Suites de style unique dans un tour-de-la-siècle, maison de ville au coeur de Manhattan, retravaillé par les propriétaires architecte / designer pour créer un refuge tranquille, mais finalement la hanche urbain qui offre un confort et originalité. Le design est un reflet de la créativité sous-jacent afin de premier plan dans son environnement immédiat où se mêlent classique et moderne dans une diversité incomparable. Notre maison d'hôtes flambant neuf, inauguré fin du mois de mai 2011, a été rénovée avec des détails contemporains et une tentative de relancer et d'intégrer dans la conception des caractéristiques traditionnelles d'un immeuble typique du village. Les suites sont adaptées pour les couples, familles ou groupes d'amis voyageant ensemble. Certaines suites ont des portes communicantes et peuvent être ouverts les uns aux autres pour accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes.

We spend with my friend an amazing week in New York City and we made an excellent choice with The Contempo Design Suites. The place is quiet, clean and lovely. Union Square is right nearby, which is very convenient to take cab & subway or get food : there are many places to eat & supermarkets in the area. You feel at home with the fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV and netflix movie streaming. Tea, coffee and cereals even wait for your first breakfast in NY ! The room decor is cool, but forget the view. You’ll sleep tight there, enjoy to see the Empire State Building at the end of the street !

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a quiet place with private atmosphere. There is no traditional front desk but they will arrange for your check-in beforehand. There are office hours in the morning, and after that you have the hosts' phones to call if you need anything. Requests are handled fast and efficiently. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, I was surprised how quiet it was despite this place being in the middle of the city. The room decor was modern and funky but functional still. There is satellite TV and netflix movie streaming to watch free movies, and the kitchen is equipped with everything imaginable to prepare meals/eat in. The location could't be better and we loved the neighborhood - easy to get to various parts of town via subway (the nearest station is about 3 minutes walk) or on foot. There are many places to eat out in the close vicinity and there are 3 big supermarkets as well as a 24hrs deli close by if you want to cook your own meals in the kitchen. Broadway and 5th Avenue shopping 2 blocks away. The prices more than reasonable considering the location.

Finding good accommodation in Manhattan was not easy! Everything we looked at was either overpriced or outdated. The rooms in this property were offered at a very decent rate and we thought it would be worth it even if the room is not as nice as shown in the pictures. But I can confirm the pictures on the website are very accurate. We wanted to save on accommodation so we chose one of the cheaper studio rooms looking onto the backside, it did not get much sunlight and was kind of dark but the smart design (bright colors and lighting, modern furniture) made you forget this. We loved it! The well equipped kitchenette was also a plus. I gave 5 stars for dining as well because the area was full of restaurants from the very cheap to the expensive and classy and anywhere we ate the food was actually great. We would definitely come back, I just hope the prices will not go up!

This was our first time to stay in a guest house (as opposed to a hotel) and this property did not disappoint. We stayed in a family suite with our two teenage daughters - it was very spacious (especially compared to hotel rooms in New York!!) and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen where we could prepare our own breakfasts and dinners (there are couple of nice supermarkets nearby for food shopping). The area is fantastic - in the middle of everything - perfect base to explore the city from. Great place, great value.

I have spend a week in New York City and have been absolute happy to stay in the Contempo Design Suites for four days. I felt so perfectly home and comforted at this butiful apartment-like room direct at the fith avenue. This place is newly renovated an not only equiped with up to date television and media access (Media-server, WLAN) but also impressingly decorated with well picked design-furniture. Everything seems to be new and perfectly clean. Service was highly attentive and of course verry friendly and helpful. Our stay at the Contempo Design Suites couldn't have been better and was much above my good hotel experiences. I'm looking foreward to return at my next time in NYC. Five Stars in every category.

This place is really amazing! It's a brand new property in the middle of NYC. Very central so it's easy to get to everywhere you want, close to Village and Midtown, too. Our room was spacious and so nicely designed, also very clean. Kitchen is superb and useful if you don't want to eat out everyday and want to save some money. But you'll find several nice restaurants closeby. Staff also very helpful, kind and informative. All in all, I had a lovely stay here and I think it's very good value for money. If you'd like to stay somewhere central and nice, this is definitely a good choice!
