"I took my girlfriend here for the weekend to propose. I had told Marlene in advance about my intentions and she made the whole weekend so memorable. She had a candlelit dinner with a 3-course meal waiting for us when we arrived that night, had flowers and chocolates in our room and flower petals on the bed. Candles illuminated the already gorgeous bathroom. Throughout our stay, Marlene treated us like family, we absolutely loved her. Plenty of privacy and intimacy if you desire. The house and property is gorgeous, overlooking the Marco River. There is a nice rowboat and bicycles for use, and it is 2 minutes away from the beach. Because of our wonderful stay we have decided to come back and hold our wedding reception there. Not only did we have a nice time, but we made a great friend in Marlene. Highly recommend this place to anyone. It's quaint, it's fancy, it's beautiful and it's sweet. "
