"My husband and I found this hotel completely by accident. We were staying at a hotel in Guadalajara when we travelled to Tlaquepaque. While spending the day in this beautiful city, walking everywhere and exploring, we came across Rosa Morada. We decided to go inside....by this time we were in love with Tlaquepaque and had discussed spending more than an afternoon in this area. We were greeted by the owners and they answered all our questions, showed us the property including several of the rooms and instantly made us feel welcome. We thanked them and went on our way. We decided to tour several other boutique hotels, but NOTHING COMPARED to the charm, authentic mexican style, friendliness of the owners/staff, and cleanliness of the Rosa Morada. We later called the hotel, booked a room and in the end were not disappointed. Even better than we had thought. Service is amazing, rooms are very clean, courtyard is relaxing, and the breakfast and coffee are very good. There is no question that when we return to the area, (and hopefully that will be soon) we will be staying at this hotel. If you are not familiar with Tlaquepaque, this location is perfect. It is only a couple blocks from all the shops, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc and is in a very safe area.
