The bedrooms were very cozy, very clean and very comfortable. In addition there are 2 very clean bathrooms for the non-suite guests. These bathrooms are clean, were on the same floor as your bedroom and had a lot of amenities. Towels galore! Let me put it this way, if you forget to bring lotion, toothpaste or even a toothbrush...it's there. The owner and hostess of the place, Joan Smith, is such a sweet, thoughtful lady. We were presented with cookies upon arrival and were sent home with more cookies and banana bread upon check out. Breakfast was, of course, included with what you paid for and it wasn't something to sniff about either. She really knows how to entertain and seems to truly care about the guests (knowing that we were coming with kids, Joan even shopped for juice boxes and yogurt). The breakfast consisted of carved pineapples, homemade parfait, a delicious French toast and bacon. Of course the menu changes but all were delicious. Thanks, Joan! We had a lovely stay at Buck's homestead in Orange County NY. We were in town to pick up our Son , the US Marine who had been in Japan over two years and we were really excited so we decided to arrive a day early and explore all the wonderful local attractions and there's a lot to do in the area. We wanted to try something different but we experienced better at the B&B, It felt like home. Extremely clean not even dust bunnies, not just beautifully decorated almost everything had a story or told the history about Orange County, outstanding / friendly service. I enjoyed the breakfast while listing to music , I enjoyed all the details of the meal and she considered our food restrictions very gracefully. We will return for a longer stay next time. This is an exceptional facility, comfortably furnished, a screened in porch to relax on warm summer evenings, a well maintained pool, an extensive library of current movies and always has absolutely outstanding breakfasts! Joan is the most gracious hostess assisting with the needs of her guests. We have stayed here several times and have always found the service to be exceptional.

Very quiet and comfortable room with all the comforts of home. The food was delicious and the beautiful house has a friendly feeling. The cats gave an added charm to the old farm atmosphere.

A surprize 90th birthday party necessitated the gathering of many family members from out of town. What a joy to have a place right near the event for 6 family members to stay togethter and enjoy each other before hand as well as the morning of the event! Bed and bathRooms were warm and beautifully appointed--top-notch! Joan was a great hostess! Delicious, abundant breakfast food and cookie treats--even a Keurig for our favorite brews! She was attentive and delightfully conversational but also sensitive to just letting us enjoy each other. She was very accommodating of our schedules for arrival and departure. Would recommend this hidden gem as a great place to relax or a beautiful base to come back to after exploring the area. Susan J.

Extremely friendly place to stay! Felt right at home here. Beautifully decorated; delicious breakfasts; outstanding service; comfortable beds; many home-style accomodations; great location; very clean; definitly worth checking out if in Orange County!

we had a lovely stay at Buck's homestead In September. We came all the way from England. The room are large and clean, breakfast is imaginative and tasty, and Mrs. Buck is charming and helpful. Fully recommended!!

I have stayed at Buck's for the last 3 summers as I journey north with my horse to NH. He is cared for nearby and I feel spoiled by Joan's attention. Super comfortable beds, good breakfast, and friendly atmosphere.
