Visited the Fife and Drum Inn for a few days with family on our way to NY and had an amazing time. The location is perfect and is within walking distance colonial Williamsburg. The owners are the nicest people and really make you feel at home. Everything from the delicious breakfast, to the cookies they leave out at night, to the well decorated rooms, makes this the best place to stay in Williamsburg.

Lovely room, FANTASTIC location, friendly, professional owners/employees. I have already recommended the Fife and Drum to others and most definitely plan to stay there again myself.

The Fife and Drum is an excellent place to stay in Williamsburg. It has an ideal location right in the middle of the historic section and dining and blocks from the train station. Billy and Sharon are wonderful engaging hosts, helpful in directing us towards the local attractions and restaurants. The rooms are spotless, quiet and comfortable-- charming furniture with the added luxury of modern bathrooms. Breakfast is simple but delicious and substantial. The only drawback for us was the bed was softer than what we are used to-- but a personal preference only.

Wonderful, comfortable place to stay in the heart of the Colonial Capital. The hosts are native to the area and thus are uniquely qualified to guide you in every way. Has become our "go to" place for a weekend away.

This was our second time staying at The Fife & Drum for our anniversary and it was perfect. We love the location and the historic charm. It hands down the best place to stay in Williamsburg. We're already looking forward to coming back next year!

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We might never stay in a hotel again! Everything we needed or wanted to do was within easy walking distance so when we parked our car, we did not have to use it again. Restaurants, shops and historic area were all right there. The room was very quiet, the breakfast delicious and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for people wanting to be close to all there is to do in Historic Williamsburg!

If you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg, you will find the location of the Fife&Drum to be great. Historic sites, as well as shopping and dining, can be reached with just a short walk. It's right next to William and Mary College, so be prepared to experience the college night life atmosphere whether you want to or not! We have stayed at many B&B's through the years, and no two are alike. The Fife&Drum has it's little quirks. For example, the sink in our room was not in the bathroom. It was out by the bed! Overall, if you like staying at B&B's then you will like the Fife&Drum.

I was coming down to Williamsburg to go to a convention being held the Convention Center and Lodge, and decided to stay somewhere a little more interesting. Came across the F&D and was pleasantly surprised by both the cost and location. Simply stated, what a great choice I made to stay there! The location was literally in the heart of Old Town and next to the College of William & Mary. The room was even nicer than I expected (highly recommend the W&M Room which is off to one side thus probably a bit quieter). The only issue I had was identifying the building as I came in late, it was dark and it's a small entrance going up above a few of the stores and restaurants. Service was wonderful, and would highly recommend this to anyone going to Williamsburg. Will definitely stay there on my next to Williamsburg.

We stayed 3 nights while visiting Williamsburg only a block away! Despite being across from a college dorm and right in town its very quiet. Breakfast a nice buffet in a small common room. Owner,Bill was helpful with tips for Jamestown and Yorktown. Would recommend.
