My fiance and I stayed at Faunbrook in May 2014. We had a lovely time. The grounds are beautiful. The restored historic house was elegant, clean, and comfortable. The B&B owner and staff were friendly and professional. The location is perfect; there is a beautiful and easy 5 - 10 minute walk into the center of town. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

I was in West Chester for a short conference, and was not interested in staying at the two hotels in town recommended by the conference, so I stayed at Faunbrook instead - what a great decision that was! My room (Isabel) was beautiful, and made me feel like a queen. It had a big, comfy canopy bed, lots of space and pretty details, and a wonderful, claw foot tub in the bathroom. There is a soap/bath products store in town - Silvanus - where I purchased some wonderful lavender bubble bath to use for my evening bubble bath. The breakfast was wonderful, too. The first morning, we had fabulous raspberry pancakes and a veggie frittata (I don't eat meat). The second morning, I they made me another kind of veggie frittata along with delicious scones. The coffee was great, too! The owner is very friendly, and the downstairs area inviting with lots of books, including a photo album with photos and articles about the Darlington family and past owners of Faunbrook - not to be missed! Faunbrook is also an easy walk into West Chester, so I walked back and forth to the conference one day as well. All, in all, a perfect stay at the Faunbook and visit to West Chester.

My husband and I stayed here in early October, visiting our daughter at her boarding school nearby. The B&B itself is gorgeous: the big yard, giving a feeling of being out in the country, the lovingly restored and maintained historic house, and the beautiful, luxuriously-appointed guest rooms. But the icing on the cake (literally) was the extra effort our hosts went to for us. It was our daughter's birthday, and they let us stage a little celebration for her in the dining room that night; we brought the cake and candles, and they supplied plates, napkins, forks, cake server, etc, and cleaned up afterwards. It was her first birthday away from home, and it really helped to be able to celebrate it in a beautiful, home-like setting. Then they got up quite early the next morning, to serve us breakfast before we had to leave for the Parents' Day activities. Thank you so much!

After the big event at Kings Mill, this is the perfect getaway. We arrived late and all was prepared for our arrival. Our car and luggage were delivered early in the day prior to our wedding. When we arrived, champagne was ready, bed was ready and next morning, breakfast was ready!!! Life is great!!!

Thank you for the great hospitality. We had work to do that afternoon and loved the open space to spread things out. Great service and wonderful historic place!

My husband and I were married at the Faunbrook in October, 2008 and it was just the most perfect, personal, warm atmosphere to celebrate with our friends and family. We originally had booked with the previous innkeeper whom was just a wonderful woman and a big part of our reason for booking, shortly after the inn changed management and we were very pleasantly reassured by the current innkeepers Lori and Steve who helped make our day special and unique. We then again stayed on our wedding anniversary in 2011 which was a surprise by my husband, whom did not remember the name of the room we had stayed in. There must have been some confusion because all rooms were previously booked under our names so Lori did the best she could from memory. When we arrived my husband was devastated that it was not the same room and although I was still so happy just to be back there, he wanted to make this special as we were expecting our first baby at the time. He mentioned it to Lori to see if we could switch the rooms, and unfortunately it had been booked for sometime. This did not at all ruin the wonderful memories we were able to share and Lori was such a wonderful hostess she comped the room entirely for the misunderstanding! The rooms and detail of this location are absolutely beautiful, it is extremely clean and breakfast is always wonderful. We had an amazing breakfast the day after our wedding with our entire family and it was just as memorable during our revisit. Thanks again Lori and Steve for being such gracious hosts! Stayed October 2011

The Faunbrook Inn is in a great location, close to West Chester University, Winterthur, Longwood Gardens and downdown West Chester's many restaurants. The Inn is lovely, full of antiques and comfortable rooms. The bathrooms are modern and very nice. Laurie is a great cook and she prepares a wonderful breakfast every morning.

Not wanting to spend Christmas in a hotel room, my husband, daughter and I decided to book rooms at Faunbrook. Best decision we ever made! Faunbrook was gloriously decorated inside and out and was a wonderful place to bring family & friends to spend time in the many living spaces on the first floor. Very warm and welcoming! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, all with full private bathrooms. Steve & Lori were wonderful hosts. We liked the fact that the breakfasts were made with farm-fresh eggs and meats. The cinnamon bread was to die for and we highly recommend Lori's pastries....AWESOME! Anytime we come back to the West Chester, PA area, we will be making reservations at Faunbrook. For the value and the comfort (and the best Bananas Foster French Toast that I have ever had), we highly recommend it.
