"It was a happy surprise for Jane and I to visit Emily Dickinson finally. We live in different parts of the country- Jane in FL and I am in NH. We had been planning to go to Amherst for several years, but things kept coming up. What a treat to go to the Horace Kellogg Homstead. It was a 5 right down the line. We each had our own room - something about my snoring....and mine was absolutely perfect in every way. It was beautifully decorated and had every possible amenity.. ac- tv- beautiful windows and views- comfortable beds- lots of choice pillows.. Service was spectacular and the breakfast, super. Extraordinary value for what was charged..far less than what I think it usually costs. The bathroom was fabulous- with a large window and lots of room and many provisions such as soaps and toiletries, etc.. They thought of everything, Most of all Susan and her husband were terrific. What interesting people and they are and they have done so much for their community. It was marvelous talking to them and finding out many things about the area and "Emily"! It was just great in all ways! "
