Waiting Room with books and periodicals.
Stamey Room. The only bedroom located on the firt floor. The green color offers a peaceful night and nothing but sweet dreams and restful sleep. The windows open to wonderful lilac trees in the summer with large purple blooms draping from the limbs. All rooms are furnished with wonderful robes for your convenience.

Cox Room. Fabulous large room with sitting area. Elegantly appointed with Queen size bed and warm brown and burgundy tones to gound you. A leather loveseat to relax and watch TV or read a book. Luxurious robes hanging in the closet and a cashmere blanket to wrap up in.
Bowie Room has full size antique iron bed, decorated in yellow hues,makes a very cozy and comfortable retreat.
Guests making music during the Old Fiddler's Convention - Oldest and Largest in the World.
Our front porch is a wonderful place to relax and meet other guests.
Bolen Room with lots of windows looking into the nearby mountain. Georgous Room with Queen size bed and cool teal tones to rest & relax you.
Doctor's Lounge with hot and cold beverages,ice machine, small refrigerator, and snacks for the midnight munchies.
Waddell Room has a perfect view of the outside Victorian Gardens. Lots of windows, bright and sunny.
Green Bathroom with orginial green tile.

This was our 5th stay at the Doctor's Inn so this should say it all! Beautiful location, excellent breakfast & most comfortable beds anywhere. The innkeeper is most gracious and kind!

We live less than an hour away, but our visit at The Doctor's Inn felt as though we were in a different world! So pleasant, gracious, and thoughtful.

This is a beautiful B&B nestled in the lovely town of Galax, with easy access to wineries, music, biking and/or hiking on the New River Trail State Park. Margo is more than an accommodating innkeeper and her breakfasts are superb. The decor is impeccable and interesting and the rooms -- all wonderfully different -- are supremely comfortable. We've stayed twice and plan to return again (and again!).

The Doctor's Inn was very nice. We were there for the Fiddler's Convention and it was great to be able to walk about 1 mile to the fair grounds. Breakfast was great - much better than any hotel self service breakfast. It was a lovely house, the bed very comfortable, and it was nice to have water, coffee, cocoa and snacks available at anytime.
