My husband and I decided to get away for one night and booked a room at the Battlefield Inn B & B. I'm so glad we chose that one! The proprietor and staff were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the activities and history of the area. Our room, Graham's Artillery, was warm, cozy and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud yet not too soft. Our room was the original parlor of a 1809 farmhouse and included a working gas fireplace. Before eating a hearty and delicious breakfast, we were able to sit in on a talk from a local historian about the lives of civil war soldiers as an added bonus. We can't say enough positive things about our stay here but just know that we are already planning another visit (this time with friends) this coming spring. We definitely recommend the Battlefield Inn; it was all we could ask for in a B & B!! Pat and Glenn

Can't wait to go again

We picked this place because they allow dogs and because it sounded great on the website but it turned out to be even better. The owners were very friendly, and accommodating for all the guests by cooking Christmas Day dinner which was above and beyond what anyone could expect. They also offered a music event and dinner the next evening which was really fun. We loved our brief visit and hope to go back soon.

My husband, son, and I recently stayed in the cottage at the Battlefield B&B. It was our second visit, the first being four years ago when we stayed in the Texas 1st Infantry Room. We really like the place. The proprietors are sincerely friendly and accommodating, plus there are always interesting and friendly guests, folks from other parts of the country with an interest in the civil war so there are always lively discussions. This year we spent Christmas eve and Christmas at the Battlefield B&B. Because the proprietors have such a natural way with people it felt like coming home. Florence played Christmas songs on an old organ and had a spread that included an array of treats sweet and savory, and fresh hot wassail. Local friends stopped by for a chat by the fire and truly all felt well in the universe (no small feat!). Everything was clean and comfortable. Food allergies were easily accommodated. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing experience. I definitely plan on returning.

Very nice room. The owners and staff were always eager to help. We attended their Thanksgiving dinner, elegant table setting, wonderful appetizers and a nicely catered meal.

I had a most relaxed and re-energizing time during my stay at the Battlefield B&B. The staff was gracious, as usual, and the hosts were warm & welcoming. Considering I travel with a Golden Retriever, I am quite impressed with the pet-friendly atmosphere. The history program was informative and provocative, stimulating further reading and interaction.
