Peak foliage takes place on Sept 28 at 5:07 AM and I'm the only one who sees it! The question "when is peak" is paramount to planning fall trips to New England. Fortunately, everyday here is spectacular. Our location is particularly well suited to use as a base to take day trips around NH,Vt, Maine, and Mass. We are only a 2 hour drive along back roads with gorgeous scenery to almost any spot you wish to visit. We always go over maps and itinerarys pointing out not to be missed spots along the way. Yes, we even hand out maps so you will make it back in time for the evening meal! More than once, however, we have heard the comment " we were gone all day, had a great trip, and found the brightest colors right here when we returned!"
