      Directions from Portland Take I-5 South. Take Exit 294, (Hwy 99w, Tigard). Stay on Hwy 99w for about 11 miles. One quarter mile after passing mile marker 18, take a right onto Bell Rd. Turn left at the T, staying on Bell Rd. Follow Bell Rd to the second stop sign; take a slight right onto the gravel road Mountain Top Rd. The B&B is about three-quarters of a mile on the left side. Directions from Dundee and McMinnville Head east on 99W into Newberg. Turn left onto 219 North (also called N. College St.). Follow 219 1.8 miles and then turn right on Bell Road. After several bends in the road you will come to a T-intersection. Take a left onto the gravel road Mountain Top Rd. The Bed & Breakfast is about three-quarters of a mile on the left side.

    Thanks for giving us 4 stars even though we failed to meet some of your expectations. I’d like to address some of those expectations with explanations, and some with a hearty “I’m sorry”. First, the challenge of finding us. Although we’re a 10 minute drive from Newberg, some GPS units have an error which adds 2 miles of gravel road to the route. Until the GPS map is updated, we recommend guests follow the directions we provide. Next, our mattresses, being memory foam, need a wood box under them as a box spring cannot support their weight. You don’t say that you didn’t sleep well, so it’s hard for me to know what bothered you about the bed-skirt-covered box. Touching on the art & furniture: I think you stayed in our Rose Garden Room which has contemporary photos of roses from our local garden and a charming picket fence headboard. Maybe it’s not your style, but the photos on our website are pretty spot-on in showing the décor and the choices in the other rooms, like the wrought iron décor of the Wine Country Room. While we do not have amenities, we provide very nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in our wall dispensers. We try to be eco-friendly and find the immense waste generated by little bottles unacceptable. I am sorry the gel dispenser didn’t work; hopefully the individual soap bars (recycled with Clean The World) met your needs. I’m very sorry that we did not change your towels as you wanted. There was a breakdown in communication between myself and my fill-in while I was out sick. Our policy is to change towels after the third night or when a guest leaves the towels in the tub or on the floor. We also stock extra towels in the bathroom so you were never far from new towels. For future guests, be assured that I and my staff endeavor to fix any problem within our ability to change. While we can’t change the headboard or art, a quick knock on the kitchen door or a phone call if we’re out running errands will have us working hard to make things right.
