Loved the area and the view from the balcony where we were able to eat breakfast. Room did not have a view of the valley, unfortunately. Food was good. Compared to other B&B's we have stayed in, I didn't find the hospitality above and beyond what I have experienced in the past. Well kept. Would consider staying there again.

This was out first time in Oregon and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The hillside location allowed for beautiful views while we ate breakfast outside and from our bedroom. Comfy beds and great food. Great location for visiting wineries and not too far from the Portland airport and downtown.

We stayed in the High Desert suite at the Chehalem Ridge B&B for a long weekend in August. The room was absolutely perfect, with a comfortable bed, a private deck and an outstanding view of the valley below. The property is extremely well kept and clean. Kristin is a wonderful hostess and an outstanding cook. She works with all local or homegrown produce. Our first breakfast included fresh melon, zucchini muffins and a tort made with freshly picked berries. The second day feature fresh baked scones and a salmon quiche. In addition, fresh baked cookies are always available in the common area. Kristin gladly accommodates gluten free and other restricted diets. Local maps and suggestions for hiking trails are available at Chehalem Ridge, as are backpacks and cooler packs for borrowing. Kristin also provided great suggestions for local wineries to visit and a local produce stand. We were truly sorry to leave. If you are going to be in the Newberg area of Oregon check out Chehalem Ridge B&B. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The view from our room, The Wine Country Room, was breathtaking...so much so that we cancelled our dinner reservations and bought food at a local deli and ate on our balcony, with a bottle of wine, of course. Kristin's breakfasts were fabulous and we met some very nice people.

We stayed in the High Sierra room, it was the most spacious, yet cozy, luxurious B&B we have ever stayed in! The views were breath taking, the breakfast - one of the best we've ever had, and a perfect location in the middle of wine country. Kristen was a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. We definitely want to come back and spend more time in the area and and this B&B - highly recommend it!

Beautiful B&B, lovely décor and furnishings, a spectacular view of the countryside and vineyards. No detail was overlooked by Kristin, down to sunglasses and sunscreen on the breakfast table on the deck. Delicious gourmet breakfast.

We stayed at the Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast as we were heading back to Seattle. It was extremely comfortable with several areas outside of our room to sit and read and enjoy the remarkable view! Our host was helpful, providing restaurant and wine tour recommendations. She also prepared the most delicious breakfasts! We hope to return.

My wife and I just got back from our Oregon vacation, including three nights' stay at Chehalem Ridge B&B. What a spectacular location! Our room was charming and spotless, the bathroom luxurious (even included body wash and shampoo for those who like to pack light), and the bed was fantastically comfortable. Our hostess, Kristin, was very helpful and accommodating, including the way she anticipates guests' desires with homemade jams, wine chillers and bottles of water in the fridge and backpacks available for use. Every breakfast was delicious. Even the other guests were friendly! I don't know why I would stay anywhere else for a trip like this.

Our stay was at Chehalem Ridge was great! Everything exceeded expectations, from the Comphy sheets to the tasty gourmet breakfast. We stayed in the Rose Garden room because I like to be on the top floor due to the noise that comes from above. The views were gorgeous from our balcony. The bathroom was quite spacious and extremely clean. The bed is lower to the floor, which wasn't a problem for us but it could be for someone that may need a higher bed. The main living area has small refrigerator and wet bar for all you wine drinking and small dining needs. We went to a deli and bought cheese, meat, and bread and had our own little feast on the balcony with other guests we met on our stay. Kristin makes the best gourmet breakfast to start your day! You will not go hungry! The area has a lot to offer in wine tasting. If you are looking for something else to do, just a couple of hours in the car can get you to Mt hood and Columbia River Gorge. We did some great hiking on two day trips we took to theses areas. Left after our 8:00 breakfast and could be back by 3:00 for some tastings.

My wife and I were here before, had a spectacular time, and made a point of returning for another long romantic weekend -- and this B&B continues to be great! The location and accommodations are fantastic, the breakfast is as good as it gets, and the Kristin is very savvy, keeps up to date, and shares freely her knowledge and opinions about great places to visit and eat. All that, plus lovely amenities and easy accessibility to world class wine (eg, Argyle; De Ponte) and dine (eg, Painted Lady). Very highly recommended.

My wife and I go to Oregon frequently throughout the year and we always make sure that we stay with Kristin and Kurt when we're in the Willamette Valley. The views from the B&B are breathtaking, the rooms are quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The various decks, common sitting room and overall ambiance of the B&B makes for a great escape. Then there’s the lady of the house, Kristin. She’s the best. When you arrive you’re welcomed with a smile, freshly baked cookies and everything you could need for your stay. There are maps of the area. Kristin has thought of many of the various accoutrements you might need for a trip out into the valley, i.e. backpacks with picnic supplies, water, sunglasses, etc. Both Kristin and her husband, Kurt are very knowledgeable about the area, restaurants, wineries, events and just about anything that your heart desires. And then there are the breakfasts…Fantastic! Kristin is amazing in the kitchen. The breakfasts come in two courses and are always accompanied by plenty of coffee, tea, juice and homemade jams/jellies. Kristin does a fabulous job of sourcing her ingredients from her own garden on the property and from the Pacific Northwest. There is never a lack of lively conversation or laughter. My wife and I couldn't recommend this B&B more. If you’re planning a trip to the Willamette Valley, a stay at the Chehalem Ridge B&B is a must.

We were here for our 10th Anniversary and had such a wonderful, relaxing time! The view is spectacular and the food was divine. Brought one of our bottles of wine back and sat on the balcony and watched the sun set. It was so wonderful! We were in the only room without a private balcony, but we didn't miss it at all since there was a common one for our use. We'd definitely go back - maybe with a group of couples!

The location was perfect. We had a sweeping view of wine country. The room was great. Loved the IR lamp on the balcony. Would have been nice to have a small table in there to put items on instead of crowding up the bedside stands or puttimg things on the floor. Food was very good but the quantity was so little. You shoulf offer extra fruit, yogurt muffins etc for us hungrier folks. Also Kristen seemed so uninterested in hosting. Maybe something had just happened to her but she seemed clinically depressed. Good stay overall. I would definitely come back.

What a gorgeous spot for a night (or two or three) in Oregon's wine country. Overlooking the valley below, visitors get an unspoiled view of one of the most beautiful parts of the state. Luckily each, if not most, rooms have a private terrace on which to enjoy the scenery any time. The owners are thoughtful--having heat lamps on each balcony, loads of resources on local attractions and happily meeting any dietary restrictions for breakfast. Freshly baked cookies and access to picnic containers are other ways in which the owners have exercised thought and a personal touch. While the room we stayed in was not huge, it's comfortable and well appointed. The food was good and I appreciated the two breakfast seatings--8:00 and 9:00. Overall, I'd recommend Chehalem Ridge to others who want to spend a weekend away in one Oregon's treasured parts of the state.

We stayed in the High Desert room for 2 nights on a recent visit to Oregon wine country. The room was elegant with very nice touches at the B&B overall-free cold water whenever, dishes and silverware and a mini fridge for white wine storage in the common living room for in room/on balcony alfresco eating, great advice on wineries to visit. Great place and great experience.

Chehalem Ridge B&B has the most magnificent location overlooking the beautiful Willamette Valley. We stayed 3 nights and were treated to the most outstanding gourmet breakfast served on the patio each morning. The house is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and run very efficiently. We had access to a refrigerator and there were home baked cookies to snack on. .Kristin, the host, provided information about the area, even having local restaurant menus available. The area is gorgeous with lots to do and see. Highly recommend this B&B and also the area as a must to visit!

We stayed in the Desert Suite and it was even better than we could have imagined. With panoramic views of the valley from the comfort of bed or out on the deck, this place really is a perfect place to stay when visiting the Willamette Valley. If there weren't so many wineries to visit, we could have easily spent all day in our room enjoying the luxurious amenities. Jacuzzi tub, heated tile floors in the bathroom, bedside fireplace, huge comfortable bed...Don't even get us started on the amazing breakfasts that Kristin creatively imagined up for us and that Curt so expertly served. These were the best breakfasts of any place we ate on our entire time in Oregon. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel right at home. Kristin greeted us with a map of the area and a handful of suggestions of wineries to visit while our room was being prepared. And that level of hospitality was apparent throughout our stay. If you're planning a trip to the Willamette Valley, this is the place to stay.

Thanks for taking time to review your stay with us. As we live and breathe hospitality, our goal is to meet our guests' expectations. It really, really bums me out when we don't. I can only guess which room you may stayed in, but rest assured, all our showers work great. If there was a momentary problem or difficulty understanding our shower, we would have loved to help so that you could enjoy your time with us. As for breakfast, most guests remark how they don't need lunch after our breakfasts of fresh baked goods, a local fruit dish and an entrée. I do so wish that when I asked if there was anything else I could get anybody, you would have spoken up. I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations and would have really loved to hear about these issues while you were here to have the chance to fix them and make your vacation the best.

I can not say enough about Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast. I am telling all my family and friends that they need to stay here. First, the view is spectacular and the tranquility is wonderful. It is perfectly located, so close to Portland and Willamette Valley wineries. The house is gorgeous. Kristin, the Innkeeper, has thought of every detail to make her guests feel pampered and comfortable. The rooms are creatively decorated, the beds are comfy, and the common areas are inviting. And the best part of all is the breakfast; delicious, gourmet, made from scratch with local ingredients, and different every morning. I would live here if I could afford it! But staying here for a few nights will not break the bank.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at this lovely place in the wine country. Conveniently located just outside of Newburg, but remote enough to feel like you are really getting away from it all. Adored our private deck overlooking the lush valley. Every detail was carefully considered and things were extremely clean. Breakfast was a delicious treat with lots of homemade touches. Will definitely be back.

Can't say enough good things about Chehalem Ridge B&B. The view is amazing. The food was delishious. The bed was very comfortable. The whole place was very clean and inviting. My favorite thing was that they put heaters on the deck. It was a little chilly the night we were there but we were able to still sit out on the deck and enjoy some wine and cheese. We stayed in the Oregon Trail room. Had a nice jacuzzi tub. We stayed in 3 different B&Bs in Oregon and this one was my favorite.

My wife and I had traveled to Newberg 2 years ago and decided to go back while in Portland for her birthday. I came across Chahalem Tidge and was very pleased with our stay. Kristen was able to give a good recommendation for a car service for a day of wine tasting prior to our arrival. The inn is a peaceful and stunning property. The view is amazing not just from the deck but from all over the house. Breakfast was excellent and the room had generous space. My wife really wants to buy the sheets from our room! Great time and we would definitely stay again on next trip. BTW, if you are going then I suggest this time of year (early june)and I almost forgot to mention all the wineries in and around Newberg. Like I said this was our second trip and the wineries are everywhere. The wine is very surprising in a great way. This coming from someone who frequents the Napa/Anderson/Sonoma and Alexander wine country areas. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy chardonnay and pinot. and there were zero crowds on a Sunday.

We enjoyed our first stay at Chehalem Ridge B&B. Good welcome, fine room, amazing views of the valley from our balcony. The breakfasts were really fine, a fruit course, a bread course, and a main course, different every day. Friendly hosts, enjoyable conversations with other guests about fave wine-tasting choices. Bring your GPS and you will have no problem finding it. Without GPS, not so easy.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for us. We are happy that you had a great time staying with us and enjoyed our breakfasts. I would like to let folks know that we do send directions out with our confirmation, and they are on our website as well. We stayed in the Oregon Coast room. At first I was like, do I want a room that looks like the beach when I'm staying in the hills? Really though it was the private patio, view from the windows and fireplace that drew me. Wraparound windows allow an amazing view from that room, and the little patio with table and chairs got some use as soon as we got there with our first bottle of Pinot Noir with some cheese and salami. Good thing too because later in the weekend we instead curled up inside with the fireplace as a rain and windstorm came through. Note that the fireplace wasn't working at first and the innkeeper got it going again fast. The bed is comfortable, the pillows also, and the bathroom is really nice with sea foams and blues - reminiscent of the ocean of course but also calm relaxing colors. There was tons of information available - road maps, running/hiking trail maps, winery maps, restaurant recommendations, etc. Ask the innkeepers for winery and restaurant recommendations - they know the good ones! So this leads me to breakfast. There is nothing better than chefs and innkeepers who cook with the seasons and use the local produce. In this case it was asparagus and rhubarb incorporated into the food. Breakfast was two courses, a ginger rhubarb crumble on one day and a kiwi hazelnut parfait on the other, followed by an egg dish one day and baked French toast the other. Plenty of decent coffee was available along with tea and juice. There was always water in the refrigerator and yummy cookies to snack on anytime. Breakfast also included homemade jams, some flavors I had never seen before, along with a liberal sprinkling of winery and restaurant advice and conversation with the innkeepers and other guests. We really enjoyed the stay there!

I am often in OR on business and whenever possible I stay a night at the Chehalem Ridge B&B. The atmosphere is so nice that it really doesn't feel like a work trip. Each time I stay in a different one of their themed rooms. On this, my third visit, I may have found my favorite...the Wine Country room. With a 2 person jetted bath tub and the most comfortable robe I've ever worn, I felt very relaxed. And breakfast is always something I look forward to as Innkeeper, Kristin, is quite the chef. The others that stay are most often on vacation, tourning the wineries and restaurants of the Newberg area. I have always met the nicest and most interesting people during my stays. All this to say I recommend this charming B&B highly and am planning a vacation there myself.

Chehalem Ridge had everything we look for in a B & B. As residents of Seattle, we make a point of traveling to a nearby destination each year for my birthday (the gift of experiences), in this case the Willamette wine region and to the McMinnville air & space museum. The location of this B & B was ideal for visits to both. On a Fall Saturday, we had time to explore both the museum and visit three wineries (we visited two wineries on the previous day). The museum and wineries were exceptional. Kristin and Curt are great hosts. Kristin's coconut macaroon cookies are delicious and her breakfasts included local ingredients such as local eggs, vegetables, etc. The scones with home made pinot grape jelly were very good. Kristin is a fine chef and Curt is a friendly and knowledgeable guide. A feature of B & B's is sharing breakfast with other travelers. We met some of the nicest folks during our stay -- I think this was the most memorable part of our stay. Having just said that, the accommodations are first class and the view of the surrounding valley is second to none. I look forward to visiting again.

We stayed in the High Desert Suite which is fabulous - a wall of windows facing out over the valley, fireplace, sumptuous bed, fabulous jetted two-person tub, covered deck with radiant heater for cool mornings/evenings. Almost everything we thought we might need was present. The breakfast was delicious. Kristin is a no-nonsense host (not your "let's sit and visit" sort of host), but provides whatever you need. Don't miss staying here.

My wife and I took a trip up to Oregon and wanted to stay at the perfect place. We found it in Chehalem Ridge B&B. It was clean, it was friendly, it had the most beautiful morning sunrise I'd ever seen from a balcony. Kristin was very accommodating, as my wife has a gluten intolerance, so she took every precaution in preparing a gluten free meal for her. Gluten free or not, breakfasts were outstanding. Kristin and her husband were very friendly in helping us along our daily journey, giving us advice on where to go based on our interests and pointing us towards to the best wineries in the area. All in all, a great place to go, run by friendly knowledgeable individuals. I hope to be back!

Pros: The decor was classy, without being over the top "girly." The breakfast was world class. The beds were a very comfortable memory foam. The location was quiet and secluded, but not too far from lively McMinneville. Cons: A bit pricey for little more than a room with few extra amenities. The old-timey clawfoot bathtub, which was lovely to look at, was a huge disappointment, taking 25 minutes to fill 10 inches of barely hot water, with the overflow valve positioned so low on the tub that the water drains before it ever covers your navel.

My husband and I had a lovely time at this B&B with expansive views of the valley. The rooms were charming (and very clean) and the breakfasts were fantastic (especially the french toast rolls filled with figs and brie). A great place to stay if you are looking to visit the area.

My wife and I stayed at the Chehalem Ridge Bed and Breakfast for a quick getaway and couldn't have had a better experience. Amazing views, very clean and the owners think of everything - and prepare a garden to table breakfast as well. We highly recommend it. -Matthew J. and Laura O'Neill

Chehalem Ridge was a great find. An absolutely incredible view, well appointed rooms and fantastic food. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!

My wife and I had a truly wonderful time here. The highlights were definitely the view from the Rose Garden room and Kristin's amazing breakfasts. I personally loved the remoteness of the location but yet the immediacy to which you could get to things. This B&B is for people who like country charm. You can hear others but there aren't any TVs in the room and people tend to sleep around the same times so it wasn't an issue. We would stay there again.
5 sur août 26, 2013
Our stay at Chehalem bed and breakfast was great! The room was nice and clean, as was the grounds. The breakfast was delicious and fresh! Awesome location, close to plenty of wineries.

We have never had less than a pleasant stay at the Chehalem Ridge B&B. The view is exceptional, the ambiance is relaxing, and the breakfast is always special.
4,6 sur août 21, 2013
The view is even more beautiful than their advertisement. Coffee was ready at 6am, and there were 2 seating choices for breakfast. Homemade jams from fruits from the owner's garden made it extra special. We stayed two nights and both meals were superb. The egg dish with fresh squash was so flavorful, I was impressed. Although a bit small, the bedroom was nicely decorated and the bed was super comfy. Loved the large shower in the bathroom.

The gorgeous view over the entire valley from our balcony and huge windows was breathtaking. The room was beautifully furnished, and clean in every respect. Breakfast was very nicely served ... multi-course gourmet.

We had a wonderful stay in the Oregon Trail room. Everything was clean, quiet, and inviting. The room was very charming. Our favorite part was breakfast! Every morning, there was something delicious and all the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The view is breath taking. We will definitely be back!

This was a return visit for my wife and I. Kristin was an exceptional hostess as always. Breakfast on the deck was a great way to start both mornings. The gluten free coffee cake was out of this world. Wish we could have had a second one! Great dining and winery recommendations as well. We are already working on a return trip.

Quiet location, stunningly gorgeous views looking down on the valley, and charming rooms, each with its own personality, are just a few of the reasons to pick this property if you're in Willamette Valley wine country. We are two couples in 40's to 50's who started our mornings viewing the sun rising over the ridge from the left side of the main floor deck. Breakfast was unique each day, using many organic and locally sourced ingredients. We were big fans of the hazelnut belgian waffles with blueberry compote, not to mention the fresh baked breads and muffins, along with edible flowers each day. Kristin was a very accommodating innkeeper, and was careful to ask about food preferences and allergies. They really think of everything here. Custom laminated maps of the local areas that you can draw on, and how to get to nearby places; restaurant menus, a mini wine bar with microwave, mini-fridge, glassware, and utensils; wine bottle coolers and picnic backpacks to borrow which included plates and wine glasses; binoculars for viewing the valley; even a basket full of sunscreen and sunglasses for the sunny mornings on the deck; clean, comfortable, contemporary rooms; infrared heaters for the balconies and decks. This place is an absolute can't miss, we would definitely go back. BB and MO from Atlanta.

Facilities: Location is an excellent base for exploring the wine country. We stayed in the Rose Garden room because we wanted a walk in shower. Room was clean with a lovely balcony. View from this room and all rooms facing the valley are extraordinary. The bath amenities were first rate. Cons: only 1 small chair in the room making it difficult for both os us to sit and visit inside esp in the evening when it was often too windy to sit on the balcony. Due to eaves, bed was lowered; box spring and mattress were on the floor so the bed was uncomfortably low. Likewise closet is under the eaves, not full height and requiring bending. Felt a bit like being a giant in pixie room and we are short. Shower was fine for us, but taller people might find it too low. Innkeeper and food: Kristin is encyclopedic about the area and the world in general. Amazingly well organized. Provides superb recommendations and information. She is proactive in anticipating needs and for special requests, with a bit of notice will provide written information (in addition to laminated information cards already available). She and Curt are very accommodating and thoughtful. I cannot say enough to convey how special Kristin is and how much she added to our stay. She makes wonderful, hearty breakfasts (very helpful for visiting wineries in the morning) and works hard to vary them daily. She keeps the guest fridge stocked with cold water, has a full cookie jar (homemade) for guests, and insulated bags available to use for picnics. Whatever inconvenience the eaves posed in the bedroom, Kristen more than compensated for that. I would go back to Chehalem Ridge for a stay in a heartbeat.

Our room was absolutely wonderful, both the view and in comfort. We scheduled a hot air balloon ride at 5:15AM in the morning and the owner got up and took pictures of us in the air. What wonderful hosts!!

Let me start by stating we were NOT B&B people, after our expereince all I can say is wow! Chehalem Ridge B&B is outstanding. Every detail was well thought out. From check-in to check-out was superb! At check-in we needed to cool down some wine to take to dinner we had shipped, a nice little fridge with a frozen sleeve to place around it was provided. Kristen was such a gracious hostess. We stayed in the High Desert which has a king bed.The beds are better than the advertised hotels known for their bedding, and the linens are UNBELIEVABLE, which you can purchase/order onsight. Breakfast was wonderful starting off with a yogurt parfay with a great granola, and a blueberry claffouti with bacon out on the deck over looking the Willamette Valley. It was nice to have the Hostess be polite and professional and ask one of the guests at breakfast to please put the cell phone away, or excuse stayed in the High Desert which has a king bed.. Kristen knew the valley's wineries and restaurants, had lovely maps, she provided great directions. Every detail was thought out down to the code on the front door! we will be back.

A fabulous overlook of Newberg and Williamette Valley. In Chehalem Ridge district this BB is well positioned to host a weekend visit to the vineyards. A new home offered pleasant and nicely finished rooms. The breakfast is delicious though not mountains of food. Enjoy.

Wish we could have stayed longer. If in the area again, we would defintely stay here! Kristin has a great sense of humor even though I didnt do what she asks everyone to do in advance of their stay. We have a Garmin and it took us on a gravel road, added about 15 minutes to our journey..not ideal. If I would have followed her directions, we would have saved some time and dust. I also have food allergies and she specifically asked in advance to let her know. I didn't. She takes breakfast very seriously...this isnt a croissant and jam type meal. She goes all out and is extremely creative. I threw her a curve...I wouldnt advocate it, but she made it happen. Rightfully, she gave me some grief...but what a great breakfast to start the day. Our Oregon Trail room was quiet and very clean...Every room has a private bath. Every room was occupied when we stayed in mid July.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for just one night, but we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The site of the B&B is right on the top of the ridge with an amazing view over the whole valley. Great decks for hanging out and eating. Kristin took care of our dietary restrictions (gluten free) very well, even providing some delicious gf cookies in our room upon arrival. Great service.

The gorgeous views from this B&B are unbelievable. I'll never forget sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee watching the hot air balloons drifting over the valley. Exceeded only by the gourmet breakfast prepared by Kristin. The attentive care from our hosts made this a very special stay.

Our recent stay at Chehalem Ridge Bed and Breakfast exceeded expectations and was a delightful experience. The Wine Room was incredible. Softest sheets I have ever slept on. The bathroom was large and very nicely decorated. Huge tub!! The breakfast each morning was divine and the view from the porch was simply gorgeous. The only criticism I could possibly give was that there was nothing other than water to drink at night. I might suggest to the owners that they stock a few soft drinks or sparkling water in their fridge.

We were blown away by this place. The views are even more breath taking than the pictures. The food is outstanding. We really enjoyed overlooking the valley and Newberg from our bedroom balcony everynight. We are telling all our friends they need to go to Oregon and stay here..

We cannot say enough great things about this B&B, and we'll definitely be back some day!

The views were great. The service was more like an inn than a B&B. The breakfasts were always prepared to exacting specifications and were comprehensive and interesting. The house is large, new and very comfortable. On our first night we simply stayed in and ate the light snacks we brought along with our wine on the large deck, Can't ask for more, but wait, the house is located near a number of vineyards and we visited one of those and had a great time as well. All and all a very comfortable and relaxing time.

They let us check in late and once we arrived, our balcony lead out onto views of the city lights and stars. In the morning, we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and quiet surroundings. The breakfast and service as also phenominal! I couldn't be more happy with this B&B and hope to stay there for our 1st anniversary too :)

I stayed here as a surprise for my girlfriend. The pictures on the website do little justice to breathtaking scenery on top of the ridge. Our Rose Garden suite overlooked the valley, which seemed to stretch out for an eternity. Our innkeeper was very cordial and welcoming, she made us feel right at home. Breakfast in the morning was delect able and satisfying. It was freshly made, using ingredients that were locally sourced. Overall, this is a place I would highly recommend, and I will be sure to return.

We wanted to come to the Oregon wine country to celebrate my husband's retirement. The view from Chehalem Ridge was the first nice surprise. Sitting high above the valley, there is a spectacular view clear to the coastal mountains. Our room was beautifully detailed with nautical accents and beach glass tiles in the bath. The deck was the perfect place for our afternoon wine or to sit and watch the stars at night. Kristin is the perfect host and a marvelous cook, serving homemade jams, cheddar-walnut encrusted quiche, and tasty scones. She was a wealth of information about where to eat in the area as well as to giving guidance for winery visits. It was a wonderful visit-- one we would definitely recommend to others.

We chose this B&B because it was near a Halloween Party we were going to. Thought we'd make it a wine tasting weekend as well. Chehalem Ridge B&B is right in the heart of Oregon Wine Country overlooking the town of Newberg. Although we couldn't see it because of the heavy fog that night..... Made for an excellent " Scary Halloween" experience. The inn Keepers Kristin & Curt were great. They made time to talk with us, had lots of info on the area and suggested some great wineries to visit. The breakfast was great. Kristin asked if we had any foods we didn't like.... I don't like eggs, so they made a separate plate with Tofu instead of eggs. It was excellent and they also used local organic ingredients. We definitely plan on going back! T

We throughly enjoyed our stay at The Chehalem Ridge B & B. I require a glutin free diet and was treated to delicious treats at breakfast. We were also celebrating my birthday. The personal and thoughtful attention we received exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I took our first trip to Oregon to enjoy a vacation of wine tasting. We chose Chehalem B&B because of the spectacular location and the "non-hotel" atmosphere. The B&B exceeded our expectations on mulitple levels: amazing views, wonderfully prepared breakfasts, well appointed rooms and a knowledgable and friendly innkeeper. Overall a wonderful experience and I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B for someone who wishes to relax and enjoy the beautiful Oregon wine country. Niki Fafoutis/Steve Cesareo

We had a fantastic time at the Chehalem Ridge B&B. Kristen made us feel very welcome, made great breakfasts and provided very good suggestions for places to dine and visit. The post card of the B&B does not do justice to the fantastic view form the Wine Country room! We will return as soon as we take our son back to college next year.

My husband and I don't have many opportunities to stay at B&Bs, but when we have the chance, we love to. That being said, you never know what you're going to get - you just know if it's not exactly perfect, it's bound to be an interesting experience. Well, staying at this spot was excellent. Kristen was a great host - very knowledgeable about the area, an excellent chef showcasing very delicious, fresh, local (very local! fresh from the garden) ingredients, and very helpful when requested things to see/do and places to dine. In addition, our room was outstanding - the view of the valley was amazing, the backporch with a heater is genius! And you can't beat the in-room jacuzzi tub. Overall, incredible!

We enjoyed our one night here. The view from the deck was amazing. We sipped wine and ate dinner out here and watched the sun set. There were even binoculars for us to use. The room was also perfect and had everything we needed. The b&b had anything we would need and it felt like we were at home. The breakfast was very nice as well. Sipping coffee before on the deck. If you wake up early you may even see the hot air balloons take off on a Saturday. Perfect stay and great finishing touch on our Oregon vacation.

From the moment I set foot on the property, I felt the daily stress of life melt away. My room was perfect, with the most amazing view (even at night), and the next morning an incredible and delicious meal was served on the deck while I soaked in the sun and the million dollar view once again. Beautiful inside and out, with privacy and quiet like I haven't experienced in ages! The staff was attentive and very kind as well.

I look forward to returning for another visit.

We chose Chehalem Ridge based on the photos on their website. They were beautiful but did not do the B&B or views justice. The hair on the back of my head stood up when I looked over the charming city of Newberg and vineyards from the balcony of the Wine Country Room. The morning meals were spectacular. Kristen added a very personal touch to breakfast by serving homade jams and jellies. Her jelly made from Queen Anne's Lace was unique and tasty. The plates were adorned with edible flowers. Stay here if you enjoy being treated special.

We only stayed one night at the Chehalem Ridge B&B, we were just down from Portland for some wine-tasting, but it was a great night! Our room was spotless, maybe a bit on the small side, but the big windows and the deck with the VIEW more than made up for it. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom generous. The breakfast was excellent, very fresh and healthy yet delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful without being at all in the way. We definitely plan to go back.

This B&B is lovely with great views of the valley. Kristin's breakfasts are delicious, with great variety but not pretentious. Both Kristin and Jennifer were great resources on wineries, restaurants, things to do, and travel directions. The winery complimentary cards saved us a lot on tasting fees. The rooms are small but comfortable, cozy, and clean. We would definitely return for another visit!
4,2 sur août 04, 2012
We looked for other B&Bs in this area and this one was a much better price. The pictures of the place made it look like a bargain and it was! We actually stayed in the one room without a balcony and did not find that a loss as there is a public balcony off the living room that we had all to ourselves with an amazing view of the valley below. Breakfast was very good and Kristin (the host, owner and cook) did a greta job explaining everything and how the ingrdients came from their garden. Only downside was we had first b-fast (8:00) and we had to get up so Kristin could make room for the next serving at 9:00. Only a minor detail but we were really enjoying our conversation with our table mates. This B&B is an outstanding value. So many others are over priced and you don't get as much as this place!

We came back to stay with Kristin for our 3-year anniversary and were just as impressed with this stay as we have been in the past. The rooms are still in great shape and have wonderful views of the town below. Kristin is a wonderful cook and Kurt was a great host during breakfast, sharing details on the meal, providing tips and suggestions for the guests daily adventures and providing a few good jokes as well! We can't wait to come back again!

We cannot say enough great things about the Chehalem Ridge B&B. The views are simply stunning, and Kristin's breakfasts are amazing. The rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable, and spacious -- and have separate, private balconies. Ours was on the upper level overlooking the valley below -- we really enjoyed opening a bottle of wine that we had purchased earlier in the day and soaking in the views at night. Kristin also put us in touch with a great wine guide who took us to several great winieries in the Wilammette Valley. We rarely give reviews -- only when an exceptional place is deserving. Chehalem Ridge B&B is definitely in that category -- we will certainly be back.
4,8 sur juillet 13, 2012
My wife and I stayed at the B&B in the Oregon Trail room for three nights. The owner/host Kristen made fantastic breakfasts each morning and introduced us to dishes I would normally venture to try but found them delicious. Both Kristen & Jennifer were extremely helpful in helping us plan our winery tours. The photos of the views you get from websites don't do the actual experience justice. And the B&B is located in a nice central spot close to town and a few dozen wineries. Many people have commented in the past that the noise from other guests is a negative, but we never experienced this ourselves. If someone happened to be talking outside the door - sure you hear it, but in what hotel or B&B wouldn't you? Also, just in case you are an ultra-light sleeper - they provide earplugs. We never needed them. The next time we are in Oregon, we will definitely stay there again. Mike & Maryann (the Canadians)

We stayed in the Wine Country Room and loved it. Small but cozy - the angled ceiling gives it character. Great view from the private balcony. Perfect place to relax at the end of the day with a nice glass of Pinot Noir. The jetted tub for two - with candles - added to our romantic evening. Wonderful hospitality.
4,8 sur juillet 04, 2012
This was a lovely B&B overlooking the valley with spectacular views. It is incredibly quiet and serene with large porches for guests to sit on. I particularly enjoyed that this was one of the smaller B&B's with only 3 or 4 guest rooms, making it more romantic and peaceful. The meal in the morning was wonderful, cooked by one of the owners with culinary training, and she is very attentive to any dietary needs or requests. Would definitely stay here again!

I picked this B & B primarily for the view and then it was rainy and fogged in. The innkeeper was gracious when I asked if we could sit on the front deck after we checked out (after our one night) so we could appreciate the view once the fog lifted. The innkeeper was also very helpful and nice with her responses to my e-mails about breakfast likes and dislikes and about recommended restaurants. All the people were very nice and the inn was good. I think it was overpriced tho for what you got in the room itself. We stayed in the wine country room. The room was very bare - a bed (comfortable), a wooden folding chair, two very small night stands and two luggage racks. A short closet. But there was no place in the room to set anything down or to sit.comfortably. Maybe I would have viewed things a little differently if we had been able to sit on the private patio (small, with metal chairs & table). The bathroom with the jetted tub was lovely with all the marble but there was no way to have the fan on without a bright light on also so the bathroom got steam bath like. The robes were really soft and comfy. We did avail ourselves of the two common areas which were comfortable and nicely done, but I think overall the $180 we paid was a little high for what we got. The breakfast was good but I was not as special as I thought it would be after reading the other reviews. I'm from the Willamette Valley so I know that the weather is often rainy and foggy. I was hoping that the end of June would be OK, but I'd suggest if you really want the view - shoot for late July or August. And since there are so many rainy, non-view days, in this part of Oregon, it would be nice to have a little more comfort in the rooms themselves.

Everything was so perfect. The room was spectacular and the food was amazing! I loved the atmosphere of the whole B&B. It was the perfect place to stay for the first night of our honeymoon!!!

My husband and I went here for our ten year anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. The hosts were extremely friendly, the rooms were nice and the food was amazing. The only downside is that the room's were close together and you are able to hear other guests talking or moving around. Other than that-it exceeded our expectations and we definitely plan to return.

We had an enjoyable time at Chehalem. It was centrally located to many great wineries. The inn keepers were extremely helpful in responding to questions and giving advice, but not leading us on only to their preferences. The views are spectacular and sorry we could not stay longer and enjoy the ambience of the deck. Would definitely stay here again if we get back to Oregon.

This place is great. We came back a second time because we liked it so much. The food is fantastic and the view is unbeatable. It's a great home base for endless wine tasting in Newberg, Dundee and McMinnville. Plenty of nice restaurants to eat at in the area. You'll love your stay here!

The views are stunning, pictures can not do it justice. The staff is very nice, there when you need them, gone when you don't. And the best part is the breakfast. Everything was delicious, fresh and homemade. The chai scones with homemade local ingredients jelly and the lemon ricotta pancakes were amazing. The weather was nice so we sat on the patio to eat. I already want to go back. Don't miss this gem.

My husband and I stayed in the Rose Garden Room last week. First off, we are from Kansas City, so when I stepped out of the car and saw the view, I started to cry. It was breathtaking. Second, we realize we are hearing jazz coming from the house, with the sounds of the waterfall outside, and saw all the amazing flowers. We were the only ones there, and explored the gorgeous house and our room. She had homemade lemon sugar cookies downstairs, as well as wine glasses to use and a fridge to put our wine in. No detail was overlooked. The porch outside our room was perfect for an al fresco dinner and wine. Breakfast was beyond delicious. Melon, rhubarb strawberry pecan muffins, and lemon ricotta pancakes. I cannot recommend this B&B enough. Honestly? All b&b's I will stay in will be held to the standard set by Chehalem Ridge.

As newlyweds, we had a wonderful stay here! The room was beautiful and nicely decorated (we had the wine country room), and the 2 person air jetted bath tub was huge and relaxing. The grounds were well landscaped, and the views of the valley were breathtaking! The breakfast was so delicious and presentable. And the innkeepers were so friendly and accommodating, especially for me with food intolerances. Everything was amazing, and we wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

My wife and I could not have enjoyed our stay more. Our room, the Wine Country Room, was extremely romantic and the view was great. The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a perfect way to relax. The house was quiet and the women running it were a pleasure.

Finding this B & B literally perched like a bird house on ridge of mountain was challenging, but finally found it lovely and with unsurpassed views. The rooms could be decorated with more updated art and furniture and a mattress that is not on a wooden box without a bedspring. Also, I like amenities such as bottled shampoo and shower gel, not in a dispenser in shower (and there was no gel.) Also, I really like clean towels every day not my day before towels left on the towel rack and on tub. For $160 I think clean towels and toiletries should be part of the package. Also, walls are thin. You can hear EVERYTHING going on next door. Breakfast was plentiful. But the views are amazing. And so are the sunsets. So, if you don't mind a few oversights (towels, shampoo, thin walls), this is your place. And Newberg is just 10 minutes down the winding road.

Thanks for giving us 4 stars even though we failed to meet some of your expectations. I’d like to address some of those expectations with explanations, and some with a hearty “I’m sorry”. First, the challenge of finding us. Although we’re a 10 minute drive from Newberg, some GPS units have an error which adds 2 miles of gravel road to the route. Until the GPS map is updated, we recommend guests follow the directions we provide. Next, our mattresses, being memory foam, need a wood box under them as a box spring cannot support their weight. You don’t say that you didn’t sleep well, so it’s hard for me to know what bothered you about the bed-skirt-covered box. Touching on the art & furniture: I think you stayed in our Rose Garden Room which has contemporary photos of roses from our local garden and a charming picket fence headboard. Maybe it’s not your style, but the photos on our website are pretty spot-on in showing the décor and the choices in the other rooms, like the wrought iron décor of the Wine Country Room. While we do not have amenities, we provide very nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in our wall dispensers. We try to be eco-friendly and find the immense waste generated by little bottles unacceptable. I am sorry the gel dispenser didn’t work; hopefully the individual soap bars (recycled with Clean The World) met your needs. I’m very sorry that we did not change your towels as you wanted. There was a breakdown in communication between myself and my fill-in while I was out sick. Our policy is to change towels after the third night or when a guest leaves the towels in the tub or on the floor. We also stock extra towels in the bathroom so you were never far from new towels. For future guests, be assured that I and my staff endeavor to fix any problem within our ability to change. While we can’t change the headboard or art, a quick knock on the kitchen door or a phone call if we’re out running errands will have us working hard to make things right.

Beautifully built B&B over looking the wine country of Oregon's Willamette Valley with spectacular views from most of the facility. Each of the 4 rooms has a deck with an expansive view and a heating system that allows for deck setting even in cooler weather. While our room, the wine room was small and could have benefited by having a comfy chair in it, the beds were comfortable and the large bathroom with double jetted tub and shower were great. Kristin was most helpful with suggestions based on our interests and accommodating with some of our particular needs. Her breakfasts are lovely. We especially appreciated the healthy and well balanced but wonderfully delicious breakfast which always included baked goods and home made sauces and jellies. It was an enjoyable little escape.

We stayed in the Rose Garden room, high above Newberg with views overlooking the town and surrounding area. The room was not huge, but comfortable. The bed was the only negative; it was a little lumpy and could use a new mattress. Breakfast was outstanding; Kristen made sure we were well fed with delicious and interesting meals each morning, including home-made jams and preserves. A great base for exploring the wine country.

I’m glad this couple from Florida enjoyed their stay with us enough to leave a review. They were certainly a pleasure to meet. It’s so good to know that they enjoyed all four breakfasts. The review also gives me the opportunity to discuss our beds. I have checked out the Rose Garden Room mattress and have found it not to be lumpy... just different than what some folks are used to. All of our rooms have memory foam mattresses which many guests rave about at breakfast, saying it was the best sleep they’ve had. When you lay down on the memory foam, it curves to your body and while shifting around during sleep, you may find that you are laying on top of where it was curved. It very quickly adjusts to the new position, but for some folks, the change is more noticeable than others. I hope I have addressed any concerns future guests may have about our mattresses.

The grounds are well kept. Nice extras offered, some basic things missing (ice!). Breakfast was lovely. Inclined entrance slick when wet with no place to stand out of the rain. Stair and landing carpet needs replacing. Very quiet (a plus) with stunning view, but more guests would have made it seem crowded. In general a pleasant stay.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review us. I always learn how to do things better from our reviewers. I do make an effort to greet our guests at the door when checking in so they don't have to stand out in the rain. I'm sorry I made you wait a bit. We have found that our mini-fridge does not make good ice and when it does, it quickly gets stale. We are more than happy to fill up our ice bucket when guests ask. As the information in our room says, even when we don't seem "around" we respond quite well to a quick phone call. I want our guests to know that I have had the bleach stain on the stair landing repaired. We are typically full or mostly full during our busy season. Even though our common rooms are not super-large, with a living room, TV room, dining room and common deck with lots of seating, our guests don't feel crowded at all. Most enjoy the opportunity to meet new friends. We look forward to have these guests visit us again and I'll be ready with a full ice bucket.

My husband adamantly refused to spend another birthday in Texas. But when his 60th birthday rolled around in December, life had intervened and we were still stuck on Texas. But in January things fell into place and we headed to Oregon for a house-hunting trip. Since we had stayed at Chehalem Ridge before and thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular views, we knew we wanted to stay there to make the last day of our trip a special belated birthday celebration. We stayed in the Wine Country room. Readers should be aware there is a serious problem with that room. It is so cozy, romantic and inviting, you will not want to leave. Seriously. The bed and pillows were so comfortable we felt like we were sleeping on the clouds that enveloped the inn at night. I don't normally think of bathrooms and romance in the same sentence, but the bathroom in this room was made to be shared. The innkeeper, Kristen's, breakfast was fresh, inventive and delicious. All in all, it was a very special occasion!

Chehalem Ridge Bed and Breakfast will now be the only place I stay if I am in wine country around Newberg, Sherwood and Dundee...it is outstanding! The room was lovely and extremely clean, the views from the decks are amazing...it definitely made me want to just stay in and watch the sun set with a glass of wine. Kristen was a lovely host and is an accomplished chef, so her breakfast was superb. Definitely wanted to stay more than the one night that we did. I would recommend Chehalem Ridge to anyone, it's a gem of a location!

This was our second visit to Chehalem Ridge B&B, and our opinion was reinforced that this is a special getaway in the heart of the wine country. My wife and I spent part of our mini-moon (the honeymoon before the honeymoon) at this wonderful B & B perched high up above the Willamette Valley. While we anticipated Oregon's November weather would cloud out the view, we were blessed with mostly sunny skies and amazing views from our "Oregon Coast" room and deck. The room was nice, however it was located on the main floor right across from the front door, and since it was handicap accessible it had no tub. (But, the view made up for that in my opinion.) The Inn keepers, Curt and Kristin are great hosts. Kristin is a fabulous chef and each morning we had a delicious 3 course meal. They were also very accommodating; they even recorded the Michigan vs. OSU football game (the wife is UM grad and football fanatic) which started at 9am PST so we could watch in its entirety after our gourmet breakfast. The B and B is just perfect for anyone wanting to be right in the thick of wine country. Each day we hit up some great wineries, some were only a few minutes away from the B & B. Overall our experience was just about perfect and we are thankful we chose Chehalem Ridge.

Stayed in the wine country room. Magnificent views(worth the extra drive), bathroom was awesome, bed was comfortable, food was outstanding. Kristen has excellent attention to detail in terms of amenities(emergency kit in closet of things travelers forget, restaurant suggestions, maps, coolers, water, etc.). The only minor thing missing was no dresser in the room. Small short closet is all that is avail to place your clothes.

Chehalem Ridge was an excellent place to stay. It's not too far from downtown Newberg and wineries. It has great views and plenty of things to do such as watch TV, hang on the patio, read books and magazines, etc. The one thing I wasn't crazy about was breakfast because it was simply too sweet for my taste. The food was high quality, but I prefer a savory breakfast and next time I stay there I will ask for that in advance, as I know they will accommodate special needs.

We have had our ups and downs with B&Bs over the years. So, when we decided to stay in one while visiting the Oregon Wine Country, we had our fingers crossed when we chose the Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast just outside Newberg. To say that it restored our faith in B&Bs would be an understatement. The location is atop a ridge overlooking a winery filled valley and the town of Newberg. One morning while enjoying breakfast on the deck, we were treated to watching three hot air balloons drifting across the valley floor below us. Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were fantastic, the rooms and accompanying accommodations were great and the location is right in the center of the area’s Willamette Wine district as well as an easy commute into Portland and the Columbia River Gorge areas. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we changed our itinerary and added an extra day when we found out that our room was not booked for the day following our planned departure. Beautiful place to stay after wine tasting. The view of the valley was wonderful. We stayed in the Oregon Trail room that was lovely, but I didn't realize there is NO view with this room of the valley like the others have (I understood there was no balcony). Unfortunately we also got some heavy winds in the evening that kept us from enjoying the common balcony and low clouds in the morning . Kristen is very nice and I love how modern everything was. She really pays attention to detail. Food was good, but not so filling for my 28 year old husband. We could only afford one night in the valley. As we stayed in a very nice place in Cannon Beach for only $90 a night that is more what I think it's worth.

Overall, a nice spot to stay in Oregon wine country. Amazing view from the ridge, cozy amenities and the bathroom in the "wine country room" was modern, but relaxing. A lot of thought went into everything from the heated patio, the well equipped emergency kit, bathrobes and various books, CD's, movies and games. Thankfully, no TV in the room and the art was fun and local. The other guests were fun to get to know and breakfast was delicious. Plus, you really cannot beat the lush country surrounding! My picky hesitations: not the most welcoming introduction or general interaction. The words were there, but the mood seemed a bit exhausted and sort of "over" the customer service. I will say that I saw a different reaction with other guests, so I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt that our perceived youth(?) may have affected our relationship. Or maybe the extremely relaxed attitude was meant to relate to us more. I don't know, but I left feeling like I was sort of a bother. But, that being said, and great place to stay and I would recommend it.

Driving up we could see the B&B on the ridgeline and exlaimed, "THAT's where we're staying?!" Couldn't have picked a better place to overlook the valley. We were so far above the valley floor, we felt like we were soaring with the local winged populace. One might think that the drive along the winding road to Chehalem B&B is not worth the time. Wrong! Doesn't take anytime at all to get back down to the commercial area and/or to wine tasting, etc. Kristin makes a killer breakfast and the interaction with other couples just made it all the better. Was really fun and relaxing. For you die-hards that can't get away from global communication, the Wi-Fi works just fine. When you first get out of your car and walk up to the edge, your eyes and lungs will be in shock from the sight and altitude (smile). From first setting foot inside, we could tell that much thought was put into the ambiance of Chehalem. Just makes one feel like they belong there for the next 100 years. We will be back...unfortunately, not soon enough.

This is the perfect place to stay after tasting wine in the Dundee area. The views from the B&B are fantastic. We were served breakfast on the deck overlooking wine country. The inn keeper, Kristin is also an unbelievable cook. She knows how to alter her dishes for food allergies. I have a gluten intolerance and my husband is allergic to eggs. She had gluten free, egg free cookies in our room, and for breakfast, she made us delicious lemon ricotta pancakes! The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. We love the wine country room because it has a large jetted tub.

Designed from scratch as a B&B. Outstanding appointments, great views good value. A little out of the way for winery visits. Huge innovative breakfasts - more than we could eat, but too much sugar. Our room appeared as shown and we enjoyed watching a movie while eating a tasty home-baked cookie in the cozy area downstairs. The large, jetted tub in the Wine Room as well as the view from the balcony was a definite highlight; I also enjoyed the fine soap, shampoo and conditioner provided! Once I noticed the stairs hadn't been recently vacuumed, I began to notice other things that weren't as clean as I'd expect them to be (fixtures, walls, etc.). Our breakfast was smaller (beverages, scones, fresh-fruit parfait, blueberry french toast and some bacon) than expected but still very tasty. The property was attractive and quiet.

This was my first experience with a B&B and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful place! The house was only 5 years old, so all the amenities and furnishings were modern (many we looked at online were decorated in a country colonial style that is not my preference). There was a private balcony off our room overlooking the Willamette Valley as well as a shared balcony on the main floor where we ate breakfast one morning. Kristen, the owner/innkeeper, made some really stunning breakfasts. My favorite was the ham and cheese quiche with a handmade walnut crust--yum! We would definitely return to this property and will recommend to our friends.

The photos are true to the reality - this place is spectacular. It is gorgeous beyond words. The set up is great - very well designed. The service rating above could have been three instead of two, depending on how service is defined. Conveniences were fantastic and thoughtul - cold water, wine chillers, bandaids, maps. But the innkeeper was not very friendly even when we tried to engage her. We even felt that we annoyed her with simple requests. But Chehalem Ridge is such a good find for the price that we would consider staying there again.

I'd like to thank the guest for taking the time to comment on their stay with us. We do read every comment and look for ways to improve our B&B and our guests' stay with us. As Innkeeper, I try very hard to understand each of our guests' needs and desires. Some guests like to be left alone while others want more interactivity. While I generally am on the mark with what each guest wants their experience to be, I fell short with this guest and for that I am truly sorry. I appreciate that this couple is willing to give me another chance when they come to wine country again.

What a great place to stay! My boyfriend and I had never been to Oregon before and we wanted to mix a little city with wine country. Portland was great, but staying at Chehalem Ridge B&B was even better! The view is amazing (I recommend the Rose Garden room), very clean, well kept. What I didn't expect were the little touches they have thought of from bird-watching books and binoculars to a mini-flashlight on our key chain. They had wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what wineries to visit and their suggestions did not disappoint. We had to rise early for two days (once for a balloon ride and the other to catch our flight home). Both days they had coffee programmed for us and on the day we left, Kristin made us muffins to take with us. On the day of the balloon ride, they took pictures from the B&B of our balloon! I couldn't have asked for more of this place. They do a wonderful job and we would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

As soon as I walked into the B&B I was very pleased. The home is just so nice and all the rooms are decorated differently. Kristin and Kurt really show how much talent they have the way everything is set up. Breakfast was superb! And the view is outstanding. I would definately stay there again when I'm in Oregon Willamete Valley for another visit.

Great location with a beautiful view. Breakfast was gourmet, and our food allergies were catered to completely (which is a great service to provide and beyond what most places will do). The room was great (ocean room) with a cozy little fire place and everything, but the bed was not all that comfortable (too soft). Loved the little private deck with a heater, and the bathroom was very nice and clean. All in all a great place to stay and we will be back!

Thank you so much or this informative review. We’re very happy you enjoyed your time with us. We are sorry that the bed was too soft for you. For our future guests, we’d like them to know that our mattresses are memory foam mattresses. We generally get great comments about them, even guests who email after their visit to research purchasing one themselves, but we do occasionally hear from guests for whom the beds were not the best fit.

We had a great time at the Chehalem Ridge. Other than the view, I would say the best part was the breakfast. Amazing

We had a delightful time here -- Kristin is a friendly, witty host and the inn reflects a great deal of thoughtul attention to detail. Individual room climate controls, heaters on the public & private decks, luxurious linens . . . and that doesn't even speak to the views! Quiet, private country setting but cloes to town. We'd recommend Chehalem Ridge to anyone!

This is an amazing get-away to complete a remarkable wine-country outing. The wine room with private, heated balcony and 2-person jacuzzi made the stay even more relaxing. Kristin surprised us with home-made blueberry muffins, pinot noir grape jelly, and perfect salmon hash with poached eggs. I was hard to leave!

Wow!!! The view was amazing and the hospitality wonderful. Kristin really made us feel welcome and the "homey" feel of the inn was a great end to a day of touring the wine country. We will most definitely be returning in the near future. We stayed in the "Wine Room" and loved the comfortable bed and the romantic touches throughout. The spa-like bathroom provided a welcome santuary after a day spent in the chill of the winter weather. This inn is a "must" for anyone who is looking for the "little touches" that make a stay very special. - Mike and Cindy Zellers, Portland, OR

This B&B has so many superlatives. The view is stunning, the rooms clean and bright. The breakfast was outstanding--my wife and I stayed at several different B&Bs in the valley over a week's vacation, but the breakfast here was by far the best--fresh, delicious, and creative.

The view was spectacular; the food great and the hospitality very good. We stayed in the Rose Garden Room, which was a little small, but it had a great claw foot tub to soak in. The food and company were great; we particularly loved the poached pear with yogurt and hazelnuts.

Dozens of wineries surround Chehalem Ridge, making it a good place at which to begin a tasting tour or end one. We chose this spot to enjoy the Willamette valley vistas before heading to the coast, and we were not disappointed. While travelers have several options in this locale, we found the casual comfort of Chehalem Ridge suited us perfectly. The inn is an affordable option and provides all guests with private decks, which make it possible to truly savor the amazing views. The guest living room provided space to read and relax while enjoying the homemade cookies and beverages offered each day. Our breakfast was a tasty dish featuring zucchini from Kristen's garden and fresh eggs laid by a neighbor's hens. Though most often bustling in the background, Kristen was always available to offer suggestions about wineries and restaurants or to tend to our needs. When she learned that I like NY Times crosswords, she sifted through recent papers to find me some, along with comic strips for my husband. They exchanged jokes about their favorites with the good humor that characterized her friendly rapport throughout our stay. A scrapbook of photos illustrating the transformation of the property testifies to the love Kristen and her husband have put into making Chehalem Ridge the welcoming inn it is today. They found a way to maximize comfort and privacy for their guests and to showcase the star: the view. That each of the four rooms affords its own deck from which to survey the beauty of the amazing countryside makes this B and B a jewel worth searching out.

Fantastic view from every room! It was like an inn up in the clouds. Each room has a character all its own. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained; breakfast was consistently delicious and the the atmosphere was very friendly. As first-time visitors to the area, we found it very helpful that the inn had all the information available (restaurant guides and sample menus, directions, etc.) at our fingertips. Kudos to the innkeepers!! We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. A perfect getaway!

Never have stayed before in a B&B and we really enjoyed our time there. We got to meet other travellers, got to get great input from Kristin, had a great night rest, perfect breakfast. Cannot complain about one thing. I even noticed the smallest of details - the tissue in the bathroom was the soft kleenex with lotion - just a nice touch. The very best thing was the view and the balconey. Unbelievable! Was really great stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Kristin & Curt at their B&B and had an absolute fantastic time. They were wonderful hosts, the food was amazing (which says a lot, considering my boyfriend and i are big foodies, and seek out quality and uniqueness everywhere we go), and the B&B was wonderful -- perfectly situated in Oregon wine country, which made it a great stopover on our wine tasting weekend adventure. The innkeepers were extremely welcoming and helpful with all our needs -- suggestions for wineries, general directions, and overall openness with the area and what we were looking for. We stayed in the Oregon Trail Room, which even though it was the smallest, it was perfect for our stay, expectations and price! AND the views from the B&B were breathtaking. we will definitely be back! and will spread the word to our friends...as long as we have our reservation their first ;) this was my boyfriend and my first bed and breakfast, and i must say it will be very hard to top! thanks so much!!!

We had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights at Chahalem Ridge B & B. It takes a little work to find the place but once you are there you are rewarded with a wonderful view of the valley. We enjoyed our early morning views of the valley and the local wildlife from the deck that extended from our room. Our room was a little on the small side. The bathroom was more that adequate in size. Kristin and her husband were very helpful in planning our daily adventures to the local wineries and vineyards. We enjoyed the breakfeasts on the deck each morning overlooking the valley. Chehalem Ridge is another very good example of why we choose to stay at B & B's instead of commercial hotels. A good value for the money.

I enjoyed my stay very much. I needed a relaxing retreat and got exactly what I was hoping for. The Inn was spotless, the bed very comfy, breakfast very good and the view SPECTACULAR. When you drive down the gravel driveway, you can already see the Willamette Valley below you and you know that you are in for a treat. Kristin, the innkeeper, greeted us at the door with her friendly smile and showed us around her beautiful home. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable and well appointed. The house has no immediate neighbor and is nice and quiet. Top notch restaurants and wineries are only 10 to 20 minutes down the hill. But the view was so attractive that we decided to bring some food home after wine tasting and ate at the patio one evening. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruits (some grown on the property), home made jams and bread, and tasty quiche. We only stayed for a couple of nights but wished that we had time for more.

We arrived Friday night and were pleasantly greeted by Kristin. She showed us our room, and we were quite excited to be staying there for the weekend. Coming late after work, we were a little hungry and excited to try some local restaurants. Kristin didn't hesitate to tell us a few top choices and show us the large array of menus they had on hand for their tenants -- making our decision much easier! We slept wonderfully, as the rays of sunshine gently awakened us from the skylight above our bed. We wasted no time and headed down the stairs for breakfast. The excitement felt was like that of Christmas morning! (Or similar respective holidays.) There was fresh, hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Being from Seattle, coffee was our choice. Breakfast was AMAZING. Three courses of delicious food made from fresh, local supplies. And to think, we'd get to enjoy the whole event once again the next morning! :) After breakfast, we headed to the deck overlooking many vineyards below to finish our coffee. It was a little chilly, and before we knew it, we had the heater on and Kristin's husband, Curt, was bringing us some blankets to warm up in. We felt like royalty, indeed! Overall, it was a wonderfully carefree, romantic weekend. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean, the view gorgeous, and only surpassed by the delectable breakfasts. To stay somewhere else during a trip to the Willamette Valley would surely be starting the trip off with a disadvantage. We highly recommend this wonderful, cliff-dwelling B&B! As commonly heard on these reviews, but heartfelt-ly meant in this one, we will be back!!

After reading the amazing reviews for this b&b we thought this would be the perfect place for our honeymoon. We planned for five nights but it wasn't what we hoped and by the third night we decided to leave in hopes of saving at least the last couple of our days of vacation. The place was beautiful and I think that it would have been perfect for just a weekend stay with the days spent in wine country but for a place that we were hoping to spend our days cuddled up together it felt less than comfortable. I think for me it just didn't feel warm and welcoming. Perhaps it was that we had just come from an amazing b&b experience in Westport, WA where we were truly made to feel at home and were hoping for a similar experience . . . but whatever the reason we felt that the innkeeper just wasn't very approachable and as the little problems built up and began to ruin our time together we thought it was best to just go. The view was gorgeous and the room was beautiful, however, the first night we found long blond hairs in our bed and tub (and neither of us are blond) and that morning there was hair in my husband's muffin. After the second night I needed the sheets changed and the response of the innkeeper made me feel like I was being a bother . . . Ultimately, we felt like we were paying too much money for a way too special of a vacation time to feel like an "inconvenience."

The view can't be beat. However, if you can not be at breakfast at listed time-its your loss. I could not be at breakfast at the stated time so after a strong request I was able to obtain coffee and a small breakfast roll. So we ended going to the store to buy breakfast for me. Also we were reprimanded for arriving early. It is a nice place as long as you do it her way.

Being a small bed and breakfast, we are limited in our breakfast service times so that we can provide a gourmet, 3 course breakfast. For those guests who leave early for business or early flights, we are happy to provide freshly baked muffins or scones and fruit. We strive to have a welcoming home when our guests arrive, which means taking time to clean. Early check in times can sometimes be accommodated with advanced notice. For those guests who arrive extremely early, I may offer some good-natured chiding. While it is intended to be tongue-in-cheek, I apologize if it came across as a form of reprimand.

My sister and I thought we would be adventurous and try a B&B. Boy, did we get lucky. When we first saw the view of the valley when we drove in the driveway, we thought it was beautiful. In addition to having a phenominal view (which we could experience due to the clear nights), the house was beautiful. Kristen & her husband worked really hard in making it a place you want to come back to after a hard day of wine tasting. Her breakfasts were very yummy (and healthy!). My wife and I just returned from 4 nights in Oregon, 2 of which were at the Chehalem Ridge (the other 2 were in Hood River). Upon arrival, the views from the parking lot were amazing, and the view from our private deck (Wine Country Room) was even better than the way it looked on their website. Kristin prepared wonderful breakfasts which were not too light nor too filling. We enjoyed lounging on our deck, the larger common deck, and in the living area for one morning, and very much enjoyed the cookies she had out during each pass through the living room. The location, while off the main area of Newberg, is wonderful and very close to many wineries and dining options. But be prepared for the drive up – this place is on Mountain Top Road, and they aren’t kidding – it’s the top of the valley (otherwise you wouldn’t get those views). Kristin also had available several menus for us to review prior to leaving for meals and politely steered us toward what we wanted (my wife liked this, I prefer a more blunt explanation of a place – cheap & good, good but overpriced, crappy, etc. Just tell me how it is so I can go.). Be aware that driving from Newberg to Dundee can be a mess after 3:00. Kristin warned us of this (tho we forgot!!) and has a map available to take the back roads instead of the main drag – this became very useful so as to not waste our limited time in the area sitting in traffic (think Napa but worse). Overall, Chehalem Ridge has an absolutely stunning location, clean comfortable rooms, beautiful bathrooms, and tasty food. I rate value as Met My Expectations as I honestly expect to pay $150-$200 for this type of B&B (tho I would pay lower if I can find it!). I also rate Cleanliness as Met My Expectations as for that amount of money, it sure better be clean!

I planned this trip as a surprise for my husband for his birthday. We've just begun managing our own restaurant and night club, and hardly have had a moments peace in over six months - so we really needed to just escape and watch the world go on around us... Chehalem was PERFECT. We stayed in the Wine Country Room, as we planned to visit several wineries during our stay. The view was romantic and lovely, the jacuzzi luxuruiously devine, and the bed cozy and comfy as could be - not a squeak or a shake in the frame. Kristin's recommendations on dining were helpful and accurate, though we did end up ordering pizza and planing Uno in the room with some of the wine we'd gotten earlier! Breakfast in the morning was perfectly portioned and scrumptious with poached pears and pumpkin pancakes with candied pecans... mmm! I'm excited to hear that by this time next year most of what is served will be grown in their own garden too. I would definately recommend Chehalem Ridge to anyone visiting Oregon Wine Country - it's was everything we wanted for our getaway.

My wife and I wanted to spend four days in wine country, and I searched long and hard for a nice hotel. Unable to find one, we decided to try a B&B. This was a first for both of us and I was sceptical for the usual reasons. Chehalem Ridge turned out to be everything it appeared to be on the internet, and more. We stayed in the Coast room on the main floor with our own balcony. It was spotless and very private. The views from our balcony at sunset were spectacular. Kristen is a wonderful inkeeper and a fantastic chef. The breakfasts were all incredible. I am afraid our experience there may have spoiled us for any future B&B stays. I cannot believe there are many other places equal to this. We would definitely recommend Chehalem Ridge to anyone who like us is a little unsure about staying in a B&B.

Found this B&B online and was enticed by the view - sitting atop a ridge overlooking the valley - shown on the website. Was a bit skeptical because you never know what its really like until you get there. Well, the real thing was even better than I expected...absolutely stunning! Perfect homebase for a weekend of winetasting. The innkeepers were very gracious, breakfast was great, room was immaculate. All in all, a great experience.

If you need a view that will take your breath away, a quiet that will let you hear your own breath and a location that literally seems like you are on top of the world, this is the place. My wife and I spent 10 days in Oregon. Our first two days were in Portland. Our first night outside Portland was at Chehalem Ridge. We wanted to arrive early to enjoy the view. We weren't disappointed. For as far as the eye can see, we were treated to the spectacular view of the valley below. We introduced ourselves to Krisitin and she gave us the tour. She was very friendly and made us feel at home (bring your sense of humor, she has a good one). The room had a great view of the valley, as well, and had a private balcony for us to enjoy the view. Our room was clean and very nicely decorated. We took advantage of the two person jacuzzi tub, a nice way to unwind. After that, we took a glass of wine out on the balcony and actually were lucky enough to enjoy a few shooting stars (very romantic!). In the morning, we were treated to a great breakfast. Kristin made eggs and bacon (the bacon in Oregon is amazing). The coffee was delicious and and we enjoyed it with a very special treat. We learned that, unique to Oregon, there is a jelly made with Marion berries. We had never had them before. Very tasty, you must try it. All in all, even though it was only a one night stay, we are left with great memories and we highly recommend Chehalem Ridge B&B. Be sure you stay there when you're in the area, you won't regret it!!!

Chehalem Ridge is perched on a hill side with a commanding view of the valley below, which is a patch work of farms, wineries, and the small town of Newberg. Innkeeper Kristin Fintel is a great source of information on area wineries, places to eat, and activities. Kristin is welcoming without over-whelming her visitors. She makes you feel that you've made a new friend.

This B&B is totally charming and comfortable. The owner's were gracious and unobtrusive. When we arrived, they gave us tips on what to do and even recommended we come back for a fireworks display - what incredible views. The rooms are immaculate and well thought out with everything you could want to relax. We didn't eat breakfast with them because we had an early morning balloon ride, but they set the coffee maker so we would have some to go when we left at 5 am. When we arrived home, they owner's had taken photos of our hot air balloon from the house and even burned a copy to CD.

Chehalem Ridge B & B was lovely and the view of the valley was spectacular from the high vantage point. The fog rolling in was an extra bonus. We were also directed to some wonderful wineries and a very good restaurant in the village of Dundee, very close by. We will definitely stay again when we are again in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon.

The photographs on this site show exactly what you can expect at Chehalem Ridge. Gorgeous! We spent two nights in the Rose Garden Room and plan to return when next in the area. Kristin is a delightful host who makes delicious breakfasts.

My husband and I recently spent a week at Chehalem ridge over Memorial Day weekend. I originally fell in love with the pictures of the location and the rooms, and I was not disappointed. We stayed in the Oregon Coast room and the view took my breath away. This was the perfect stress relief, making me feel free and alive. We watched birds, balloons at dawn, and spectacular sunsets from our room and balcony. We anticipated breaksfast each morning with different home baked breads, fresh fruit, savory and sweet main dishes. On the day we left, Kristin had supplied a "to go" breakfast with our favorite chai scones. The unexpected plus was the fun we had with Kristin, who was always ready to talk about our day, give us advice for places to visit, tell stories about the inn and the area. We kept asking about flora and fauna, and she would find out details for us--even braving barking dogs to get a sample of an interesting tree bloom for us. She made us feel like we were staying with a friend from the first night that we arrived, tired and hungry. The inn is wonderful, the area is beautiful, the wines are delicious. It is a long way from Ohio to Oregon, but we will return.

I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast. Kristin is fantastic and the setting is beautiful. Her breakfasts were fabulous and plentiful. The rooms are cozy with balconies off each room. The common areas are conducive to small get-togethers with friends to share the great wine of the region. Can't wait to come back

We have been visiting our daughter and her family in Portland for 10 years, and this year we decided to include a stay in the Willamette Valley wine area. After searching a number of web sites, we decided to take a chance on the Chehalem Ridge B&B. That turned out to be one of our best vacation decisions. It is a small, four room, B&B, with a very big view and wonderful accomodations. It is less than two years old (we found that out after we arrived), but it felt like a "home away from home". Kristin, the innkeeper, is a spectacular chef, and her breakfasts are worth the visit, alone. However, the quality of the rooms, the decks, and the public areas create an experience that exceeds what we have found at other B&Bs. Obviously, we left with a commitment to return and to tell our friends about our experience!

My husband and I stayed at the Chehalem Ridge B&B for 2 nights in April in the Rose Garden Room. Although it took a good 20 minutes from OR-99W to reach the B&B, the view from our room was worth every minute of driving. The B&B is perched atop Chehalem Mountain with breathtaking views of the Willamette Valley. The inn itself is extremely cozy and relaxed and Kristin made sure our every need was met. Breakfasts were a fine dining experience and started with a fruit dish (such as a poached apple) and a homemade pastry (we enjoyed lemon poppyseed bread and carrot muffins while there). The main courses at breakfast were truly gourmet -- smoked salmon quiche one day and baked stuffed french toast the next. It was great to have full tummies before we started our days of wine tasting. I highly recommend the Chehalem B&B if you are visiting Oregon's wine country.

We are just back from spending a night in the "wine country" room. It was beautiful with a wonderful two-person jetted tub and the most amazing view of the valley. We had our own private porch with heat on it, so we could even sit out there in the late evening and enjoy. Breakfast was wonderful and the innkeeper was the perfect blend of attentive but not intrusive. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I are fortunate to live in Portland, just an hour from some of Oregon's finest wineries. Throughout the year, we take day trips to Newberg, Dundee and Carlton to sample wine and stock our cellar. Recently, we planned a weekend escape at a reasonable B&B so we could enjoy some tastings without having to rush home. Chehalem Ridge proved to be an ideal location. It's close to many outstanding vineyards while offering a fantastic view of the valley from above. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were cozy and clean. Kristin made sure our experience was one we will recommend to all of our friends. I have written a more detailed review at my blog, which I encourage you to read at http://myclam.wordpress.com/ Mike Lambe Portland, OR

We stayed at this B&B to do some wine-tasting in the area, and had an excellent experience. Friendly & helpful hosts, fabulous views of the area, quiet and relaxing. Very new and clean. Our Wine Country room had a truly exceptional bathroom, very nicely decorated. Small downside was lack of drawers for clothing. Breakfasts were excellent. Overall a superb B&B; we'll definitely be back!

The views, the food, the cleanliness, and the location make this the best B&B I have ever stayed in on my many trips to Oregon. It is close to the wineries and some of the best restaurants in the world. AND it is only 30 minutes from the Portland airport!

Our week long stay at Chehalem was wonderful! Kristin is a very gracious and considerate innkeeper and her breakfasts were delicious. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the area's sights (including maps and brochures of most things to see in the surrounding areas) she has every detail covered...umbrellas, picnic baskets, fridge, corkscrew, board games and cookies. The entire B&B was immaculately clean and the views cannot be beat. We would definately return to Chehalem B&B and because it is so centrally located, definately recommend it to anyone going to the Oregon wine country.

Just stayed at this fantastic new B&B with my husband as we wine tasted in the Willamette Valley. This place was AWESOME! Clean, Tasteful, & Young (no doilies!). There are only a few rooms (therefore few guests at one time.. a plus), and a view that's hard to tear yourself away from. We stayed in the Oregon Trail Room (you can see all the rooms easily from their website). It was the only room without a private balcony/view.. but the deck off of the living room is always open with tables & chairs, etc- so it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was also great... served out on the deck weather providing... the B&B owner is a culinary school grad that whips up yummy interesting dishes (chai scones, baked eggs, Estate fruit parfaits). Prices were also extremely reasonable (and no big hotel tax in Oregon). We're definitely planning on going back. A real find....

We had a fabulous experience at the Chehalem Ridge B&B. The inn is comfortable, impeccably clean and has incredible views of the wine country. Kristin was a great host. She was very helpful and went out of her way to accomodate our special dietary needs. Her homemade cookies and gourmet breakfast were both delicious. We stayed in the coast room and thoroughly enjoyed the views---the heater on the deck made it even more comfortable to stay outside after sunset! I've stayed in alot of b&b's over the years, but Chehalem Ridge is by far, the best!

We spent 3 nights at Chehalem Ridge in early August. What a wonderful place! Spotless room, unbelievable views, great breakfasts. Convenient to everything but far enough away to insure relaxation. Kristin is a gracious hostess who knows the area well. Take advantage of her suggestions. We recommend Chehalem Ridge without hesitation.

Kristen gives guests all the comforts of home, and many more. Who could match the idyllic view, the delicious muffins/breakfast, the charming decor, the comfortable rooms with private baths, private balconies overlooking the valley, and did I mention the view? One morning during our stay we watched hot air balloons rise through wisps of fog. A return to the Oregon wine country would definitely include Chehalem Ridge B&B.

We had an amazing time at this peaceful retreat overlooking Oregon winecountry. The grounds were beautifully kept and boasted many of the local perennials and native plants. Inside, the inn keepers were very welcoming and accomodating. "The Oregon Coast" room, was very tidy and decorated perfectly to match the theme. We had a Gorgeous view of the valley and coastal range, it was magnificent. A romantic fireplace, very soft sheets and cozy robes were just a few of the amenities provided for our stay. When we returned from dinner, home made chocolate chunk cookies and tea/hot chocolate awaited us, yummy! We slept soundly in the comfortable bed, the fireplace illuminting our room and providing warmth through the night. The next morning we indulged in a delicious gourmet breakfast and fresh, hot coffee - a must! Our stay, although too short, was very restful and enjoyable. We will definitely visit Chahalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast next time we are in Oregon. Thanks, Kristin & Curt!

I will stay at this bed and breakfast during every future trip to Newburg. The location of this B & B is outstanding and the views are tremendous. We stayed in the Wine County Room which is the largest of the four available rooms. Everything seemed brand new. Our bathroom Jacuzzi tub for two was a treat, the linens were soft and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. For such a nominal fee, staying at this B & B is a no brainer. Some of the motels in town were the same price if not more than this pristine retreat just a few minutes from town. I would recommend this for anyone!

Our stay with friends at Chehalem Ridge last month was delightful. The rooms were immaculate, cheerfully decorated and the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Kristin and Curt were great hosts and very accomodating. Each breakfast was delicious and interesting--we missed them when we moved on. If you really want a feel of Oregon, this is a great B&B. Located high above the vinyards and valley about 30 min. from Portland, you have a view that is nothing short of breathtaking. Rooms are sparkling clean, with a modern touch (not your old style warm and fuzzy decor but clean and refreshing), the hosts were great and breakfast was mouthwatering--a salmon kisch and bunch of other nice side dishes. I stayed there on the weekend when I went to see my son graduate from college, and it was well worth it. Bring your camera and lots of fim (better yet, a digital camera and you can shoot all day).

We just returned from spending 3 days with friends in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and we think we found the PERFECT accommodations. We love staying at small B & B's and this one suited all our needs. We each enjoyed the magnificent, breathtaking views of the valley below from our private balconies. Because it's often windy, each balcony had built in heaters, if we needed them! The rooms were fresh and clean, and gave us all some new decorating ideas. All 4 themed rooms were terrific and one was even designed for Handicap accessibility. We sat by the fireplace in this contemporary home with homemade cookies from Kristin, the Proprietor, as she helped us plan our daily outings. She knew so many of the wineries and restaurants in the area and gave us excellent suggestions and directions. She and her husband Curt were a delight. Kristin's breakfasts were lovely and delicious and we would encourage anyone traveling to the area to seek out this new Bed and Breakfast.
