    Your own studio-apartment in historical centre. Prinx studios are situated in the Amsterdam historical city centre. Besides your own private bathroom, the studio has a living-dining area -with cooking facilities- and a bed area (double or twins). Prinx studios have been very recently renovated (2008), are situated within the Amsterdam historical city centre in a canal house at the canal Lijnbaansgracht and face either a quiet street or the canal Lijnbaansgracht. Most attractions are within walking distance. The Museums (Rembrandts and Van Gogh) are just 100 meter away from the house. While during the day a lively Amsterdam’s historical and cultural neighbourhood, the location is quiet. You will be surrounded by typical historical houses and the rest of the canals are just around the corner. The canal Spiegelgracht, 20 meters away from the house, is famous for its art galleries and antique shops. In the neighbourhood you can also find many breakfast cafes and restaurants. The studios are self-catered, no breakfast available. In your fridge, you will find a bottle of Catalan sparkling wine cava (and orange juice) as a welcome drink.

    Les studios Prinx se situent au centre historique de la ville d´Amsterdam dans une maison de canal dans le canal Lijnbaansgracht. La plupart des attractions se trouvent à quelques minutes de marche. La zone du musée: le Rijksmuseum (Galerie Nationale: Rembrandt parmi d´autres) et le musée Van Gogh se trouvent à peine à 100 mètres de la maison. La Station Centrale est facilement accessible par plusieurs lignes de tram. Alors qu´en journée c´est un quartier historique et culturel d´Amsterdam très animé, l´endroit est tranquille. Vous serez entouré de maisons typiques historiques et le reste de canaux se trouvent juste au coin de la rue. Le canal Spiegelgracht, à 20 mètres de la maison, est célèbre pour ses galeries d´art et antiquaires. Vous pouvez trouver aussi dans le quartier plusieurs cafés à petit-déjeuner et restaurants. Les studios ont été rénovés très récemment (2008) et donnent soit sur une rue tranquille, soit sur le canal Lijnbaansgracht. En plus de la salle de bain, chaque studio dispose d´une zone de salle de séjour/salle à manger -avec équipement de cuisine- et une zone à coucher. Sur demande nous pouvons préparer soit un lit double soit des lits jumeaux. Dans votre frigidaire, vous trouverez une bouteille de cava mousseux Catalan (et du jus d´orange) comme boisson de bienvenue.

    Excellent!

    We just stayed at Prinx Studio for a week and it was the perfect accamodation for us. I researched a ton online and finally found what I was looking for. From my initial inquiry, to the arrival instructions, the room overlooking the canal, the cost, the departure….everything was perfect. The neighborhood is near all of the museums, great restaurants, cafe's, Leidseplein, gallery's, shopping, bike rentals etc. What it's not near should certainly be within walking distance, it's Amsterdam after all. Ton & Héctor are great and are very helpful, knowledgable and they run a great, super clean place. I don't write these referrals as much as I should but this one was a must. I highly recommend Prinx Studio's.

    Wonderful Stay

    We stayed here for a week and had a delightful time. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean. The location was fabulous-as was the view of the canal outside our window. Ton and Hector were wonderful hosts-very kind and accomodating in answering a variety of questions we had. We would just say to others that there is no air conditioning here-though there is a fan. The room can get warm in very hot weather but really wasn't a problem most of the time we were there.

    Stayed here June 2009. Exceptionally clean, modern, cozy, and convenient! We stayed in 2 different apartments, one for 5 days at the beginning of our trip and the other on our way back through Amsterdam. Both were immaculate, very private, and great locations. Ton was super nice and we had a wonderful time. No hotel could match the coziness, cleanliness, and value of staying at Prinx. Wonderful if you have a particular diet and don't want to or can't eat out every meal. I would highly recommend them to anyone and can't wait to stay here again on our next visit!

    Excellent!

    We just stayed at Prinx Studio for a week and it was the perfect accamodation for us. I researched a ton online and finally found what I was looking for. The neighborhood is near all of the museums, great restaurants, cafe's, Leidseplein, gallery's, shopping, bike rentals etc. What it's not near should certainly be within walking distance, it's Amsterdam after all. Ton & Héctor are great and are very helpful, knowledgable and they run a great, super clean place. I don't write these referrals as much as I should but this one was a must. I highly recommend Prinx Studio's.

    Wonderful Stay

    We stayed here for a week and had a delightful time. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean. The location was fabulous-as was the view of the canal outside our window.     Stayed here June 2009. Exceptionally clean, modern, cozy, and convenient! We stayed in 2 different apartments, one for 5 days at the beginning of our trip and the other on our way back through Amsterdam. Both were immaculate, very private, and great locations. Ton was super nice and we had a wonderful time. No hotel could match the coziness, cleanliness, and value of staying at Prinx. Wonderful if you have a particular diet and don't want to or can't eat out every meal. I would highly recommend them to anyone and can't wait to stay here again on our next visit!

    "Couldn't be better"

    We loved staying at Prinx. Our charming room faced the canal. It was tastefully decorated and lit, quiet, immaculate and ample space for three of us. The blackout curtains made it easy to sleep in, despite 3 floor-to-ceiling windows. Hector and Ton gave us the privacy that we expected, checking on us briefly a couple of times to see if they could be helpful. They treat guests to a bottle of champagne on arrival. The kitchen was just what we wanted for preparing our own breakfast, and otherwise we ate out. Its location can't be beat: the Rijks- and Van Gogh Museums are 2 blocks away as are the trains to all parts of the city, and there are several markets nearby. Our only regret was not bringing a laptop with us since Internet cafes are hard to come by in the neighborhood. We'd gladly stay at Prinx again if we return to Amsterdam.

    Great value for my money

    Hector and Ton were wonderful hosts from the moment we arrived and we realized the 1st floor actually was on the upper level. They brought the luggage up the narrow stairs and escorted us to a great room overlooking the canal. The bath and kitchinette were inmaculate , new and comfortable. The location could not have been better, a couple of blocks from the main busy dining /shopping street and also very close to the main museums and canal bus/boat stop. It made it very easy to get around and see all the major attractions. We felt we were visiting friends not just staying at a B&B. Definite a place to recommend to anyone.

    Excellent place to stay - very clean, well decorated, comfortable and well located in a fairly quite canalside street but close to bars/restaurants and the tram. Would highly recommend staying here.

      Aéroport de Schiphol - La gare centrale est à 15 ou à 20 minutes en train. De l'aéroport, il y a quelques trains par heure qui vous emmènent en ville. Veuillez vous assurer de prendre un train à Amsterdam CS -Centraal Station- il y a beaucoup de stations appelées Amsterdam (.......) Une fois à la gare centrale, vous choisissez la vieille ville-le centre (entrée principale en face du tram ou des arrêts de taxis). Vous pouvez nous rejoindre en tram : numéros 1, 2 ou 5. Descendez à Leidseplein. Une fois à Leidseplein (une petite place vivante de la ville) vous prenez à gauche et longez le côté gauche d'un square allongé avec des arbres et vous passez devant quelques restaurants. Après environ 100 mètres, vous verrez le Lijnbaansgracht, un des canaux d'Amsterdam. Et après environ 200 mètres, toujours sur le côté auche, vous trouverez le numéro 289.

      Le TRAIN vous mènera de l´aéroport Schipol d´Amsterdam jusqu´à la Station Centrale d´Amsterdam en à peu près 20 minutes (environ eur 3.50 l´aller simple). Il y a plusieurs services toutes les heures. Un trajet en TAXI de l´aéroport prendra normalement 20 minutes et coûte environ eur 40.
