"When I think of the Bee & Thistle I think of WOW.....we were totally and utterly amazed at the beautiful and tasteful decoration and the attention to detail and friendly atmosphere. We booked Florences Room which was just gorgeous and overlooked a lovely garden at the rear of the property. It was spotlessly clean and and bathroom was fabulous with a tub,and walk in shower. Each evening we came home to the menu for breakfast the following day and this also gave you the names of your fellow guests (a lovely touch) and also the most yummy homemade cookies too. You may be thinking a menu for breakfast? Each morning the homecooked 3 course breakfast was different and really set you up for the day with the most exquisite presentaton. The location of the B&B just off Commercial Drive was great. There are numerous restaurants to choose from (check out Lynn & Michaels blog on their visits to local restaurants) and it is so easy to get into the centre of Vancouver (either the SkyTrain, 10min walk up Commercial Drive or the 20 Bus, which stops at the end of the street). We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and Lynn & Michael left us a bottle of wine in our room and a card, it brought tears to my eyes we were totally overwhelmed by their thoughtfulness. I would thoroughly recommend you stay at the Bee & Thistle if you want luxurious surroundings, very friendly service and great location.....give it a go, you won't be disappointed."
