Farrel House Lodge is a replica (circa 1941) of an old world southern colonial mansion tucked away on 130 acres of meadows, woodlands and farmland. The lodge offers a scenic retreat with gracious living, abundant wildlife, residential dining and year round fly fishing for trout on a privately stocked 2 mile section of Cold Creek, Ohio's premier trout stream. The lodge is conviently located in the heart of Ohio's vacationland, and is minutes from Cedar Point, Great Wolf & Kalahari amusement/waterparks, state parks & nature preserves, Lake Erie Islands, historic destinations and local wineries.

House is beautifull. Room was spacious, beautiful , with comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty. The territory around the house was marvelous, trout in the brook, weeping willows... Everything was great! Olga and Sasha

My husband and I stayed 2 nights on a quick weekend get-a-away with a little bit of fun at Cedar Point - it was so relaxing to return to a cozy home like setting instead of the usual drab hotel room! We enjoyed an afternoon stroll along the creek and admired the beautiful grounds. We will defiantly be returning! They treat you like family. Rita & Jerry

I booked bedroom #9 for a weekend Cedar Point trip. Doug warned me that the room would be small, but it was perfect! It was very cozy and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Sunday morning we had time to walk the property all the way to the big, famous oak tree. This is such a serene piece of property. It feels like you stepped back in time.

The Farrell House Lodge is truly an exceptional retreat! We had a wonderful and relaxing time enjoying the property and the beautiful house. The guest rooms are comfortable, beautiful and extremely clean. All of the staff are wonderful and do an amazing job! Everything was perfect...from the room to the delicious food to the gorgeous well kept grounds...we are already planning trips to return! Thank you so much! -The Chatfield's

In July 2011, my husband, children, grandchildren, and I enjoyed the most pleasant stay at the Farrell House Bed & Breakfast. It was like home away from home. The children especially loved fishing in the lake, but everything was perfect--the hospitality, the charming rooms, the delicious breakfast, and the serene nature walks.

Thank you to everyone at Sunnybrook for giving me a most memorable vacation! My stay at the Farrell House in Sandusky, Ohio proved to be one of the highlights of this August trip. Everything about the lodge and the grounds translated to a calming sanctuary that just seemed to enveloped anyone who crossed the hidden bridge over the first trout stream. Willow trees and white rockers, dining alfresco on the back deck, walking the acres of property, meeting and sharing stories with members of the Trout Club were all opportunities that I will cherish for years. From my first greeting by owner, Doug Lamb, and introduction to Greg and Peggy (chef and his wonderful, jack of all trades, wife), to breakfast (included) and delicious lunch choices to share while visiting with family and friends, to raiding the cooler for a midnight snack & finally falling into the most comfy, cozy bed (room #9) - obviously, I simply can't say enough good things about the Farrell House! I just wish I weren't 2500 miles away! Don't wait until you just happen to be in the neighborhood to check out and book this bed and breakfast. Make it your next destination get-away. We had such a great time at Farrell House. Doug was very nice and gave us a full tour of the lodge. In addition to a beautiful house the property is gorgeous. Even if you don't fish it is well worth wandering across the bridges and through the willow trees. If you enjoy floating around the pond there are kayaks, a canoe and a row boat to us for free.
