We had never done a B&B before and thought we would give it a try. We very much enjoyed the grounds and our room was great.... but then I don't normally sleep in a 4-poster bed so am easily impressed The other guests were very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. We will be doing other B&B's in the future do to the great experience here.

My husband and I stayed at The Burn during our first visit to Natchez. The house is beautiful and the room we stayed in (Douglas Room) was very clean. The bed was SO comfortable. Nell was very nice and welcoming. She gave a thorough tour of the house and even gave us a map of downtown with recommendations of where to shop and eat. We chose The Burn because it was set back from the road and looked more secluded than some of the other B&B's. The room we stayed in was in a building adjacent to the house. The house sits on a beautiful two acre garden, all that remains from the original 100 acre homestead.

Nell is a wonderful hostess. She is knowledgable and helpful. She is perhaps the best hostess we have ebcountered on our vacation. All other staff was friendly too. Our room (Lucy) was beautiful and beds comfortable. The pool towels in bathroom nice. Pool was beautiful and refreshing. Breakfast was excellent. Cookies and music each evening in the parlor was an excellent touch. A must stay in Natchez.

We like very much the house and the beautiful pool, even with few chairs but nobody use it during our stay. However the breakfast was below the standard in the B&B in the USA, very good but very light, with no yogurt, no bread, jam served like in Holiday inn

Just spent a week at the wonderful Burn. My girlfriend and I always take a summer road trip and chose Natchez for this summer. I decided to include my 13 year old granddaughter and her best friend. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay! Nell was a gracious and accommodating hostess. The room was great (Lucy), the pool refreshing and the food delicious. Thanks for making us feel at home!!!

Lucky us to experience "The Burn" as our very first Bed & Breakfast visit. Nell welcomed us and we knew we were where we needed to be. The room, the tour, the breakfast and the gracious Nell gave us much to share with others. We will be back and we will bring company with us.

Southern living at its finest. Nothing compares to The Burn Experience! A true class act: beautifully kept grounds, pristine house, wonderful service, and tasty southern cooking. Will return in the future without a doubt!

Stayed here during Spring pilgrimage. I had read the book about the house and enjoyed the tour and the actual photos of the original owners in the home. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The gardens are beautiful in the Spring. The other guests were very friendly. The only comment is that parking is a little limited especially during pilgrimage when the house is on tour. Is a good location as it is right in town. Would return there.

We spent a wonderful thanksgiving at the Burn last month. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and the history and furnishings are fabulous.
A garden floor dream suite, the Lucy features two twin beds as well as a king half tester and a dressing area. The suite is across the hall from the common area and the dining room and features a bathroom with a tub and overhead shower. The Lucy also is the only room in the main house that is just a few light steps from the pool.
Also on the ground floor, the Douglas entices you with a four-poster tester queen in a garden-level room full of charm and history. With its ground-level location, you’re just a few fleet steps from breakfast, the garden and the ongoing sway of The Burn and its history.
Downstairs the charm continues. In the Clara, you’ll enjoy a four-poster tester. And on a pleasant, alluring night, you can drift outside to enjoy the Burn’s covered patio and our private courtyard. The large bath features a tub with a shower overhead and the windows offer a generous view of our lovely garden.
This delicious suite overlooks the garden from the second floor. The room sleeps three comfortably, with a twin bed in one area and a queen half tester in the other. The bathroom is newly renovated with a shower. While your bask in the comfort of the room, remember to notice and window pane were the Walworth’s son, Douglas, etched his name in the glass. A precocious childhood act that is now a part of history.
This spacious room is on the second floor of The Garçonnière, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful formal garden. In the garden below, the oldest fountain in the region trickles soothingly. Like all of our rooms, The Laura is exquisitely furnished with antiques. On the ornate king size bed you will find sheets and pillow cases of high thread count finest Egyptian cotton, as well as down pillows and comforter.
