"Our first experience at staying in a B&B was unnerving. It was such a fine experience that I doubt few other B&Bs can match it. I'm serious. Ed and Gerrie were so professional and friendly that I felt fully comfortable and welcome. Their B&B is so well designed that you fail to realize that this is their home, too! They have branded their business professionally, with mugs and soaps all bearing their logo, making a great first impression. The robes and slippers, the flashlight on the night stand, and other amenities provided complete the feeling of being pampered. The layout of the rooms maximizes the feeling of privacy without losing the feeling of hominess. The location is beautiful, and convenient for those launching treks into nature. Be advised that the location is rather remote. Petersburg provides ample fast food choices (McDonalds, Arbys, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, and Subway), but beside a couple of "Home Cooking" restaraunts and a Chinese food place, there are few other food choices. Be prepared to drive a distance to reach finer restaurants. I found this no problem in that I know this area well and knew what to expect. Also note that the almost two miles back to the B&B is on a narrow and rough paved road--drive slowly! While in the area, don't forget to check out the Civil War fort (Mulligan), and the train depot (great gift shop). Seneca Rocks is a "must see" if you haven't been there. Most of all, Ed and Gerrie are among the nicest people you will ever meet. I plan on staying with them again as soon as possible."
