"On day 9 of a 10-day motorcycle trip, my wonderful husband surprised me with a night at the Americus Garden Inn. What a treat! We began our stay by winding down in the gazebo swing in their lovely garden. So peaceful after days on the road. Susan showed us to our room with a birds eye view of the garden. The Inn was beautifully restored and decorated--full of history, southern charm and hospitality. Susan and Kim were gratious and knowledgeable about the area and its history. They made us feel welcome and totally at home. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The food was beautifully presented and delicious! Snacks and beverages were always available. The coffee, Susan's own blend, was so good that we purchased a bag to take home.Although we had only planned to stay one night, it was raining the next morning plus my husband wasn't feeling well and really needed a day of rest. Susan was truly concerned and convinced him to stay an extra day for some R&R. We spent a totally pleasant day just sitting in the house reading, relaxing and chatting with Kim and Susan. We like B&Bs and try to stay in them when we travel. This has been my favorite one--we'll definitely return!"
