My wife and I have stayed with friends over a weekend the past two springs. The atmosphere around the Inn and Darlene make you feel right at home. Darlene is awesome and takes care of you and the food she prepares is fantastic! A wonderful place to stay!

My husband and I took a group of friends to Banner Elk and rented the entire Inn at Elk River (8 rooms). Everyone had their own room and private bathroom. It was very clean and the innkeeper, Darlene, was phenomenal! She saw to it that every need/want was met and was so friendly. We were able to take advantage of the cozy living room for evening cocktails and treats. This is, by far, the best "home away from home" atmosphere we've ever stayed. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Banner Elk!

I had such an amazing time when we stayed here. We came with a group of friends that rented each room in the inn. The staff was awesome and waited on us hand and foot! I cannot begin to tell you how clean and nice the rooms were. If you want a nice place, with good food and good service....this is the place for you!

My wife and I stayed at "The Inn at Banner Elk" during Valentine's Day weekend (Feb 14-17, 2013). We had a Wonderful time!!! The fireplace in our 2nd floor room (the Magnolia Room) stayed nice and cozy while we watch it snow the entire time we were there - BEAUTIFUL!!! The innkeeper, Darlene Calvert, made us feel sooooo welcome, Her breakfast's were too delicious to describe! We couldn't wait to see what she had cooked up each morning. She conversed with us whenever she came by. Great southern hospitality & helped us daily with dining reservations & attractions to attend/view. We'll be back SOON!
