"Just came home from a wonderful weekend! Joan was a perfect hostess. We arrived a little late but was made to feel right at home by coming in the back door into the homey kitchen. She showed us our beautiful room ( Carolina Room) and surprised us with fresh flowers and chilled champagne! Breakfast both days was fantastic! My husband jokingly asked where was the gravy to go with the biscuits(we are from the south!) and the next morning she had made him gravy. After explaining why I could not eat her crepes and jam(diabetes) she filled my plate the next morning with things I could eat making sure not to "tempt " me with the forbidden food. The bed was comfortable, the entire house including the bathroom was spotless. We even had soft, fluffy robes for our comfort. A small fridge upstairs made sure we had plenty to drink at night if we became thirsty. Coffee was placed outside our bedroom door each morning with beautiful china cups to make us feel extra special. Thank you Joan and your "maintenance man" for a beautiful anniversary weekend!
