We decided to visit Johnstown, PA and found very few decent B&B's in that area, so I somehow found this Inn. Had a wonderful long conversation w/Heather and made a reservation & then found out it was a 40 mile drive! Once we arrived at the Inn we were not disappointed! Heather is an extremely gracious host who is very friendly, outgoing, a phenomenal chef, and made us feel right at home. The inn was like eye candy for us: from the numerous photos/pictures/plates on the walls to the floor to wall mirrors to the quaint piano off in the corner to the long comfy window seat you can sit in and read or just daydream about the clouds in the sky to the different patterned rugs on the floors to the big fireplace adorning the living room to the overstuffed magazine racks left there to peruse to the rich patterned curtains on all the windows, etc. Our room (The Cypress Room) was exactly what we expected with a nice modern bathroom and a very comfy bed that we fell asleep into after nice long showers. There are no TV's or radios, so be prepared - it took me a while!! Breakfast was wonderful: vegetable strata, fried potatoes, thick bacon, fresh orange juice and coffee and nice hot scones. What more could we ask for?? We are already planning our next trip up there for next month! Can't wait to visit again!!

7 of my family members stayed at the inn due to a family funeral. Everyone enjoyed their rooms. The house is beautiful. We loved the vast array of books and magazines. The black & white suite is huge!! Thanks for a nice stay given the circumstances.

The home has been completely restored and has a very welcoming and grandeur aura about the home. The garden room we stayed in had tall celings with little interesting trinkets, books, and artwork throughout the room. The bathroom had all the current accomodations and everything a normal hotel would have, i.e. towels, robe, and samples. Breakfast was served promptly at 9:00 on sunday morning, and was expertly prepared and was very delicous. There are so many things about the home that made it extremely interesting, and the history collected about the past homeowners make it that much more so. Heather was a excellent hostess and I would recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway to the area.

The owner was kind enough to leave us a key since we arrived after 12:30 AM. The room was very clean and nicely appointed, however, there was no heat in the room and we froze for two nights. It would have been much more enjoyable if we didn't need the hairdryer to keep warm.

I gladly try to correct problems and accomodate my guests whenever I can. In october the weather can be unpredictable warmer during the day and sometimes the temperature does drop at night.I sometimes leave keys when I do not personally check-in guests after midnight,if guests do not eat breakfast I have no way to double checking details,a decision I will think twice about in the future. I am really sorry these guests had a poor experience.

Heather could not have been a better hostess! She is welcoming and very accomodating to guests' needs. The Inn itself is beautiful and Heather is also very knowledgeable about its history and architectural features. I would definitely reserve the Garden Room again!

I recently spent three nights here while attending a family funeral and, on the basis of the website information, convinced two other family members to join me. We all agreed that the rooms were exceptionally spacious, with 12' ceilings, tastefully appointed and clean with top flight linens, modern baths, the breakfasts flawless and the inkeeper especially competent, talented and helpful. No TV/radio in the rooms but the wireless internet kept us in touch with the outside world when needed, so this wasn't a problem. It is located on the nicest street in town, just outside the commercial district. I encourage you to discover this place for yourself. You will not be disappointed but, like us, will look forward to a return visit.

I was in the area for work and the Iron Corbel Inn was a great place to stay. The wireless was super fast, the breakfast was tasty, the Inn keeper was friendly and knowlegeable, and I had a restful stay even though working. The neighborhood is great for walking/jogging. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again.

The pictures on the website don't do this B&B any justice. I thought I was walking into a 19th Century movie set. The care in selecting everything from the dishes to the furniture to the draperies is evident in every step you take through this house. I told my hostess that I wanted to live there. The bathroom was cleaner than any major hotel I've been in. I had no problem falling asleep in my comfortable queen bed. Breakfast was delicious. I can't wait to find a reason to go back.
