Colonial Manor Inn

The breakfast is one of the best we've had. Great hosts, very interesting antiques and art (some by Carroll) work throughout the home. We loved the place; felt lucky to have run across it! And talk about gracious service: after I forgot my computer there, Linda mailed it to Massachusetts immediately. Thank you!!

Hospitality was outstanding. Our room was clean and comfortable but arrangement - sitting(TV), bath, sleeping was not very convenient. Still a good value and enjoyable.

The Colonial Manor Inn is a charming, 19th century building decorated beautifully with antiques and paintings. The innkeepers are gracious and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious, the grounds beautiful, and the area is full of interesting things to do and good restaurants. We definitely plan to return.

This is a lovely, charming Inn. It is beautifully maintained and so comfortable and quiet. Innkeepers are extremely helpful and accomodating. The grounds are beautiful. Housekeeping services are excellent too. I can't imagine how one could find a better place to stay if you're in the area. It is ideally located in the middle of Virginia's Eastern Shore. A+

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. Rooms immaculate, nice period furniture throughout. Innkeepers very hospitable. Breakfast food, especially Linda's mom's biscuits. Linda, the innkeeper, paid over a thousand dollars to save a large colony of honey bees from a downed cedar tree in her yard. She also has chickens, clean and healthy, all named, who provide wonderful fresh eggs for guests. These ecologically sound and humane stories convinced us we wanted to stay there!

Colonial Manor Inn is a comfortable, cozy, magnificent inn. The breakfast is superb and rooms are delightfully furnished. An antique lovers destination on the charming Eastern Shore of VA!

Linda was so welcoming. We were the only guests for the evening and had the second floor to ourselves. Our room was delightful- a canopy bed, a small refrigerator with water and snacks, downy pillows and fluffy towels. Down the hall, we enjoyed a cozy library all to ourselves!

The Colonial Manor is a comfortable, secure, friendly place to spend the night of several night. It's within walking distance of the town, and restaurants. Original oil paintings, antiques from foreign lands, canopy beds, a breakfast unsurpassed, innkeepers, Carroll and Linda, who care for you.

Our introduction to bed and breakfast stays was well worth it. The inn is lovely and the grounds are such that, even in poor weather, you'd have a tough time staying bored if you were stuck inside. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of local fare. The innkeepers were very friendly and had great suggestions of things to see and do.

This lovely bed and breakfast was waqrm and friendly in atmosphere. The owners are very hospitable, all the food was delicious and freshly prepared. We really enjoyed our stay--good restaurants nearby.

Linda and Carroll were a perfect compliment to a warm and charming Inn. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, and even welcomed our dogs, which is unusual for such a nice B&B! (Pets have separate entrance and don't roam the house, which was nice, convenient and respectful to the other guests of the Inn.) True pet lovers! The mother/daughter "team" were friendly, accommodating, and generous--serving us a late afternoon snack, calling ahead to make dinner reservations for us, providing us information on restaurants, things to see/do, and sharing town history/stories. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful--fresh fruit, warm baked banana bread, homemade biscuits, and omelets made from freshly laid eggs by the chickens on the property! Inn is clean (w/ nice plush towels!) and beautifully decorated with Carroll's oil paintings--truly amazing works of art. Beautiful grounds and easy walk to a cute town and harbor. Lovely quiet place. Hostess was very gracious and the place is lovely. Room was very spacious and we had a good sleep. Lovely home and is in a good location. House has a lot of atmosphere and lovely charm.

The grounds are beautiful and relaxing, the Inn very comfortable, crisp and clean. The Inn keepers seemed to anticipate out needs and the food and warmth superb. We hope to return there again.

We made a spur of the moment trip to the Eastern Shore and booked reservations after checking the web site. Upon arrival that same day we were greeted with warm homemade sugar cookies. Our room was lovely and quiet (no noisy hotel a/c unit). The owners were lovely people and helped to make our short stay a pleasant experience. Breakfast was wonderful and we appreciated their willingness to serve us. A very pleasant place to stay!

Nice freindly service with a wonderful healthy country breakfast (more than you can eat!) Linda and Carroll were very freindly, informative, and flexible. We enjoyed our stay and will be back on our next visit!
