    Construit en 1894 pour la garde nationale, la famille Phemister converti cette armory 50 chambres uniques en leur résidence privée. En vedette sur Rezoned show du HGTV, le Château dispose de 50 chambres et couvre les 36 000 pieds carrés. Près de Saratoga et Cooperstown dans la pittoresque vallée d'agnier. Le vibe convivial et la présence historique rendent Amsterdam Château un régal pour les familles et les couples similaires. Shoot omégas dans le gymnase, salon sur les douves avant avec votre ordinateur, marcher pour dîner ou emprunter nos vélos pour la piste vélo d'Eric canal. Nous utiliser des fournitures de nettoyage uniquement respectueuses et servir la production agricole locale dès que possible pour un environnement durable.

    Great Hogwarts Birthday for son!

    My son turned eleven and for those of you who know the Harry Potter books, that's the birthday when wizards get their acceptance letters to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Yes, we could have gone to Florida for Universal and do the Harry Potter thing there, but we only had the weekend and we also wanted to do something more unique, so we found this castle. Let me tell you my son has never hugged me more in his life. He would just look up at me and say, "This is the best birthday ever!" He loved imagining living in this world and had an amazing time! The huge gym with all the gym equipment was perfect for my boys and the fact that the owners' sons came out and played made the stay even better! Wonderful breakfasts, very cozy beds. Lovely.

    Hospitality and Splendor fit for Royalty

    I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday last year (the idea was to make him "king for a weekend!") and we just adored it! Not to mention the owners are gracious decorators, hosts and chefs!! The rooms are spectacularly furnished. Famous presidents have dined and stayed here over the years. The upstairs room has incredible acoustics. We played some unplugged guitar and the sound was incredible. It was one of the best weekends we've ever had!!

    The castle was outstanding. Our accommodations were very clean and nicely appointed. Susan and Manfred could not have been any nicer or accommodating. They are both very knowledgeable about the town, it's history and the surrounding area. They went above and beyond expectations, even during very stressful circumstances. A tornado had touched down followed by a very bad thunderstorm which knocked out the power and they did everything they could to make us comfortable and safe. They also have a very nice family which made us feel very welcome. Thank you Susan and Manfred for a very nice and interesting stay.

    We were not sure what to expect but were delighted with the accomodations,the tour of the castle , the recommnedations for meals and for recommendations for things to do... the oweners were so very interesting to talk with.. couldn't have had a better erperience!!!

    Amsterdam Castle B&B

    The castle was very nice. The room we stayed in was The Officers Qtrs. Upon arrival we were met by Susan, she gave us a tour and offered their garage to park our motorcycle. The bed was comfortable and there was coffee maker, though there were no filters. The room was clean and the furnishings were nice. Susan recommended a nice restaurant down the street for supper. Be advised they only serve a continental breakfast and that was not up to par. The Inn keepers were not easily available. There was a situation that arose after we arrived, the town announced that the water would be shut off at 7:30am so Susan made us aware and offered a partial refund.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accomodations were wonderful and host Manfred was most congenial. It was very interesting to learn about local armories which played pivotal roles in the formation of militias and national guards. The Schroeders

    Room fit for a king and queen

    Susan and Manfred were amazing hosts greeting us as we pulled in, assisting with carrying our bags to the room and giving us a tour of the castle. The room was absolutely beautiful and extremely cozy and breakfast was delicious. My girlfriend and I still talk about the heated bed and how comfortable it was. We truly felt like a king and queen. I would definitely stay at the castle again. Highly recommended.

    Unique BandB Experience

    This BandB was a nice surprise to lodge in. Unique property with lots of history and Susan was very entertaining and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
