Deerfield Valley Inn

My friend and I needed a few days away for a little B&B. Very quiet time, peaceful. Very good food (plus tea & cookies) and very friendly and accommodating hosts. It was a very pleasurable stay.

We stayed there during the weekend of Hurricane0 Irene. They were very nice and helpful. They made a picnic lunch for us and recommended a great park for a hike. When the storm hit we got stuck there and they made food for us and let us stay an extra night for free. I definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I have been staying at the Inn for several years now. We are retired and are able to go every few weeks. It is by far the cleanest Inn we have stayed at. Breakfasts are wonderful, more than enough food to last you even beyond lunch. Rooms are comfy and cozy, can't say enough. Doreen and Rosemary are really wonderful and are very accommodating, can't wait for our next trip up.....The Hunt's

I went to Mt. snow in early Feb. for work and stayed at the Deerfield Valley Inn. I found my room to be an amazing peaceful get away at the end of a long, loud crazy work day. Breakfast was wonderful every day and the owners were very accommodating with our crazy schedule! Doreen and Maryann made me feel like I was home at the end of the day.

We have been staying at Deerfield Valley Inn for several years now and never had a problem of any sort. Doreen and Rosemary own and run the B & B they are wonderful, make you feel very comfortable . Breakfasts are excellent, blueberry pancakes are great plus their other choices. Very, Very clean just all around great. We feel like it is our second home. We are retired and go to their establishment every few weeks that is how much we like to stay there. Thanks ladies...Marie & George

The innkeepers were very friendly and responsive to our individual needs. The purpose of our trip was to ski at Mt. Snow. At the end of each ski day, it was a pleasure to return to our room which was cozy, clean, and had an in-room fireplace that we used each night. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Each morning, the innkeepers served made-to-order breakfasts that were well-balanced and of high quality. The overall atmosphere of the inn is quintessential New England. We plan to return next year. All-in-all, we had very pleasurable experience for excellent value.

I have stayed at the Deerfield Valley Inn a few times since 2000. I am always delighted that the innkeeper remembers me. Her Irish touch just adds to the ambiance of "escape" from the grind of New York. The prices are right, the breakfast is delightful and with tea and cookies in the afternoon you just can't go wrong here.

You'll find your second home here - 'tis' a place you'll want to go back to again & again - truly - if you love Vermont, this is the place to stay - you won't be disappointed. :)

My wife and I travel to Vermont for the past 7 years in November and always stay at B&B's. By far this was the best value for your money any where we have stayed over the last 7 years. Staying at the Deerfield Valley Inn is a no brainer if you are going to stay in the Mt. Snow area or even Southern Vermont. See you soon. Ed and Jodi Sheehy

This delightful inn in south Vermont was a wonderful find. We couldn't have had a warmer welcome from our hosts or felt more at home. A lovely room and delicious breakfast, and most helpful advice about the locality.

We have been going to the Deerfield Valley Inn since Feb. 2000, and Doreen and Rosemary are like family now. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else in the area. We are looking forward to our stay there next month.

What a wonderful preserved place to stay. The architectural and decorative additions are in keeping with the original building erected as the home of a lumber 'baron'. Very accommodating owner and staff. Excellent food.

Arrived by bicycle, soaked, with frozen feet after a day riding in the rain. After a cup of hot spice tea and cookies, a hot bath, and a blazing fire in the fireplace, I was a new person. One of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed in. Room was beautifully and comfortably furnished, breakfast more than ample, and our hostesses warm and welcoming and most accommodating to our motley crew. I would most definitely stay again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Deerfield Valley Inn. We loved the breakfasts and enjoyed the cookies & brownies in the afternoon. The bedroom we stayed in was very romantic. We will definately be returning.

It was my family's first time to the Inn and we had a wonderful time. It felt like we were at our aunt's house visiting for the weekend. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and CLEAN! The inn-keepers, Doreen and Rosemarie are just lovely ladies. My children (13yr and 9 yr) were very comfortable at the Inn and are looking forward to going back next year. I give this palce 2 thumbs up!

A clean, warm and friendly environment awaits you at this charming inn... close to skiiing, fabulous breakfast and warm and inviting rooms... what more can anyone want.

We loved the attic room. It was spacious and nicely furnished. Very comfy. Another plus is that you get to control your own heat in the room and there is a separate thermostat in the bathroom. If there is bad weather, you can hop on the Moover that stops at the doorstep.

2 of the nicest innkeepers; very clean rooms; fireplace always set up; great breakfast; very close to the mountain and restaurants; I recommend this money inn to everyone!

What a wonderful getaway! The Deerfield Valley Inn afforded us a peaceful, quiet respite with a wood-burning fireplace in the room, warm Victorian decor, classic New England Christmas decorations in the common areas, scrumptious full breakfast cooked to order, afternoon tea with freshly baked cookies and gracious and helpful innkeepers. What a gem!

Pleasant stay. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I will be going back for another visit in the near future. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. It is a home away from home, actually even better because everything is done for you. Doreen and Rosemary make you feel like one of the family. Very, very clean, excellent breakfasts (I even shared some recipes with Doreen)very hospitable they can't do enough for you, very relaxing. We go to Vermont quite often during ski season and we will certainly be back to their lovely home each time we are in West Dover. The room we stayed in was very quaint and comfy, has a fireplace and is beautifully decorated. They have a very large sitting room for everyone to use with a fireplace, tv and an area where you can get yourself a nice cup of hot tea or hot chocolate and some delicious homemade cakes and head off to the living room or your own room. The Deerfield Valley Inn is a very short distance to Mt. Snow for skiing..excellent location. M & G, NY

I travelled from Europe to stay at the Deefield Valley Inn as I had heard such wonderful comments about this Inn and it's Owners. Both lived up to my expectations. The Deerfield Valley Inn is a gorgeous, 'olde world' building, with very comfortable bedrooms and a wonderful warm, welcoming log fire. The owners Doreen & Rosemary were also so warm and welcoming and looked after us all with a seamless hospitality. The breakfasts of scrambled eggs with cheese or the many varied omelettes were so delicious and I will never forget the everflowing numerous mugs of great, authentic Irish tea. I will certainly return.

After an 8 year hiatus from Vermont, we returned to our old stomping grounds and our charming home-away from home, the Deerfield Valley Inn. We are happy to report that the place has not lost its charm, appeal and hospitality. It continues to be a welcoming environment, convenient to skiing and some of the best restaurants in Vermont. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Doreen and Rosemary are good souls who manage the Inn seamlessly. Whether you are looking for R&R, skiing, hiking or fall foliage, you can’t beat this Inn. We highly recommend staying at the Deerfield.

The rooms here were spectacular and the atmosphere was perfect. The inn was warm and welcoming. You can't beat the location with only minutes away from great hiking trails to mt. Snow. I would love to stay here again in the future!

This charming Inn is warm and welcoming.The rooms are cozy and comfortable.Breakfast is prepared to order and the omelets are delicious not to mention the homemade sweets for afternoon tea.The innkeeper is most helpful in making recommendations and reservations for dinner in the areas many restaurants. very nice Inn, clean and quiet. The room was small, but adequate, however the shower was very small!

I stayed at this wonderful inn two weekends ago and we cant stop talking about what a wonderful time we had. Doreen and Rosemary are wonderful hosts and boy can Doreen cook...GREAT BREAKFAST.... The houkeeper I think her name was Mary was wonderful the rooms were spotless..... Great location and wonderful accomodations...Thanks and we will be back............

Rosemary at the Deerfield Valley Inn is cheerful and helpful, and is one of the rare individuals that seems to enjoy her work. The Inn is run almost invisibly, but all remains clean and in order. The breakfast room is charming, and good basic breakfasts are offered. It's not gourmet, but it will alway be hot, enjoyable, and plenty to fill you up. Our room was a fireplace suite, with antique furnishings, and a fully stocked woodpile. The room is cozy, with comfy beds and duvet comforters. There's no coffee maker in the room, but there are always beverages available in the hallway by the breakfast room. The bathroom is bit small in the shower area due to a dormer sloping roof in the room we had, but overall was clean and well appointed. The house feels like family, and guests are made to feel a part of the Inn. There's a living room with games and puzzles with a larger TV as well. All in all a very pleasant stay.

My husband and I found the Deerfield Valley Inn a few years ago purely by accident. What a find! Whenever we are in Vermont, no matter where, we always set aside an evening to stay with Doreen and Rosemary. The Inn has a warm, cosey feel. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming whether it is summer, fall, winter or sping. We always try to stay in the same room with a fire place which is always prepared for a fire. Doreen and Rosemary are kind and generous and the hot tea as soon as you walk in the door makes one feel right at home. It is fun to visit in the sitting room and watch the fire. Breakfast is always delicious and served with a smile. We travel a lot and have never found a B&B like it. I recommend it highly.

I have stayed at the Inn a number of times and each stay was a delightful experience. The innkeeper and staff are warm, unassuming & friendly and the public and guest rooms cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts are excellent! Location is convenient to activities, restaurants, etc. A great place to stay!

This was our second visit to the inn and we found it just as warm, friendly, and comfortable as the first time. The inn is affordable, the management unpretentious but professional, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay, including immaculate rooms, friendly attention, & excellent breakfasts. Highly recommended!

Every time we travel to Vermont, The Deerfield Valley Inn in West Dover, Vermont is our favorite place to stay. The Innkeeper(s) are so friendly and make us feel right at home. They make us feel so welcomed in their inn from the time we arrive until we leave. One of our trips our daughter joined us. When making the reservation, I asked for the room with a sofa for her to sleep on. The ladies were so nice, that they gave our daughter her own room to stay in for the night, even though we had only booked one room. We enjoy just the chit chat that can occur with the innkeepers on the way to breakfast or after, before we leave. Our trip to Vermont would not be complete without spending at least one night at the Deerfield Inn.

The place was wonderful, clean, cozy, elegant. The breakfast was great and the hospitality of the Innkeeper was really special. I felt at home in the luxury of this beautiful inn in Vermont.
