"My boyfriend and I made our first trip down to Charleston this past weekend. I had scoured the internet trying to find a place for us to stay that had everything: affordability (I'm in between college and medical school and am on a budget), cleanliness, location, and the ability to offer an authentic Charleston experience (aka not the Best Western). I was about to give up on getting all of these things when I found the Lavender and Lace Bed and Breakfast. It was absolutely everything I wanted and more! Judy is the embodiment of southern hospitality and was so helpful both before and during our visit. The rooms are very clean, the food is well-stocked and delicious, and the location is unbeatable. I recommend using the bikes she provides to see the neighborhood--it's a great way to relax and get a feel for life in historic Charleston. If you're planning a trip to Charleston, this is definitely the place to stay! "
