didn't see much of Dawn as she was busy with the cupcake shop). The location is great, with off street parking a plus. The pool and garden area were beautiful and relaxing. My husband has a bad back and the bed in the Shortt Suite was super comfortable. Although the Victorian inn is elegantly decorated, it offers a nice informal atmosphere. Great to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room. WiFi worked great, too. Just know when you're booking that none of the rooms in the house have ensuite bathrooms - they are private, but outside your suite (bathrobes are provided, but they don't necessarily fit all guests). While we knew the Shortt Suite bathroom was small (which was not a problem), the light (especially) and ventilation were lacking. One other small quirk was that the sink in the sitting room of the suite (great feature because of lack of light in bathroom) was pretty much useless - barely a trickle. There is central air that worked very well, plus a few fans in our suite, so the temperature was always comfortable. Also, the Shortt Suite is on the top floor - no elevator, stairs only - which was not a problem for us, but just a heads up. We loved the Grace Manor Inn and the warm hospitality of our hosts. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Richmond.

    Wonderful stay at Grace Manor Inn

    Recently stayed at Grace Manor Inn and highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone who loves visiting the Richmond area. Beautiful surroundings, excellent breakfasts, very clean and comfortable rooms. Albert and Dawn are wonderful and gracious and the dogs are adorable. Ken and Annette from Virginia Beach

    Charming!

    We had a two night stay at Grace Manor. The beds were comfortable, sheets soft and clean. Breakfast was fabulous!! Our inn keeper was charming very knowledgeable about the Richmond area. We would definitely recommend this to friends!

    Great Get Away

    We stayed in the Carriage House; very private with a full kitchen. Modern design, unlike the Inn, and very roomy. We had dinner one night on the balcony overlooking the gardens and pool-lovely. Breakfast was fabulous and the Yorkies are adorable!!

    La Suite Fensterer-Davis.

    Cette suite, qui est la plus grande gamme dans les chambres d'hôtes, a l'étourdissement des murs rouges et est décorée en rouge et or. Il a une chambre à coucher en acajou queen-sized flamme de la 1900's au début et a un beau salon connexion avec un canapé victorien, chaises et un bureau. Le salon présente également un "mur de l'art' mettant en vedette une collection de peintures de période-style dans des cadres dorés à l'or. Une télévision est également masquée dans l'armoire de vapeur tronc d'origine au-dessus de la garde-robe de grand dressing. Le salon et chambre à coucher ont sculpté ornately foyers. Le foyer de la salle est un foyer de travail. Cette suite a sa propre salle de bains privée avec une baignoire de pied claw qui est d'origine à la maison et un décrochage de douche séparée qui a été considéré comme un confort moderne dans sa journée.     Cette suite a des murs or et est décorée dans un jeu de couleurs bleu et or. Il a une chambre à coucher queen-sized définie avec une tête de lit personnalisé drapée avec barres en métal bleu négatif d'une Couronne de lit. Il a également une griffe pied dresser de Dame qui peut être utilisé comme un bureau pour les voyageurs d'affaires. Il se connecte facilement à un salon privé avec un canapé confortable et chaise overstuffed, ainsi qu'un téléviseur. Cette suite a une salle de bains privée, de petite taille et moderne avec une douche. Cette suite est dédiée à Tom et Patty Shortt, qui restaurée avec amour de cette maison à sa splendeur d'origine.

    La Suite Zimmermann

    Cette suite a des murs roses pâles et est décorée dans sage vert et rose. Il a une chambre à coucher cherry queen-sized défini avec les stands de nuit antique français décorer de chaque côté du lit, ainsi que d'un petit bureau français et deux sculptées rosewood antique chaises. Une corniche sculptée ornately se bloque sur le mur derrière le lit et est orné d'un tissu riche, fluide. Le salon a un grand bureau français avec un haut de cuir et une chaise sage baignoire vert avec des tables de fin antiques français décorer de chaque côté de celui-ci. Une télévision est cachée dans le chifforobe directement à partir de celui-ci. Cette suite a une salle de bains privée avec une griffe baignoire qui est d'origine à la maison et un anneau de douche nouvellement ajoutés au pied. Ses grandes fenêtres offrent une vue étonnante de la rue de Grace Ouest. Cette suite est dédiée à William et Louise Zimmermann, qui rêvait à l'origine de cette magnifique maison.

    Maison de transport

    Initialement, cette dépendance a servi comme la maison de transport pour le cheval et le buggy, avec le couchage pour le pilote. Il a été rénové et offre à ses hôtes un lieu entièrement privé pour se détendre et se détendre.     Chacun de nos suites à l'Auberge du Manoir de grâce est unique. Ils sont nommés luxueusement avec lit queen-sized et ont des bains privés et de grandes salles de séance privées. Chacun est peint dans une couleur chaude, riche de cœur authentique de planchers de bois de pin. Lorsque vous entrez le Grace Manor auberge la première chose que vous remarquerez sont les plafonds de hautes spectaculaires et les moulures de Couronne décoratifs incroyable tout au long du premier étage. À droite de l'entrée principale est la salle de musique, qui comprend plusieurs zones d'assise confortable. L'auberge entière est ouvert pour votre plaisir.     Short but Sweet

    We received a stay at the Grace Manor Inn as a gift from our daughters on Living Social. The hospitality of Albert, Dawn and the little yorkies was outstanding, and the goumet breakfast meals were superb. The Inn has a certain elegance,, but at the same time relaxed and cozy.We very highly recommend thius Inn

    Great Weekend Getaway!

    My boyfriend and I stayed in the Carriage house two nights and absolutely loved it! I live in Indiana and he lives in North Carolina so this was an opportunity to spend some much needed one-on-one time together. The house is beautiful and very close to many of the main streets and restaurants. Albert gave us a map right when we arrived and marked all of the popular tourist spots on it for us. We were able to tour the House of the Confederacy (Excellent!), walk down Monument Avenue, visit their cupcake shop (Carytown Cupcakes; Yum!) in Carytown, drive along the James river, and eat at some very nice restaurants. The best food we ate during our visit was definitely breakfast cooked by Albert and Dawn! Delicious! If I visit Richmond again, I will definitely be staying at the Grace Manor Inn. Thank you Albert and Dawn for a wonderful weekend!

    Elegant AND Comfortable

    The house is wonderfully appointed. You could spend a couple days just checking out the artwork, furniture, and other pieces throughout the house. Albert does it all and is a great breakfast chef. Our visit was in early March, so it was too early to use the pool, but it was clean and open for use. Come July and August, the pool would've been a welcome feature on top of what we enjoyed. Our private suite was equally well-appointed. A very comfortable queen sized bed, a vanity sink between the bedroom and a large reading/sitting room with enough books for several summers, and a bathroom with a bath tub and shower.

    Presidents' Day Weekend Trip

    Stayed here over Presidents' Day Weekend 2013 after purchasing a voucher on Livingsocial. We had a great weekend here. The Inn is well-located in Richmond, within walking distance of Monument Avenue and a number of good restaurants. It was also within a quick driving time to Carytown and downtown Richmond. The manager was very knowledgeable about local restaurants and gave good advice for where to get dinner when we checked in relatively late on Friday. The Inn itself is beautiful with several well-furnished common spaces in what I took to be a fin-de-siecle style and an attractive backyard. We would have gone for a swim in the pool if it hadn't been February - I'm sure in the summer it's a great benefit to have an inviting pool so close by. Breakfasts were delicious and ended with a cupcake from Carrytown Cupcakes. We can't recommend Carrytown Cupcakes enough, and having them at the end of breakfast was unusual but highly appreciated. Our Livingsocial voucher came with two free Carrytown Cupcakes, so we got a lot of effective free advertising. (The manager's wife owns the Cupcake store, so that helps explain the cross-marketing.) Our voucher also came with free tickets to the Museum of the Confederacy, which is an attraction worth visiting. While we stayed there, we also visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which is close and has an excellent permanent collection. The owners have three Yorkies, but I didn't hear anything out of them while we were in the main inn, and in fact they stayed out of the common areas entirely so far as I could tell. Overall, highly recommended. We will stay there again when we get a chance to come back to Richmond and stay in the city, and we will recommend it to our acquaintances in the area, as well.
