    Visit our bed and breakfast and Lancaster County. The Lancaster is an historic inn centrally located in Lancaster, PA, between it's energized downtown and the heart of Pennsylvania Amish Country. The house first served as the home to members of the Armstrong family of cork and tile fame. Armstrong World Headquarters still makes its home in Lancaster, PA. Built in 1912 in the Dutch Colonial style popular at the time, the house made a handsome residence for the families who occupied the home until 1986 when it first became a bed and breakfast.

    Our premier accomodation, The Hawthorn Suite, features a queen size bed, sitting area, Satellite TV/DVD, electric fireplace, a large ensuite Master Bath with a soaking tub and walk-in shower. A dressing room adjoins the bedroom to the bath. This suite also features a large walk-in closet.
    The Chamomile: Our Juniper-Chamomile Suite has two adjoining bedrooms, making it perfect for a family or two couples. The Chamomile room has a queen-sized bed and an electric fireplace while the Juniper room features two twin-sized beds and electric fireplace. Both rooms offer Satellite TV/DVD. Accessed from the hall is the adjacent large private bathroom that retains its original fixtures. This bathroom serves only the Juniper-Chamomile Suite. You may book one or both rooms in the Juniper-Chamomile Suite. $125/night for the Juniper or the Chamomile or $195/night for the Suite.
    The Juniper: Our Juniper-Chamomile Suite has two adjoining bedrooms, making it perfect for a family or two couples. The Chamomile room has a queen-sized bed and an electric fireplace while the Juniper room features two twin-sized beds and electric fireplace. Both rooms offer Satellite TV/DVD. Accessed from the hall is the adjacent large private bathroom that retains its original fixtures. This bathroom serves only the Juniper-Chamomile Suite. You may book one or both rooms in the Juniper-Chamomile Suite. $125/night for the Juniper or the Chamomile or $195/night for the Suite.
    The Foxglove, located on the third floor, features a queen size bed and has a pull out trundle bed for a third person. There is a sitting area with two wing-back chairs, Satellite TV/DVD. The ensuite bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a skylight. This room also has an electric fireplace.
    The Clove, located on the third floor, features a queen size bed, reading chair, Satellite TV/DVD, electric fireplace and an ensuite bathroom with original clawfoot tub and hand held shower.

    The Study is a cozy nook featuring a gas fireplace, desk with laptop and printer for guest use, and a guest refrigerator with complimentary waters, sodas and snacks. There is also wireless internet access throughout the Inn.

    Outstanding Bed and Breakfast

    This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and we were truly amazed!! Keith and Brad were Wonderful Hosts, The Room was beautiful and comfortable and the Breakfast was first class, I cannot wait until we can come back to The Lancaster Bed and Breakfast, It was our home away from home!!     We stayed in October of '10, and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating our "babymoon" and Gerry and Dave were fantastic hosts. They had wonderful advice for the area and were very friendly. Room was great, breakfast was FANTASTIC. I would definitely recommend this to friends, family, or strangers. 5stars all the way!

    37TH Wedding Anniversary.

    From the moment we met Dave at the "backdoor" we knew our kids had made the right choice. Our Bed & Breakfast stay was a gift for our 37th anniversary. We stayed in the master suite and the room was more than we ever expected. We felt at home here. Gerry & Dave are very friendly. Gerry made great breakfasts. Dave was a wealth of information on the Lancaster area. All the guests during our visit had something to add around the breakfast table. This was our first bed & breakfast experience and was a great one. We would not hesitate to stay here on another visit to Pennsylvania "Dutch Country." My daughter also arranged for a plate of chocolate covered strawberries in our room. We were very pleased to find out they were not store bought but hand crafted by Gerry.

    Outstanding! Warm and Wonderful!

    The house is warm and so inviting as are the innkeepers Gerry and Dave. The location is perfect for easy access to downtown Lancaster of Amish farms and more. The room and the bed were just so comfy and clean. You can tell their is both pride of ownership and a genuine desire to make you comfortable and welcome.We absolutely felt right at hone here. Our only complaint way too much really good food for breakfast! Everything from fresh fruits, juice, sweet and savory offerings. You won't leave hungry! We have stayed at some of the finest luxury hotels and this inn ranks right up there with the best of them. Everything you will need for a wonderful stay in Lancaster is right here at O'Flaherty's Dingeldein House, give it a try you will not be disappointed!

    The Foxglove

    At the top of the stairs, the Foxglove provides ample space for a small family or three touring friends. In addition to a queen-sized bed, the room also has a trundle bed that serves as a comfortable place for a third guest to sleep. This room also features a large electric fireplace and Satellite TV/DVD. The bathroom tucked under the eaves features a skylight and is very spacious with a tub and shower combination. $135/night double occupancy; add $20 for a third party.

    On the third floor, tucked under the eaves of The Lancaster, is our cozy Clove room. Originally the housekeeper's quarters, it is now a hideaway from the bustle of everyday life. This serene room contains a queen-sized bed and a comfortable reading chair and electric fireplace, as well as Satellite TV/DVD. The en-suite bathroom contains a charming original claw-foot bathtub with a sitting hand held shower

    Anniversary weekend

    My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at O'Flaherty's Dingeldein House and it was a wonderful experience!! The room was beautiful and clean, and the food was beyond excellent! The house is extremely warm and cozy and Dave and Gerry equally gracious and helpful. Dave's knowledge on the area and its attractions made everything so much easier, as we were unfamiliar with the area. We would definitely love to return!

    My fiancee and i stayed a weekend for and loved every min of it. Gerry and Dave were such gracious hosts. The meals were made to perfection and Dave's knowledge of the surrounding area was exactly what we needed for a fun filled weekend. Dave arranged a meal for us with an Amish family. Such a awesome experience. We've enjoyed our stay so much, that I am now looking into booking yet another getaway weekend. Gerry and Dave, Thanks for you hospitality.

    I cannot express how wonderful my stay was at this B&B. The home is absolutely beautiful and you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the front door. When you arrive, you are greeted by Dave who then gives you a tour of the home. The innkeepers provided a wonderful breakfast and were very hospitable. They also had a lot of knowledge about the Lancaster area. But most importantly, this inn was immaculate. Everything had a shine to it. The beds in our rooms were also outstanding where you felt you were sleeping in your own bed at home. If you are thinking about going to the Lancaster area, be sure to book at this inn. You will not be sorry. Enjoy!!!!

    I loved it here

    We stayed at O'Flaherty"s Nov.10th-the 12th. 2011 This was such a nice place, we stayed in the Rose Room. It was quiet, private,and comfortable. The Host's Dave and Gerry were so gracious and very informative about the area and events happening in the area. The breakfast's were amazing, and we met such nice people at the table, conversations were interesting and fun. We would stay here again without any hesitation. The location was also very convenient easy to get to and everything was within 10-15 minutes.

    Chaque petit déjeuner est spéciale à la maison de Dingeldein de O'Flaherty et chaque petit déjeuner est servi à son apogée de la perfection - il est donc important que nous sommes tous servi ensemble à chaque matin de 8 h 30. Café et thé est disponible en 7: 00 chaque matin et nous pouvons accueillir précoce des rendez-vous d'affaires ou que montgolfière tôt le matin spécial rouler avec une pratique "petit déjeuner allez pack" de café, jus, fruits et une barre de céréales. Nous assurer que les viandes de petit déjeuner, mais nous sommes aussi plus sensibles aux besoins de nos clients végétarien. Bien que la plupart de petits déjeuners comportent un accompagnement des viandes tels que localement cured bacon, locales saucisses ou jambon.
