The breakfast was amazing. They were very accomodating and let us eat breakfast early so we could hit the road.

First time stay at a b&b

5 sur juin 03, 2016

This was our first time ever staying at a b&b and it was fantastic! It was so nice to stay somewhere personable and that had a lot of history behind it. It was a perfect weekend to be in Gettysburg (Memorial Day weekend). With having a food allergy it was really nice to have food that I could eat and not worry about what I could and couldn't eat. We stayed in Houghtelin's Hideaway and it was amazing, the bed was so comfortable, bathroom was unreal and we had patio access from our room. The staff did what they needed to meet your needs. The grounds are beautiful and there are really friendly farm cats. I would recommend this b&b to anyone and everyone!

Nice weekend getaway, great property

4,4 sur avril 29, 2016

My wife and I came up for a relaxing weekend. We showed up later on a Friday, but the staff actually stays onsite until 9, making check-in a non-issue. The house has an old section and a new addition. Some rooms in the older part have a fabulous exposed stone wall. There was a TV in the room, but it definitely detracts from the charm of the room ( can't be helped ). If the inn had been fully booked, we'd only have 2 neighbors, the different kinds of rooms were intriguing. I think we have our eye on the Tack Room for our next visit. Breakfast was nice, but I was a little upset with the lack of options. Plates were nicely prepared on an individual basis, and items were not cold, but I think a few family-style options would have been nice. 24 hour coffee and tea station was also great! The inn is tucked away down a small access road, it was very nice to not be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Gettysburg. 10-15 minute drive into town, made it still feel like a relaxing oasis. We'll definitely come back.

Battlefield B&B

The room was fantastic, the hospitality could have been a little more personal. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Home away from home

5 sur février 04, 2016

My husband and I have stayed at many B&B throughout Gettysburg and this by far is our favorite. We loved the historian that came to speak was wonderful. We also loved visiting with the horses and all of the cats. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast delicious!

Anniversary Weekend

4,6 sur février 03, 2016

We had a wonderful time, rooms were exceptional and clean. The staff was very friendly. If there was anything I would change, it would be more of a variety of breakfast .

An idyllic stay

5 sur janvier 14, 2016

My husband and I decided to get away for one night and booked a room at the Battlefield Inn B & B. I'm so glad we chose that one! The proprietor and staff were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the activities and history of the area. Our room, Graham's Artillery, was warm, cozy and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud yet not too soft. Our room was the original parlor of a 1809 farmhouse and included a working gas fireplace. Before eating a hearty and delicious breakfast, we were able to sit in on a talk from a local historian about the lives of civil war soldiers as an added bonus. We can't say enough positive things about our stay here but just know that we are already planning another visit (this time with friends) this coming spring. We definitely recommend the Battlefield Inn; it was all we could ask for in a B & B!! Pat and Glenn

Christmas weekend stay

5 sur janvier 11, 2016

We picked this place because they allow dogs and because it sounded great on the website but it turned out to be even better. The owners were very friendly, and accommodating for all the guests by cooking Christmas Day dinner which was above and beyond what anyone could expect. They also offered a music event and dinner the next evening which was really fun. We loved our brief visit and hope to go back soon.

Christmas is a particularly special time of the year to be visiting us here at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. I do hope that you consider coming again before next winter, for instance we do specialty breakfasts on Easter which many of our guests love to come for. Warm regards.
