Construit autour de 1870, Harbor Knoll est un pays avant l'eau gracieux maison. Construite dans le style colonial néerlandais. Il a été construit à l'origine comme un maison pour une famille riche du Sud de l'été. Depuis, il a été l'été de meuniers maison depuis 30 ans et ancien propriétaire inclus un ancien maire de Greenport et d'une nièce du général Custer. Le sens de maisons de luxe et de la facilité, plus les vues avant l'eau fantastique contribuent à la magnifique environnement relaxant. Situé sur harbor splendide de Greenport que la maison est atteint par une route privée. Situé sur un acre de jardins gracious c'est joliment aménagée et comprend un jardin herb victorienne. Regarder les bateaux naviguer par d'une chaise d'Adirondack sur la pelouse, détendez-vous sur une chaise sur la plage ou flâner à quai privé tout combiné pour assurer un sentiment d'être transportée dans un environnement différent. Lorsque vous pouvez vous-même tear éloigner la propriété marcher dans le charmant village de Greenport ou visitez l'un des plus de 25 vignobles locales

we were four couples for new years eve. the rooms are ok but the bedding was old and not fresh looking. the hospitality was minimal and the owner was more concerned about shutting lights and tv's while we were sitting and talking. she even gave instructions to lock up and lower the thermostat like we were working for her. the breakfast was a single plate with no choices and no seconds even if you wanted it. one piece of white bread toast on a plate, grape jelly in a dish. when we asked for ice it seemed to be an issue rather than just let me get it for you. we were promised champagne for a toast, instead we were told where we could go to buy some. overall a disappointing experience. the location is beautiful but not what you would expect from the B&B experience i am used to as a frequent and great fan of B&B's here and abroad.

What a location! We spent one delightful night at Habor Knoll over labor day... you could not ask for a better location, an easy walk from Greenport and all of their great restaurants. We sat on the huge chairs overlooking the harbor and watched the boats go by, we enjoyed wine and cheese (compliments of the friendly owners) in the evening, and we slept through breakfast (but others at the Inn raved). This B&B has a perfect balance of being welcoming (friendly conversation over cocktails on the porch) and letting you just hang out alone by the water to enjoy your vacation without having to meet new people. We can't wait to go back!! Final note-- the 3rd floor rooms have pretty low ceilings, but we're very tall and could still stand up. Next time we'll plan further ahead and try to get one with a harbor view.
