anniversary trip

4,4 sur août 30, 2015

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast so we weren't sure what to expect. The Brickhouse has set the bar high for any others that we might stay at. The backyard patio dining was great. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding us towards tours and restaurants. They even made the reservations for us. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Brick house inn recommendation

5 sur août 26, 2015

My boyfriend and I booked the South Carolina room at the Brickhouse in bed and breakfast the night before we went. It was a spontaneous getaway that was 100% worth it. I soon as we got there we were greeted by the staff who was super friendly and sweet. They showed us around and all of the facilities that we can use it was cute clean historical and beautiful. This was our first time staying at a bed-and-breakfast and I would honestly recommend this place to all of my friends and family because they made our weekend very special and I was pleased with the service provided on top of the adorable cozy rooms. I would love to go back in the fall time !

Outstanding B&B

5 sur août 20, 2015

You can search but you will not find a better B&B. The owners, the staff, the rooms, the location, all in one great package.

Central location. Clean and comfortable. Lovely gardenS.

4,2 sur août 18, 2015

We stayed two nights enjoying breakfast in the garden both mornings. Dessert included shoofly pie. We sat on the front porch rockers and in the Adirondack chairs in well tended and flowering gardens. Bathroom shower worked well as compared to other bed and breakfasts where the plumbing is sometimes dated. Innkeeper helped us find a last minute guide for a personal tour. Inn dates to the Civil War with its own history. Location works well if you want to park and enjoy dinner and drinks. Restaurants are within walking distance. Highly recommend to other couples.

Warm Welcome Turned Cold

2,6 sur août 13, 2015

Perhaps we put 2 much faith in a B&B being calm & relaxing. Janice made us feel very welcomed. room was smaller then the pictures make it, could not walk past each other w/o turning sideways. breakfast: French toast, which I was looking forward 2, sat next to the dryer vent, which started venting. French toast was very thick & rich, stuffed with a thick cream cheese mix, topped w/ nuts & thick syrup. ate 3 bites, 2 heavy 4 summer, 2 slices of bacon were nice & crisp, rivaled a salt lick. I'm a salt person, if it's too salty, there's a problem. iced tea was awful, tasted like it was run thru coffee grounds a few times. dryer made me nautious, we move to a table away from the dryer vent & we are chastised by the server, she ripped the clean settings off the table, "I had this set as a clean table." She was not happy, which made me feel bad. I felt so sick that I had to wait for my stomach to settle. Had a great day at Gettysburg. we get back to find a bottle of wine & bowl of choc. strawberries. It was the Inn apologizing (extremely nice) for breakfast. how did they know? the housekeeper had read my notes which is why they have a notepad on the dresser, oops. I was mortified. Now I feel bad for making them feel bad, I find Amy who apologized for everything, including the ice tea, which she tasted & agreed. she knew breakfast didn't go well, she was happy to receive our notes. The staff had been told about the dryer, problems with the server, etc., at least I knew that It wasn't all in my head. an incredibly warm welcome, ended with me feeling uncomfortable & unwelcome. heading out to Gettysburg in October, but will most likely be giving another Inn a chance.

A wonderful experience as always

5 sur août 13, 2015

The rooms, service, value, cleanliness, and onsite dining are absolutely outstanding! As always, my boyfriend and I have a wonderful time at the Brickhouse Inn! It is our favorite place to stay when we come to Gettysburg! It is clean, the owners and staff are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are beautiful! The breakfast each morning is always delicious and they make changes in meals whenever asked, they are very accommodating. Whenever you need something they are always available to help you out. We have stayed here a handful of times now and plan on doing so again very soon. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for a wonderful weekend away!

The best place to stay in Gettysburg, bar none.

5 sur août 13, 2015

The hosts are gracious and personable; the central location is superb; the food innovative and comforting at the same time. It is everything anyone could want in a B&B: for first-time visitors to Gettysburg, the Inn provides a wealth of information, contacts, and fine recommendations; for those (like me) who have been coming to Gettysburg since the 1963 centennial and have stayed at most of the area hotels, it is simply the best place to stay in the area.

Great place for a weekend getaway

4,6 sur août 10, 2015

Wonderful room, the garden is a relaxing oasis on an otherwise bustling street in Gettysburg. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious! Would highly recommend staying there.
