Nov 2009 NZ trip From Sydney, Australia à Sounds of Silence B&B (Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand)

5 Dernier avis le février 19, 2010

We travelled througout the South Island during the month of November, stayed at numerous B&B's and self accommodation apts/hotels. This was our 1st stop after a couple of nights in Wellington. What a sensational set up, you're on the road where you have access to the Queen Charlotte track. The room has stunning views of the water and it's own private deck. We particularly liked stepping into the hot tub, on the outer upper deck, nestled in the trees, over-looking the water. A great way to relax after a day of tramping. Jackie and Carey are both excellent hosts - the breakfast each day was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed an in-house dinner with them. The food and company was excellent! This place was the highlight of our trip. Strongly recommend that you try it. When we go back to NZ again, we will booking there again. Cheers Dave and Lucy

This was a real treat for us. - Beautifully furnished, large rooms, breakfast in a Grand Ballroom and a lovely short riverside walk in the attractive Nelson city center.

Amber House B&B, Nelson, New Zealand à AMBER HOUSE - at the centre! ™ (Nelson, New Zealand)

Old colonial hosue listed in Wikipedia. You won't need lunch or supper if you ahve one of their breakfasts 'cos host's hobby is ccoking. Delightful family and an easy walk to all teh stuff in Nelson (we visited teh Glassblowing and teh Lord of the Rings Jeweller that made THE RING). Only real drawback is you need to book 'cos they only take a max of 4 folks at a time. Website's AmberHouse.Info. And the fax number here is wrong - that's their private ex-directory number that I woke them up on!
