L'ancien lieu a été créé vers 1780 à 1801 et est une cabine avant la guerre civile totalement reconstruit. Beaucoup d'histoire et des artefacts guerre civile grands. Situé à seulement une 10e d'un mile de la route principale. La cabine comporte deux sections pour y inclure une cuisine, une grande chambre, 3 chambres, deux grandes cheminées en pierre avec des bûches à gaz, 2 1 / 2 salles de bains (bain à remous dans le bain maître). Il ya une grande véranda et un porche arrière projeté. Isolé, calme et paisible avec plusieurs sentiers de randonnée.

We booked The Old Place to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful surprise less than 5 miles from our home. Well off the beaten path, we felt we'd stepped back in time. We enjoyed walks in the woods and the gazebo at the pond. So peaceful, we hated to leave. A great way to get away and reconnect with each other and nature. We'll definitely be going again soon.

This is a wonderful place. It is quiet and peaceful. I wish there more pictures because it is way more than one would expect. If you are looking for solitude this is the place to go! Well off the "beaten track" but close enough to town. The history is amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we have already booked another stay!

The most peaceful, relaxing 3 days we've ever spent. The only sound we heard was that of nature, the restful squeek of the porch swing and the gentle slap of the screen door. A little slice of Heaven on earth. We will stay here the next time we come to North Carolina.
