Expérience confortable élégance au coeur du quartier historique. Construit circa 1850 comme une maison de quatre chambres pour Benjamin et Eliza Ellis, l'auberge est en opération depuis 1985. Plusieurs ajouts ont été apportées à la maison, comme la famille Ellis a augmenté. Pendant la guerre civile, société K de la milice volontaire du Massachusetts 45ième occupés à la maison. La plus intéressante modification a été apportée circa 1900 quand la maison a été sawed dans la moitié, neuf pieds séparés, et une entrée distincte et un escalier a été installé pour construire deux logements. L'auberge offre sept chambres et trois suites, toutes avec salle de bains privée. La suite de Ellis Benjamin a une salle de séjour avec une taille de Reine affichés divan-lit et une chambre à coucher avec lit queen, taille canopée. Cette disposition est idéale pour les familles. La suite de Eliza romantique dispose d'un lit King, taille et doté d'un cœur en forme de Jacuzzi baignoire et douche, idéal pour une escapade romantique spéciale. Le William and Emily possède un lit queen, taille de quatre affiches et un cœur en forme de Jacuzzi baignoire et douche. Stayed in Room 3 with twin beds foot-to-foot. Small room but very comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. Ed and Sooki were very nice and attentive. New Bern is a great town to walk around and enjoy the outdoors, not just Tryon Palace and the Visitor Center.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Harmony House. It is well named!! Our room was spacious, the queen sized bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, interacting with other guests! That is the best part of a B & B experience! Ed and Sooki were so gracious and attentative to every detail of our stay.

We stayed over this past weekend and really found the inn to be comfortable and clean. Have stayed in a couple other B&Bs in the area and this one is now on top of our list.

Have stayed many times; the owners are very nice and accommodating. Never think of anywhere else when traveling to New Bern.

I stayed here with my husband for one night in September. We arrived early for check -in, but Alan allowed us to check in early, which was great as we were able to go off and explore New Bern a little before getting ready for dinner. As we checked in, he gave us a small map of the town, highlighting good places to eat and visit. We had room no 5 (If I remember correctly). It was a king sized bed. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated and we felt at ease. The bathroom was standard, bath with shower over, all very clean, lovely fluffy towels provided. It was great. Alan had informed us that there was a social hour - I think 6pm -7pm- so we got ready to go out to dinner and called into the sitting room tomeet the other guests. Wine was provided for guests and cheese and crackers. it was nice to sit and chat with others before going out into the town for dinner. Breakfast the next day was great. There were two large tables so we joined two other couples for a sociable chat. Breakfast was a help yourself affair, it was all delicious. I can't remember now what there was but it was sufficient to set us up for a nice Sunday morning strolling around the town. There was ample free parking around the back of the property. I would definitely recommend the Harmony House Inn to anyone visiting New Bern.

Very friendly owners and uncomplicated check-in, check-out procedure. Room furniture a bit stuffy but clean and tidy. Big plus was parking in the back of the property.

This was by far the best B&B on my trip to Eastern NC. The location is excellent and the Inn far exceeded my expectations.
