A comfortable inn with an ideal location. Breakfasts were below what we have experienced. Quantity of food was fine but not the caliber of "gourmet" breakfasts

A lovely house on beautiful property. Our room was very attractive and comfortable. We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped through the front door. Our breakfast was very good, and enjoyed meeting and talking with the other guests over breakfast. Great location, close to Monticello, Michie Tavern, Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, among other locations.

Whether you come to Charlottesville for the history, the wine tours, or a romantic getaway, the Inn at Monticello is a perfect destination. Delicious breakfasts. Wine poured at the appropriate hour. Cookies at bedtime. The rooms are beautiful and hosts, Carolyn and Bob, are experts at Virginia hospitality!

We had a delightful two days at The Inn At Monticello. The hosts were a pleasure to meet and talk to. They serve wine and cheese at five pm, when they light a fire in the fireplace and invite guests to relax.

My wife and I wanted to visit Jefferson's home and found the inn's location—almost at the beginning of the Jefferson Parkway leading to Monticello—too enticing to pass up. But as a bonus, the inn is everything described on its website—elegant, comfortable, “fine food and great company”—what you see is what you get—a most enjoyable experience! Don’t pass up the afternoon/evening beverage and cookies and chatting with other guests. Many thanks to Bob and Carolyn for their warm hospitality.

There were 3 in our party and we each had our own bedroom. The bedrooms and baths were spic and span. My bed was wonderful. I don't know what sheets were on it, but I believe they were the best I've ever slept on. The hosts were welcoming and so helpful, offering suggestions for dinner (which we used and the food was great). We had a wonderful breakfast with a group of guests that included international representation, so the conversation was very interesting. I don't hesitate to recommend this B&B.

We enjoyed delicious breakfasts here and met interesting guests from many parts of the country. Our host was gracious and helpful. The high thread count sheets were much appreciated :-)

Overall the Inn at Monticello exceeded our expectations. Our hosts Bob and Carolyn were gracious. The breakfast each morning was beautifully prepared, and our fellow guests were friendly and outgoing. Charlottesville is a great destination. We came here to visit Monticello, but discovered so much more. Great restaurants, wonderful ambiance; Charlottesville has got it going on. The stay at the Inn at Monticello was the icing on the cake. s

If you are going to Charlottesville or Monticello, I highly recommend The Inn at Monticello. Our room was delightful with an updated bath. The hosts were friendly and very helpful guides to the area. The complimentary glass of wine in the late afternoon helped erase tension of the drive. Breakfast was superb with an outstanding "signature" coffee served. We will definitely return and recommend to our friends!

We stayed at the Inn last weekend (Friday-Sunday) and stayed in the cottage. The owners and staff were very helpful and couldn't be nicer. The breakfasts were delicious and the atmosphere with the other guests couldn't be more enjoyable. We enjoyed having coffee on the porch before breakfast was served and we were offered wine in the early afternoon along with cookies. The warmth of welcome was genuine. A beautiful relaxing setting -- the picture on the website doesn't do it justice. We would definitely stay again.
