  • The Harbor Room features antique brass queen bed, walk-in closet, desk and dresser, and pretty view of the harbor. Private bath across the hall with claw-and-ball-foot tub and "french telephone" type shower.
    The Green Room features wrought-iron queen bed, large closet, desk and dresser, and attached private bath with shower.
    The Oak Room features oak hardwood floor, wrought-iron queen bed, large closet, desk and dresser,and a view of the harbor. There is room for a daybed for one additional person. Private attached bath with oak wainscoting.

    Entièrement rénové maison de 120 ans. Petit déjeuner choisi par plusieurs disponible sur base de rotation. Internet disponible dans l'ensemble. Vaste bibliothèque disponible pour une utilisation de l'invité. Bains privées. Proche de la salle à manger, port, sentiers de randonnée. Nous avons vécu et vacances dans la région de Mt. Desert Island pendant de nombreuses années et seront heureux de vous faire partager notre connaissance du parc et de ses environs.

    We were among the first guests to stay at this newly opened B&B and greatly enjoyed our stay there. The bedrooms and bathrooms have all recently been refurbished so everything is pristine. Don, the host, was extremely helpful in guiding us to good places to take walks and to restaurants. He is very outgoing and full of interesting information about the area. The breakfasts were custom cooked and there was lots of variety to choose from -- including crab benedict one morning. We would definitely stay here again another time.

    The proprietor Don was welcoming, accommodating, and helpful so we were able to make the most of our short stay on Mt. Desert Island. The house was very clean and homey. We are happy we stayed there.

      From the airport, go south on I-95. Turn S on I-395, continue on as it becomes ME Rte 1A towards Ellsworth. Rtes 1 & 3 join from the right as you enter Ellsworth (approx. 26 miles.) Follow Rte 1 through Ellsworth, continuing straight onto Rte 3 (Rte 1 turns left.) As you cross Thompson Island (at Visitors' Center) and enter Mount Desert Island, Rte 3 forks left and Rte 102 goes straight ahead - follow Rte 102. Pass through the villages of Town Hill and Somesville, on to Southwest Harbor. Total distance from Ellsworth to Southwest Harbor is approximately 22 miles. Pass through Southwest Harbor, passing the head of the harbor on your left; just past the harbor, turn left onto Rte 102A. Follow 102A approximately 0.7 miles to The Lodge-ings.
