  • Situated on a 17-acre award-winning tree farm, this 1830s Bed & Breakfast is located just 12 miles east of Providence, Rhode Island. Guests enjoy the hearty breakfasts, quiet atmosphere, charm of the house and surrounding stone walls, stable and friendly horses. The B&B has been host to many retreats, workshops and themed weekends. Other activities include cooking classes with a local chef, Victorian Teas and Craft Fairs. Hostess Jeanne Gilbert has been showing New England hospitality at the B&B for 21 years.

    Choisissez deux lits jumeaux ou un lit King dans cette chambre avec tapis tressés sur sols remontant vers les années 1830. Profitez de conversation en face d'un foyer de travail. Faire tremper jusqu'au soleil de trois grandes fenêtres avec leurs volets tiny, waverly.     La ferme des années 1830 entière est conçu avec de confort des invités à l'esprit. Cinq chambres pittoresques sont fournis avec des antiquités. Deux ont des bains privés avec foyers.     Fantastic!

    We only stayed for one night, but we loved it. The house was beautiful, the neighborhood was peaceful and lent itself to a lovely walk, and the hosts were charming. The room was very clean and nice, and the breakfast was delicious. A great value!

    Wonderful B&B

    We only stayed overnight but were treated like "old friends". They were very accommodating even when we couldn't give them an exact arrival time. I would definitely stay there again.

    A very welcoming place for our family visit

    My wife, son, and I stayed with the Gilberts for a few nights over the holidays while visiting relatives in the area. Jeanne and Don welcomed us into their house and made us comfortable the entire stay. The house is located on a little traveled road, that turns out to be fairly close the highway, shopping, and dining, but you'd never know when you're at the house. They even took us to a local forest and led us on a very nice long walk through the woods of southern New England. We stayed in the 2nd floor "suite" where we had a very private area all to ourselves, and were able to come and go without bothering the other guests. Jeanne and Don served us hearty breakfasts every day and were available with advice and recommendations on local activities. We also found the Mind Body Barre yoga studio right around the corner where we were able to keep up our practice while on the road. We'll be back with Jeanne and Don the next time we're in the area.

    Loved Gilbert's B&B but loved Jeanne & Don even more!!

    My girlfriends and I stayed here last month and what a delightful pleasure! Jeanne & Don were so warm and inviting while at the same time giving us space to enjoy ourselves. One evening our group was careful to tip-toe around after returning to the B&B after a night out on the town, hoping not to wake Jeanne & Don. Only, we learned the next morning, over a delicious French Toast breakfast, that they weren't even there. They were painting the town red until well after midnight!! Will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area!! Nora (a new New Englander, transplanted from the deep South)

    Fantastic!

    I had the most enjoyable stay. Jeanne and Don are wonderful hosts and so easy to get to know. Their home is comfortable and quiet and you just relax as soon as you are in the door. The breakfast they served was delicious and the perfect start to my Thanksgiving Day. Suellen Leugers

    Sweet, personable hosts

    Lovely, historic farm house with super-comfortable king-sized bed and luxurious bedding. Clean and shiny in every corner. Comfortable sitting area. Delicious, moderate-sized breakfast served on interesting older, dishes in a light-filled eat-in kitchen. Hosts are very attentive and responsive and wonderful conversationalists. They really enjoy hosting their guests. Only drawback was a result of the older architecture: thin walls and doors allowed conversation of other guests to be heard in our bedroom. We plan on returning. we've made new friends.
