We visit Provincetown annually for a long weekend during the quiet Spring season. The only place we would ever stay is Gabriel's. The Innkeepers - Elizabeth & Elizabeth - are both warm and friendly, making us feel like family. The Inn has a Great Room where a fabulous breakfast is served by the lovely staffmembers each morning. In addition to yogurt, muffins, danish, cereal and fruit, there is always a hot breakfast (omelet, waffles, pancakes) - made to order. And if you need a midday pick-me-up, there are homebaked cookies on hand. Yummy.
Because the Inn is on Bradford Street, one block behind the town's major thoroughfare (Commercial Street), things are quiet at night - perfect for a restful sleep. Of course it's still plenty close so that all dining, bars and attractions are a very short stroll away. Rooms are comfortable, beautifully appointed and spacious. And, if you're not into the nightlife, they have an extensive DVD library for viewing on the state-of-the-art flatscreen TVs (some rooms even have them in the bathroom!).
This is a wonderful, wonderful place. I cannot say enough good things about it.
Warm and inviting luxury, relaxed and comfortable environment, wonderful owners and welcoming staff. More than pet friendly, Gabriel's at Ashbrooke Inn provides all the creature comforts for all its visitors. As its located near the hub of Ptown culture and public transportation, one can park the car and not see it again until its time to pack up and leave. It is a place to which I and my dog will return time and time again.
My wife and I stayed in this B & B two evenings. Everything about this place is wonderful. Great service and very nice people. The breakfast staff was so accomodating and pleasant. A real treat.
We stayed in "Willow". The room is spacious and very clean. The shower was great w/ many shower heads. There is a kitchen area w/ a fridge and sink which would be great if we were staying longer. We stayed only one night, off season so it was very quiet. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The only drawback is the clock (on the Town Hall?) gonging out the hours throughout the night and wee hours of the morning. If you are a light sleeper it can be a problem.
Other guests have commented on the Ashbrooke Inn's propinquity to restaurants (e.g. Jimmy's Hideaway, Lobster Pot) and that was definitely a plus, for, for my boyfriend and me, it was a wonderful escape. We stayed at the Inn in April and I rather liked how quiet P-town was. The room was fabulous. The Elizabeths and Chris were lovely hosts. I've stayed at a few B & B's in the past and what set this place apart from the others is the second "B." At others, the breakfast was satisfactory but not filling, or there were very good options but you could only choose one. (On vacation, I like the "more is more" philosophy behind eating.) At the Ashbrooke Ine, you can get the eggs and the pancakes and the waffles and the yogurt with the granola. It's really the small details like how much one can eat that pushes a place from "exceeds from expectations" to "outstanding." There were others there who were celebrating their anniversaries, and they had been going back to the Ashbrooke Inn every year for many years. My bf and I plan to do the same. Thank you, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, and Chris! -Kristine
We made a last minute trip to the Cape last week and chose to stay at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn. The staff, the room, the grounds and the breakfast were among the very best I've experienced in Provincetown. Traveling with a dog is often difficult, but our stay was made so much the better for the thoughtful way in which Gabriel's accommodates all members of one's traveling family. I recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a great stay in Provincetown.
I titled this review as such because I am a die har glad d New Yorker an. d sometimes I mistrust earnest people. But the family who runs Gabriels are down to earth and very accommodating. The breakfast they serve in the morning!? INCREDIBLE. ONLY time ive ever been glad i got up early enough for a hotel breakfast!
The rooms are clean and cozy and the grounds are beautiful. It was a quick stay with no real time to explore, spring and summer would be the best time to visit and get a full appreciation of the inn.
Gabriel's is a first class inn. The entire experience; charm, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, ambience, cleanliness, food and quality was what I look for in an inn. We look forward to returning!

I really enjoyed my stay at Gabriel's at the Ashford Inn. It is so conveniently located near all the main attractions in Provincetown. The staff is super friendly, everything is extremely clean and the room was fantastic. The bed was so confortable I just wanted to stay there the whole time, but the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was also calling my name at al times. The fire place and the small kichenette were also awesome for the champaigne and the cheeses we brough. My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway.
I enjoyed staying here off-season. Nice breakfast, good sized rooms, and excellent location. Jets in bathtub didn't work, but other than that, in good repair.
Friendly, comfortable, accomodating, and definitely relaxing. This was our first stay at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn. The two Elizabeth's are warm and engaging and extremely helpful. Our room had a fabulous queen size tempurpedic mattress, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and many other lovely features. We can't wait to go back!!
Gabriel's is an excellent choice for visitors to Provincetown -- perfect location one block away from the heart of "downtown" making everything absolutely walkable, super friendly people (staff AND guests), an excellent breakfast (far and away THE best cinnamon scone ever!), immaculate rooms with all amenities, and a stunning garden/courtyard (even in winter!).
We stayed in the Olivia room at Gabriel's. Having never been to a B&B before we were unsure of what to expect. Upon entering our room the Olivia we knew we made a GREAT choice! The room was perfectly decorated for a homey feel and the electronic amenities made it all the more better. There is a flat screen TV in the bath, perfect for when you use the jacuzzi tub. The next morning was the topping on the cake for us. We had planned to go for breakfast before we left Ptown. Our first thought was Fanizzis but we decided to check out the continental breakfast provided. Wow I was really surprised to find it was the perfect place for breakfast. They offered fresh scrambled eggs and pancakes as well as your typical continental breakfast and they provided a tray to bring it back to our room.
The room and location was ideal for our stay. Our dog also loved the treats, and dog bed that was waiting for him when we got there. We can not wait to come back and stay again.
Thanks for everything.
We Love Everything about Gabriel's. The rooms are large and clean. We stay in the Susan roon out back thru the court yard. All it takes is one stay and you will be hooked like us!! See you there......
Stayed there for our one year anniversary and it was wonderful. You get what is advertised and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan on making this our number one place to stay when we visit Provincetown.
We recently stayed in Hope for our 1st visit at Gabriel's drawn there by the ideal location and inviting room with fireplace and fabulous window! We were not disappointed when we arrived, we absolutely loved the entrance to our room right on Bradford Street and were extremely happy when we opened the door. Hope is adorable, comfortable and sooo cozy...our only disappointment was the lack of a bathroom sink, although understandable due to size restrictions we prefer a bathroom sink for brushing etc...however that did not take away from the absolute charm of the room. The staff was very accomodating and we thought Christopher was wonderful. His movie recommendation on our first night was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful as well...the staff was very pleasant and the omelette was incredible (just wish they had homefries/hashbrowns)...delicious breakfast in the great room. As for location, we never needed our Jeep, it stayed parked along side town hall within view of our room, while we took the minutes walk to town. Headed back to our room after a day in town and to our extreme pleasure found the outdoor firepit lit..what a treat!! Loved that...then back to our comfy room for another movie (from Gabriels extensive selection) by the fireplace...we left knowing we will definitely be back...
This was my first time experiencing a B & B and being from Atlanta I was not expecting such hospitality in the north. The stay, staff and the room were all amazing. I stayed in the Laurel and the room exceeded my expectations. This was a portion of my Valentine's Day gift and I was completely satisfied. I will most certainly return and have already shared the webpage with friends and co-workers back home in Atlanta, GA. Although, I was a thousand miles from home the warm staff and lovely rooms made me feel at home. Thank you for the beautiful experience.
The staff and owners of Gabriel's can't do enough for you. Very friendly and go all out to please guests. The breakfast is fantastic. Met some real nice folks over breakfast each morning and really enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay here so much. There was a sense of community but also privacy and a feeling of having a private entrance. Someone was always available to help with anything we needed, and breakfast was particularly relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend Gabriel's for New Year's, when we were there. It was convenient and delightful. I would hesitate to stay here during the high season when it might seem to be at the crossroads of the Cape. The Elizabeths and Christopher and staff are wonderful and you couldn't do better for hospitality and facilities. Specific applause for the shower!
We had a wonderful weekend and holiday as guests at Gabriel's. Elizabeth, Elizabeth and staff went out of their way to meet our needs and make our stay enjoyable.
The location is top notch, breakfast was awesome! Any problems with our room were addressed and rectified immediately.
We'll be back!
The room was spectacular! Stayed to show a friend the Cape for New Years, and this inn made the trip. Most of the time, we only left the room for food, and going out to walk the beaches, both of which were simple walks from the inn, being located right behind the town hall.
This was such an absolutely fabulous, charming place to stay. Because our stay was in the off-season in December, I was able to afford a larger suite than I would in the summer. I brought my mother for her first visit to Provincetown, and we couldn't have been happier with Gabriel's. The property is beautiful, and right in the heart of the town, so convenient to all the shopping and galleries. Our suite was spacious and just perfect. One of the favorite things about it was the gas fireplace connected to the wall thermostat. The jacuzzi tub and tricked out shower were nice as well. Breakfast each morning was delicious and hot cider and cookies in the afternoon were a treat. A highlight of each day for me was discussing Will Ferrell comedies with Christopher in the DVD lending library. I would love to stay at Gabriel's again and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Stayed here for my honeymoon which was also the "Holly Folly" weekend and had such a great time. Gabriel's is a magical place. The courtyard is gorgeous and even though it was December we were still able to sit out by the fire pit for a night cap. The innkeepers were very friendly and the food was excellent. Breakfast was amazing; waffles, eggs, home made granola, pastries, bagels, you name it. They even had a little fridge for soy & almond milk, and there was always some sort of tantalizing sweet out for the taking in the great room. The room was very clean and well appointed. We stayed in the "Quan Yin" room and there was a great balcony overlooking the courtyard. The innkeeper joked that we had the "Evita" view. Not a huge fan of the bed but I guess that's just a personal preference, it's a tempurpedic which I thought I would enjoy but found it to be a bit uncomfortable. The jacuzzi tub, fireplace, skylight, balcony & kitchenette were definite pluses though. The location can't be beat! Being downtown and only one street away from Commercial was great. Also, the view of the Pilgrim Monument from the inn is amazing, it was all lit up like a Christmas tree for the holidays and made for a nice backdrop to it all. I think the only small downfall is parking. There is a little spot by the office for unloading/loading, but that's it. They offer parking for a fee but I believe the spots are a little walk from the inn. Because we went in the off season, we were able to park in one of the municipal lots for free and didn't have trouble finding a spot, I would assume it probably best to pay for a spot in the summer. As part of the "Holly Folly" festivities we participated in the inn stroll and were able to check out a few other places. I can confidently say Gabriel's was probably the homiest and nicest places we could have chosen. We will definitely be returning!!!
We spent several days in Provincetown recently. Our stay at Gabriels was everything we hoped for and more! The staff is so accomodating and helpful. My partner and I were married while there, we had our ceremony in the Great Room. Christopher was so sweet and took some wonderful photographs for us! Upon arrival at Gabriels you immediately feel genuinely welcomed and as though you are with friends. We stayed in Willow. The room was comfy & clean and the shower was divine! It is the perfect location, just a short stroll to nearly everything. We are already making plans to return next year! Thank you to the entire Gabriels staff for helping make our wedding & honeymoon so wonderful!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We were honored to be your hosts for your wedding - what a beautiful ceremony in our Great Room! Please email us some pictures and we hope to see you again soon.
A perfect stay at Gabriel's . . .
During Thanksgiving week a friend and I stayed at Gabriel's in Provincetown. Although it was off-season, plenty of shops, galleries and restaurants were open to provide for an engaging week. And since Gabriel's is located right in the center of town, everything was easily available to us.
But Gabriel's itself is so wonderful that we wanted to spend lots of time there as well. Our room was charming and very comfortable and, while being quite large, it is appointed so ideally that it is also very cozy. And, the bath accommodations are unbelievable including a whirlpool Jacuzzi tub with a steam sauna rainfall shower system including 9 adjustable jets. And we also enjoyed a swing on our balcony overlooking the garden which includes nooks of seating areas along with an open rock fire and a peaceful buddha sculpure intermingled throughout the foliage.
Also the Inn makes available a large Great Room which is very comfortable and where games and books are provided for entertainment. It's a great place to spend time in front of the fireplace (even though I did lose a chess match there).
And I can't leave out that the entire staff at Gabriel's is wonderful ! At all hours they are welcoming and in good spirits and always a pleasure to happen to cross paths with.
So, we give Gabriel's our unqualified, enthusiatic recommendation. And to all at Gabriel's, once again, thank you for such a perfect visit !
Renee and Julia
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] WE are so happy that you took advantage of everything we had to offer at Gabriel's including Chess! Thank you for this great review and we hope to see you both again soon!
Everything was wonderful including the free demonstration by the town emergency services with their quick response to the fire alarm. Would have liked to see them save the cookies but thats ok........ See you next year.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] YES!!! How funny was that! We burn cookies, and the entire fire department of Provincetown is here in 4 minutes! Everyone had a good chuckle and we even heard that the burnt cookies found a new home on someones tree as an ornament!
The rooms, beautiful, clean, very comfortable. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast was excellent. I would not stay anywhere else but Gabriel's
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] The great thing about Gabriel's is one can be private since so many rooms have their own entrance to the outside world and guests can also take their breakfast to their rooms if they prefer OR come to our Great Room to meet us and all the other wonderful people who stay at our inn!
The women who own and run Gabriel's take the time to get to know their guests and provide the personal touch to make every stay a pleasure. They go out of their way to meet individual needs. A wonderful place to stay.
What a great time! The room was so clean you could practically eat off the floor, no kidding! The staff was wonderful, the grounds were spectacular & our room was phenominal! We look forward to our next trip!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Thank you so very much for this review! We hope to see you again soon!
I came here without knowing much about the B&B mainly because they were pet-friendly. Turns out this place is not only pet-super-friendly, but super-people-friendly as well. The rooms were absolutely fantastic, from the incredibly confortable beds to the luxurious spa-showers and tubs.
The staff couldn't be more friendly and kind. The breakfasts were outstanding as well. We had come planning on staying for one night and ended up having to stay for two because it was just that great. I recommend Gabriel's most strongly!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] It is wonderful to read about your experience- we hope that next time you will stay for a week!!
We had a relaxing and memorable Thanksgiving weekend at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn. Our room was very comfortable and sparkling clean, room service was outstanding, and we could not have wished for a better location. Gabriel's is a perfect place for lesbian couples visiting Provincetown.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We loved having you visit us and we hope to see you in 2012!
Wonderful place to stay. We had a room with burners and needed an extra pot - they loaned us one. Really nice staff, really great breakfasts. Love the location in the center of town since you can walk everywhere and don't need to drive to dinner.
We've stayed here several times and are never disappointed. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and homey, yet well appointed, and the breakfast is worth getting up for. If you are looking for the perfect quiet oasis in the heart of PTown, this is it!
When most of the B&B's either did not accept one night stays or were closed for the season, Gabriel's took our reservation. It is now my all-time favorite place! The rooms are sparkling with thoughtful details, comfy beds (tempurpedic) and clean bathrooms. Although they describe their breakfast as "continental" (because we stayed off season), they had a chef that was making eggs, breakfast meats and blueberry pancakes in addition to the pastries. They even had vegan choices like soy milk and fruits. Even a yougurt and granola bar! The entire staff bent over backwards to make you feel welcome and it was a very friendly atmosphere. Great value for the money. We are planning to go again in the spring. This is a must-stay place perfectly located to enjoy all that Commercial Street has to offer. Well done!
This is my 3rd stay at Gabriels- so I knew what to expect- consistent cleanliness, service and value. They are very accommodating. We had to leave early each morning for work so never experienced the breakfasts.
Beyond amazing rooms. My partner and I stayed in Laurel (we were upgraded- so nice!) and we loved it. Private, lovely town, incredible bath jacuzzi. We snagged a Yelp deal and so the room was a song. An incredible dream after our New England road-trip.
My fiance and I wanted to go to Cape Cod to celebrate my b-day and Veterans Day. We decided on Gabriels because they are pet friendly. It was so amazing we decided to stay an extra night. Our little dog was very disappointed to leave Gabriels! As were we. We've decided to make it a tradition and go down to Gabriels every year!
Rooms are small, and whenever the next room uses ths shower you hear it very strongly..
The staff is super friendly, and the breakfast was awesome!!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We are very sorry that your room with us was less than stellar. We do have many different sizes of rooms with the smallest being the one you stayed in (it is also the most inexpensive). Most of our rooms are generous in size and we do post the size of each one of our rooms on our website. If a room is not comfortable we welcome the chance to show our guests other rooms that they might like better. As for the shower, we need to look into how we can soundproof better. We want you to be happy! We are also puzzled that you felt the service, value and cleanliness was off and wish you had let us know the issues during your stay. We strive to do our best and will make changes easily. best regards, Elizabeth
We couldn't have been happier with the experience at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn in Provincetown. The room was large, bright and tastefullt decorated. Very comfortable and clean. Ameneties were well thought out. Elizabeth and Elizabeth couldn't have been nicer hosts The landscaping around the inn is charming and they are conveniently located to everything in Provincetown. The feature that was most amazing was the size of the bathrooms, they were huge compared to the norm in ptown! The double headed shower totally rocked. We will definitely be back and can't recommend them highly enough.

Cape Cod's BEST B&B; heck the best B&B in the US of A!
From the moment we arrived our stay was perfect. Normally after ten days away from home, most people are ready to go home. Not so at Gabriel's. The entire staff goes out of their way to ensure the guests are comfortable and have everything they need. A most delicious breakfast every morning was made to order by the wonderful Gina and Kay. Christopher is a great host as well, working very hard to help all of the guests. We are repeat guests and will be making reservations to visit again soon!
My partner and I have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast several times over the past 24 years. It evolves over time into such classic elegance which is graced by warmth, hospitality and serenity. Centrally located to all in-town shops/restaurants/galleries/etc yet tranquil enough to read a book, take a nap or jacuzzi. Best inn I've ever had the pleasure to stay at!!
An amiable staff, superb location, fantastic cooked-to-order breakfasts, charming and whimsical grounds. The owners' impeccable tastes shine through everywhere. A thoroughly beautiful piece of property. Pricey, but worth every penny. A place to which we look forward to returning.
We stayed for 4 days and would go back again. Actually, we did go back, as we were originally supposed to stay for 4 days in August, but had to leave early because of Hurricane Irene. The Elizabeths gave us credit and so we were able to return in Oct. for Women's Week. Our favorite room is still the first one we stayed in--Quan Yan--but Agatha Christie was charming in its own way. The breakfasts are bountiful and prepared to order, with lots of delicious choices. Tea and coffee available all day, as well as cookies and muffins. The courtyard is inviting and we just wanted to sit there and relax. Gabriel's is so centrally located in PTown that you never have to worry about being exhausted by trekking back to your inn. Loved our stay. Made to feel very welcome.
Had a lovely stay at Gabriel's. The location in the center of Provinctown is ideal. The room was very clean and having a stove, fridge and microwave was a money saver when it came to meals. I can't say enough about the owners and staff ... pleasant and very accomodating. Breakfast was phenomenal. We will definitely return!
We were lucky enough to find Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn and luckier a room was available on such a busy week. The location is perfect just steps away from everything. We will be planning a follow up get-a-way and we will be staying here again.
Room, cleanliness was appropriate to the cost of the stay in Gabriels.
The breakfast and all-day service in refreshments, the large DVD library and the friendlyness of staff though exceeded our expectations.
This was our first trip to Provincetown during women's week. Gabriel's staff and great location made us feel at home. What a great way to start the day with a fabulous breakfast made by Jean, along with sharing coffee and laughter with the guests at the Inn as well as their wonderful pets. We will definitely be back to stay, hopefully sooner than later.
It is a nice place to relax. The rooms are very nice and the bed is fantastic....we had the Willow apartment.
The breakfast is included and better than I expected....fresh and rich!
We enjoyed our stay at Gabriel's, located in the center of town, just adjacent to the newly refurbished Town Hall. Although we slept in too late for breakfast service, there were leftover muffins and coffee available all day. Other favorite amenities: In room jacuzzi (Jane Goodall), mini fridge in the kitchen had single serve soy and almond milk (chocolate and vanilla!) and cookies were waiting for us when we came in late at night. I usually avoid bed and breakfast lodging - but Gabriel's will be my first choice the next time I visit Provincetown.
Our room in the attic (Agatha Christie suite) was lovely...and the fresh baked goodies in the main dining room were always plentiful and ready for us to gobble up! Overall, the hospitality at Gabriel's was warm and inviting.
Lovely B & B with a central location one block from Commercial Street in Provincetown. Check in was easy, the space was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. As a straight middle aged couple we felt welcomed and comfortable on site. I would recommend and would stay there again.
Gabriels is just steps away from Commercial street, yet is quiet and tucked away. The location couldn't be better, and our room was ENORMOUS, and came with an amazing shower and the world's fastest WiFi, which is a huge help when you need to send a file to someone quickly and get back to your vacation. You don't get the sense of space being at a premium the way you do elsewhere in town. The breakfast is so much nicer than that of many other b&b's we've stayed at, and the folks at Gabriel's thought of absolutely everything, including the almond milk that nobody else ever offers. We felt very welcomed and taken care of and we will definitely be coming back.
Check in was rather impersonal by "Christopher", the innkeepers son, who never even said, "Welcome to the Inn" or "Have a nice stay". Also, I accidentally left a folder of mine on the front desk, and although they luckily kept it, they never told me it was there and I went crazy looking for it until I finally checked there. One last negative, on our last night there was a motor running underneath the room that kept us up. But everything else was fantastic. Both Elizabeths (the Innkeepers) were friendly and interested in pleasing us, the breakfasts prepared by Jean were incredible, our room ("Susan") was wonderful and had everything you could possibly want, the location couldn't be beat, they were fantastically dog friendly yet it didn't feel like a "dog" room (it was clean and perfect), there was coffee and tea always available, and free parking for the inn a block away. I would highly recommend it.
Couldn't find a better place to stay! Will def. be going back!
Found this place on-line. One of the best features was that they allow 2 night stays vs the required 3 nights at many other locations. The rooms and service were beautiful. Upscale amenaties but still has that cozy feel. I must stay!
I spent one night in the Hope suite at Gabriel's. The room is teeny tiny but has everything I needed - a big comfy bed, a nice TV, big windows with lots of light, even a kitchenette. Linens and towels were nice and the amenities basket was really niceThe breakfast that came with the room was great - not just the usual continental breakfast. We ordered omelettes and there were even homemade, freshly baked strudels and danishes. A couple of things about the room itself - it's located directly on a busy road that has traffic all day and all night so if you sleep lightly, that could be an issue. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a sink, so you brush your teeth and wash your face in the kitchen sink. There is a mirror there as well so it didn't inconvenience me, but I thought it was worth a mention. And the shower is really small - maybe 20" square - so if you are on the bigger side like I am, it's a tight squeeze. All in all, a nice room for a good price in a great location.
Were happy to get a reservation with a pet on short notice. We booked just two nights after Labor Day. Great location, nice property. We did not take advantage of breakfast, but it smelled great when we checked out. We would stay at Gabriel's again.
despite one of these hurricanes washing out the vacation, the saving grace was Gabriel's. I can't remember when i was ever so comfortable away from home. The icing on the cake was Jean. She is a hoot and a hell of a hostess! Her "kitchen sinks", eggs with everything thrown in from mushrooms and spinach to sausage and feta, it was breakfast heaven. We stayed in "susan" with our two chihuahuas, our king sized tempur-pedic and a big screen tV.
As one reviewer noted, it would have been nice to have coffee, cream and sugar in the room. There was a keurig machine but just one little K-cup of decaf and no other supplies. It was an odd exception given all the other amenities. we would certainly return.
The room was exceptional clean, nicely appointed, and provided all the ammenities, Coffee,Microwave, TV/cable . The staff was above he standards, helpful, sincere and outgoing to ensure tha the stay was rewarding. The dining
was prompt, a wide selection for breakfast and cooked to the requestors taste. My compliments to the Elizabeths and also the cook whose name I did not get regretfully. Overall there is no hestitation to book a room at Gabriel's in the future..
One of the most charming, hospitable places I've ever stayed. The hostess and staff were accomodating and genuinely friendly. Gabriel's proves pet friendly can be luxurious. Atticus Finch and I will return to this lovely, private home away from home B&B.
We went for our honeymoon and the staff, room, breakfast buffet were outstanding. So relaxing. We will definately be back next year!!! Thanks Gabriels for making our honeymoon so special.
Wow! This is a great place to stay! The bed was comfortable and clean, but I would have liked fresher pillows. The bathroom was tiny but functional. Our room had a small kitchenette with coffee maker, dishes, refrig and microwave. The breakfast was awesome! The "chef" cooked a meal to order as well as many choices of cereals, yogurt, fruits, drinks, coffee, tea, milk, you name it. We had access to the "great room" and snacks anytime. It is located centrally and parking is up the road but has easy access. It's a very friendly place. I forgot to mention we had a room on the main street and it was quiet at night! Stay here!
We have not had the best experiences at B & Bs but this was an exception. Great room - spacious, comfy bed, sound system, little amenities that make the stay special like chocolates. Breakfast was a treat. Jean, the cook, customized the breakfast each morning as well as offered a healthy eating bar and pastry bar each morning. Excellent stay.
My room was clean & the space was adequate. It was a laid-back environment w/ good sheets & nice amenities. I suppose "value" is a relative term -- I think everything in P-town is over-priced. I was glad I was alone; if I'd had a romantic weekend planned it would have been embarrassing as the walls were really thin. I did not have shampoo the first night/morning but received it after asking. Great location.
The entire staff is great! They really know how to extend the warmth of home at their Inn. The fresh, homemade omelets and either pancakes or waffles are not to be missed. Their breakfast is not a few bagles and cereal boxes. The location is ideal.
I had a fantastic trip to Provincetown this past weekend. The staff, services, and rooms at Gabriel's were amazing and what made the weekend even better was the location. This Inn is located right in the middle of town, but you'd never know it with how quiet the Inn is. The grounds are beautiful and the owners are always around mingling with the guests. It was a truly wonderful weekend.
Everything was great - staff and innkeepers were friendly and helpful. The Great Room is a wonderful place to meet and talk with others. The grounds are lovely and the location can't be beat. No musty smell to room which is so different from so much of Provincetown. Breakfast was fantastic.
Gabriele's is amazing! The rooms are super clean, completely modern and renovated, and truly quaint - not to mention the 10 (?) jet shower, wow. The grounds/courtyard area between the buildings makes you feel like you are living in and among gardens (well, you are!). Very nice. Don't miss a day of the "continental" breakfast. I ate breakfast at 2 different quaint restaurants in town on the first two mornings, then discovered Gabriel's breakfast. Much more delicious than the restaurants. Pancakes, waffles, special omelets, pastries, awesome coffee, and so on. The staff made us feel so at home. Highly recommended.
Everything was amazing!! The rooms were lovely, the location was perfect, the service was great and the morning breakfast was outstanding. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!
In the past 6 years I have stayed at a number of B&Bs in Provincetown but none can compare to what Gabriel's has to offer. Rooms vary in size (and price) but all are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hosts are most gracious and welcoming as is the staff that makes it all happen. Breakfast is "restaurant quality" and presented in the Great Room which accomodates friendships both new and old. Located just 1 short block from Commercial Street, the Inn provides for a quick walk to where everyone congregates for shopping, eating or partying yet is in a quiet neighborhood when you're looking to just relax in the courtyard. You won't be disappointed with this property.

Perfect Provincetown B&B That Gets Better Every Year
Just got home from another wonderful vacation in Provincetown and already looking forward our next stay at Gabriel's. We first discovered Gabriel's in January of 2000 when planning a romantic winter weekend in Provincetown. We loved the B&B from that first trip and have stayed there multiple times over the years, and consistently for the last 5 years.
The rooms are a comfortable home away from home (we've stayed in Quan Yin, Willow, Ariel, Colette, & Agatha Christie), the Tempur-Pedic mattresses are beyond comfortable, and the spa-like bathrooms that are in many units are delightful. In winter the fireplaces in each room make for a very cozy and romantic weekend away. The central location is perfection for walking Commercial Street, easy access to restaurants, and close to the beach bus, but somehow retains a private hideaway feel once within the inner courtyard. Included parking, a fantastic breakfast (Jean was great this summer), attentive and friendly staff just add to an already perfect B&B experience. Elizabeth and Elizabeth have thought of everything to make you want to return year after year.
This was our 3rd stay at Gabriel’s. Elizabeth,Elizabeth, Christopher and Jean were exceptionally accommodating and ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxing once again.
The beautifully maintained courtyard was inviting and serene, and the hospitality is second to none.
Breakfast in the great room each morning was phenomenal. It was the perfect opportunity to meet other guests, and the breakfast menu changed daily. BUT I have to mention that Jean’s fresh baked pastries daily was to die for.
The surprise visit from Charo who also stayed at Gabriel’s while we were there was an extra treat!
Gabriel’s is the best pet friendly place in P-Town; Onyx, and Bailey Rose enjoyed meeting Miss Potter, Mr Pippin and also little Gracie.
We can’t wait for our next visit to Gabriel’s.
Steve and Mike
We stay at Gabriels every year, sometimes twice a year!!! As aways Elizabeth G., Elizabeth A., Christopher, and Jean go above and beyond to cater to our every need or want. Each time we visit it truly feels like we are going to our second home!!!
Gabriel's is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay if you want to find a place that feels like a retreat from the bustle of Commercial Street. The bed was so comfortable and I slept so hard! The place was extremely clean and the breakfast kitchen in the willow room I stayed in was a perfect way for me to keep afternoon snacks in between walking around town :) :) :) I highly reccommend this place!
We had not vacationed in P-Town for 12 years. Our stay at the Inn was a great way to decompress and enjoy our favorite place on earth. We happened upon family week and would go again in a minute if we could take time from our work schedules. Thank you to Elizabeth(s), Christopher, Jean and Nicollette! Everyone on staff just great!
I stayed at Gabriel's with 3 of my children and was delighted with every aspect of our stay. The owners and staff are cheerful, friendly and attentive to our every need. The room was spacious, bright, comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast options included something for every taste and dietary need-- no easy feat with 3 kids! The location is perfect: near the center of town but very quiet. It was wonderfully restful and fun vacation for all of us. Many thanks!
We were truly amazed by this B & B, the service is incredible, the breakfast is really beyond expectations. Beautiful interior gardens with BBQs a true Oasis of calm even during family week. A block from the main street and the Beach. I highly recommend this place.
We really like the attention to organic items at breakfast, and the quality of the bed and linens. Our unit was nice and quiet and had ample space. The only substandard thing was the check in. The young man at check in did not have much personality and could be friendlier. Other than that, loved it and would definitely stay again. Great location.
From the moment my husband and I stepped inside the office of Gabriel's, we felt like family. The vibe of the Inn is very welcoming and the staff go that extra mile to add to that feeling. The Inn itself is right in the middle of Provincetown, and as Christopher explained, you can go one direction for a more sedate experience or the other for a more party atmosphere. He had several recommendations that were spot-on for dining, and everything was a very easy walk away. I should mention that parking is included with your stay here.
The common area was comfortable and welcoming....And there were cookies! How can you say no to freshly baked cookies?! Our room was adequately sized and had a small kitchenette included, which was handy. There was a spa tub and steam shower in the bath, which was fantastic! The only thing I could have wished for was more room to store clothes, but we were okay.
Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful during our stay and served by a cheerful Elizabeth and some of her lovely ladies. Everything was homemade, including some unbelievable pastries, muffins, etc.
This is a pet friendly, family friendly retreat where even a romantic couple can feel spoiled. There are quiet grounds in the back where you can relax outside and make new friends if you choose.
My husband and I will definitely be returning!
It was my first time at Gabriel's and I would definitely go back! The Hostesses with the mostesses were so aware of making our stay beyond pleasant - I'm so glad to have found this place and I look forward to returning.
My partner and I have been visiting Provincetown for the past 8 years now and have stayed in a few of the finest b&bs in town. This year, we brought our 2 year with us and decided on Gabriels because they were child friendly. We were pleasantly suprised by all that Gabriels had to offer. Our room was beautiful, private, cozy and convenient. We had a lovely balcony that overlooked the garden and all of the species of birds that visited. I was able to take some great shots of a beautiful Cardinal that kept flying in. Having a two year old and a kitchenette during your vacation is definately a plus. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal. The "Great Room" is comfy anytime of day and the selection of children's dvd's really helped out during our daugther's bedtime. Gabriels is definately our new choice each year we visit Ptown. I highly recommend them.
I stayed here with my mom and grandmother in July 2011. I'd say first that this was a terrific value, primarily because of its quality and location. Gabriel's is incredibly dog and children friendly. My mother and Gran loved the breakfasts, and the cook, Jean, was so friendly and helpful when answering our questions about Provincetown. The bathroom and beds were fantastic! The courtyard was beautiful as well. If you stay here for no other reason than location, though, you'd be satisfied. It's about as close as you can get to Commercial Street without actually staying on it., and it's straight up from where the ferries come in from Boston.
We very much enjoyed our second stay at the Gabriel's. This time we were able to have our dog, Ellie with us. The room was clean and spacious. The staff and owners are great to work with. We stayed in Colette this time. We preferred the light and spaciousness of the Olivia from our last stay, although both rooms are great. About the only real complaint we have is the coffee. The coffee was a bit of a disappointment given the spectacular breakfast we had each day. We plan to continue staying at the Gabriel's on our future trips to Provincetown. The rooms, breakfast and location cannot be beat!
My partner and I just finished staying at "Gabriel's" last week. It was a wonderful time! The rooms are clean and pretty large for a b&b. The grounds are well maintained; there was even a fire in a small fire pit on Saturday night for the guests to sit around and relax. However, the best facet of "Gabriels" is there wonderful daily breakfast! We had a choice of baked goods, a granola bar, and a style of eggs and waffles/pancakes daily. Elizabeth and Jean are wonderful, and they added to the warmth and joy of the experience. I would, without a doubt, stay at "Gabriel's" the next time I am visiting P-Town.
We stayed here recently for four nights with our dogs. The setting is quaint and relaxing. The rooms are well-kept and have all the amenities needed. The Inn Keepers and staff are WONDERFUL. The breakfasts and afternoon cookies were fabulous. They put out a full breakfast of made to order eggs/omelets and waffles but also have cereals, yogurt and fruit, croissants, breads etc. Then there are fresh baked cookies in the afternoon.
It's also nice to be off Commercial St but right in the middle of town to easily get to anything you like.
We will definitely go back !
Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn is a beautiful complex of four buildings surrouding a delightful garden area. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The hosts and staff are pleasant and attentive. The main building has a wide variety of books and movies for use, and the location is perfect for jaunts into and around town. I would not recommend staying in the main building, however, on the second floor of which are three bedrooms. The noise from the breakfast room was jarringly loud every morning we were there - it woke us from sleep about 8:30 every day, which was before we would have wanted while we are on vacation. I suspect rooms in the other three buildings allow a more restful stay.
We stayed in the Agatha Christie room and loved it. Clean, private and comfortable! Elizabeth and Elizabeth are just wonderful and their staff is beyond helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the Great Room is something to look forward to...the hospitality cannot be beat. We will be staying ONLY here on our yearly trips to P-town. Great location and beautiful facility. We recommend HIGHLY!!!
Gabriel's is a warm and charming small inn in the heart of Provincetown
This is charming inn is owned by two lovely ladies, the two elizabeths. Beginning with their son's smile when you walk up to the check-in desk to the happy laughter of breakfast lovingly cooked by elizabeth and jean, you know this is a family business that is run with heart and care. The home cooked breakfast is excellent with different selections every morning. My only tip is that Provincetown can be very hot and a bit stuffy in the summer, so for that nice ocean breeze, ask for an upstairs room so you can keep all your windows open at night. Also, we had to take our dog on vacation. We had no idea that P'town is such a haven for dogs and it was a nice surprise. Dogs go to dinner, dogs go to coffee shops (try the Wired Puppy for excellent coffee), dogs are welcome at Gabriel's, chic dogs and their owners are all over the place. Anyway, if you want to go to Provincetown, Gabriel's is the place to stay but make your reservation well in advance as they book up early.
This is my first time in Ptown and the folks at Gabriel's were great. Jane was so very kind, Christopher very helpful and man, Elizabeth can cook a yummy breakfast! I visited friends who were staying in other places, by far, I had the best. Clay
I truly enjoyed my stay at Gabriel's. The staff was amazingly attentive, the room was exactly what I needed, the location was perfect, and the morning breakfast to die for!
We stayed at Gabriel's the weekend of July 4th, great weekend in P-town! The Elizabeths are very friendly, as was all the staff. The Dorothea Dix room was clean and cozy, the common areas were clean and inviting, and the gardens were beautiful (except for a few bugs at night). We've stayed at many B&B's in P-town and I feel Gabriel's has the best breakfast of all. My only complaint is the room could have used a radio or Ipod dock, but we need to disconnect more so it wasn't a big problem, the music played on the house systems was nice. Will definitely look into Gabriel's for future visits to P-town!!!
From the moment we arrived for our 1st P'Town vacation, Gabriel's felt like home. The staff was extremely welcoming, helpful and available. The private and beautifully maintained courtyard is serene and lovely; daily breakfast in the main room was amazing and a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow guests. And the mattresses were dreamy!
Gabriel's is an outstanding bed and breakfast with clean, well-maintained and lovely rooms, wonderful hospitality, and a great home-cooked breakfast in a social atmosphere. The owners are terrific and their son, Christopher, is always around to help out. There are so many wonderful things to say about Gabriel's but someone has to experience it to know. We have stayed there twice and plan to go again next summer.
Central location, short walking distance to the center of town. Service and people were very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast would highly recommend.
I would suggest that the breakfast be served before 8:30, especially coffee, OJ etc. Many leave for outings etc. In previous stays I was able to get coffee (just using this for an example) by 7:30. I would also suggest giving a receipt for the total upon check. I understand going green, but I have had mistakes in the past and this would eliminate this problem. I've stayed there 4 years in a row, and will probably do so again.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Thank you for this review. We read all reviews and improve our services whenever possible. Our apologies about the coffee and juices. We do offer the Keurig individual cup coffee makers with supplies in all our rooms as well as in our breakfast area 24 hrs. a day. Our fresh ground coffee is brewed by 8:30am. There is also a small refrigerator in our Great Room that offers alternative drinks and juices around the clock. In an effort to go green and to keep your visit easy, receipts are sent via email in advance of your arrival. We are always happy to resend your reservation information as our check in and check out area is not where we do our book keeping. We are always happy to send duplicate receipts upon request. We look forward to your next visit!
My partner and I were celebrating our 8th anniversary together and we could not think of a better place to stay than Gabriel's. The two Elizabeth's and their son Christopher were outstanding, loving hosts. The Chef....Jeanne serves a breakfast that is out of this world and serves it with a smile, a laugh and a double heaping helping of CARE!
We loved the room...so neat...clean...bright......
We loved the entire experience and will return again and again and again.
Just an aside.....Their son Christopher is the best front desk presence on the Cape!
STay at Gabriel's for a FIRST CLASS experience.
Terry and Sam Porter-Fahey
I have been to P Town many times and Gabriel's is definitely the best place I have ever stayed. The room and amenities were great but what was really outstanding was the staff. They made us feel more than welcomed and actually added to our experience in P Town. We were upgraded at no cost and by being able to leave our luggage after we checked out it is like we got a bonus day! I will never stay anywhere else now.
We have been coming to Gabriel's for about 12 years now and have never been dissappointed, not even once. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. It is kid and pet friendly too. The Inn keepers are very friendly. After a few stays they will know you by name.... Breakfast is always good too. It's always fun to meet new people and chat over a cup of coffee in the common room. If you are looking for a classy bed and breakfast then Gabriel's is the place to stay. You won't want to stay any where else.
Julie & Chris
I recently stayed at Gabriel's for four nights with my partner. Our stay was wonderful. The staff is so helpful and kind. They truly know how to make you feel at home. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. I didn't want to come home! Wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!! Can't wait until our next stay!
We have stayed at Gabriel's for the last 5 years for a yearly vacation....as always our stay was outstanding !! Beuatiful grounds, lovely room, fantastic bath in our suite !! Loved our stay and we will be back again !!!
My wife and I went to Provincetown to get married, it was our first time there and we stayed at Gabriel's. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for four more days and stayed there a total of 9 days! The inn keepers allowed us to get married in their beautiful courtyard garden area for free, it was absolutely perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was fantastic! We LOVED the Keurig coffee maker in our room, and the convenient one down stairs with unlimited supply of coffee! They even had my FAVORITE coffee that we can't find near our house anymore...Kona!! Homemade breakfasts every morning were wonderful, the kitchen staff were very pleasant and accomodating. The DVD and game library was huge, we took advantage of that at night time, and enjoyed some games on the cooler days. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they gave it a real "home" feeling. Gabriel's is located just a street away from Commercial Street, very quick and easy to get to! We would have stayed even longer if the prices hadn't jumped up! We will definitely be returning to Gabriel's every year to celebrate our anniversary there...and might even pay a visit sooner!
We had a wonderful extended weekend in Provincetown. The Inn was a fantastic place to enjoy a bit of luxury with a two year old and not feel out of place. The fact that the Inn accepts guests with pets additionally adds to the fun.
Gabriel's is a wonderful (dog-friendly) oasis nestled into the heart of Provincetown. The check-in process was relaxed and efficient. Our room (Susan) was spotless, equipped with all the essentials and perks of staying at a five star hotel with a home-y feel. The homemade breakfasts in the Great Room with the other guests each morning was a terrific treat. The Sunday morning waffles were my favorite! There are also homemade cookies each afternoon - soooo good! The bed sheets - oh my god! - they were the softest, like butter. And the best part is that we were able to order a set from the inn.
We cannot wait to return to Gabriel's for our next vacation to Cape Cod! :)
Husband and I had a fantastic stay at Gabriel's. Ferry trip from Boston was very rough with 7 out of 10 passengers sitting with Hefty Bags in their laps. We are from San Francisco and this was an adventure! Upon our arrival at Gabriel's, Chris was most accommodating and took us to our room. What a lovely view overlooking the gardens and Town Hall while we regained our land legs. Breakfast was incredible. A return trip for sure.
Gabriel's was just amazing. Our room was spacious, spotless and inviting. The game table was a great touch and a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. The staff were all friendly and Jean's breakfasts were amazing. Can't wait to go back.
We chose Gabriel's B&B because of our 5 year old daughter: most "child Friendly" B&B we looked at had an a minimum age of 10 years old: quite useless to us!
The rooms were good size, had a kitchenette and and great bathrooms: took us a while to figure out the tub with all the showers sprays and jacuzzi... bVery comfiortable tempurpedic beds...
Great fire place in the room, did not use them as we were here in June
The patios were full of Fairy houses and surprises, which delighted our daughter, a nice fire pit, and plenty of quiet sitting areas.
The breakfast was really good: pancakes with blueberries and pecans, and very creative French toasts.
A wide DVD library available with movies for all ages, books for kids.
Our hosts joined us at breakfast, and were very friendly.
Located a block from main street, it was convenient to stroll at night, no need for a car.
We loved it and will return
This inn is in a wonderful location, just a block off the water and the main street of activity. The hosts were attentive and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. You can't beat this inn for the price. We'll definitely be staying again.
We also travel with a dog and they made it incredibly easy to have her with us. Our room was right next to a park and we could take her to the beach within a few minutes' walk. Perfect for dog travel.
When I first arrived I was greeted by a younger gentlemen who helped bring my luggage to my room.
I stayed at Gabriel's by myself and the room was VERY comfortable for my needs. The room I stayed in (Katharine Hepburn) had a great view looking down at the beautiful green courtyard
The service was OUTSTANDING! The Elizabeth's were So friendly, very welcoming and helpful even before I arrived. I had to change my travel plans and they were VERY accommodating.
The staff did an exceptional job cleaning the room and were respectful of my belongings and the "Privacy Please" sign.
Breakfast had to be one of my favorite things! There was a HUGE variety: cereal, fruit, a make your own fruit and yogurt parfait, muffins, toast, coffee, tea, milk, juice, eggs and then whatever the FLIPPIN AMAZING chef was making.
Jean (The Flippin amazing Chef) is SUPER friendly. Every morning she would welcome me and the other guests as we entered the Great Room. Jean was VERY considerate to anyone who had special dietary needs. The food was tasty and served quickly!
The rooms are a little more expensive than some of the other places, but the B&B is at a GREAT LOCATION, and you certainly get what you pay for... ROCK YOUR GRAY TOED SOCKS PURE EXCELLENCE!
Their place is an oasis in the chaos and bustle of Ptown, centrally located in town. The breakfasts are amazing, the service and helpfulness of the staff top-notch. They are kind, patient, and accepting of everyone: singles, families, dogs, littles and older folks. Definately stay with them!
Gabriel's is a beautiful place to stay with gorgeous view of the monument and a short walk to Commercial Street. Room was beautiful and the shower should be featured on the home channel. Hand cut stone tiles, turtles and multiple heads and jets. Don't miss breakfast with Jean!
Perfectly located in the heart of "downtown" Provincetown but one short street up from the hurly burly of Commercial Street, so it's both sublimely convenient AND peaceful. Gorgeously landscaped grounds with a woman's touch evident everywhere, beautiful, unique rooms, all the amenities, sweet and helpful staff, glorious breakfasts to order. This is a marvelous place to spend one's precious vacation days in Provincetown.
Excellent location. Rooms are unique, no two alike. People are very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Don't forget to climb the tower.
We went to Provincetown for my sisters wedding..That was suppose to be a t the local church, when they goofed and double booked church; the Elizabeths and staff were awesome and allowed my sister to wed in their garden..then it rained and they allowed us to move it indoors..Tey were awesome...My husband and I with a grand daughter were taken care of very well. They were all so corteous and I will return to Gabriels on my next trip! This is one of very few that is KID FRIENDLY in Provine Town...!!! Respectfully The Falquez Family from AZ
Great location and a great place to stay. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and prepared especially for me! (and the other guests!) I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for making my first visit so enjoyable.
Gabriels is a great place to stay in P-Town. It's two blocks to all the shops and restaurants, yet it remains a quiet haven to rest and relax. We stayed in the Willow Room, which was large, quiet, and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and the multiple head shower was luxurious.
The breakfast is both a buffet and made to order, and plenty of it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free Wifi is included. The courtyard is zenlike.
I don't have any complaints! Stay here!
Our stay was delightful to say the least. We were welcomed warmly by Chris and the smell of fresh made cookies. The delicious breakfasts and freindly chats with the chef Jean started our days with joy. The wamrth and friendliness of all the staff there made our stay feel like we were staying at an old friends home for the weekend. We loved it so much that we have already booked a return visit this summer. Thanks to all at Gabriel's for making us feel so welcomed, especially Jean and Chris.
The staff at Gabriel's were friendly and attentive. It felt like being a guest in someone's home. The room was great and we loved spending leisure time in the common area getting to know the staff and our fellow travelers. The location is ideal...right in the heart of Provincetown. I would highly recommend Gabriel's for your next stay. Brian and Craig
We loved our trip to Provincetown and were very happy to stay at Gabriel's. We had a very nice room, wonderful breakfasts and enjoyed the outside areas and the great room as well. The staff was exceptionally helpful.
We stayed 1 night at this Bed & Breakfast in the Agatha Christie room. Despite it being in an attic, it had very good ventilation (& air conditioning). It had a lovely garden area where you could sit down & have a glass of wine & relax. The breakfast was delicious & there was always coffee, tea & juices to help yourself to in the dining room.
We love this place. We are always welcome to come with our 2 small dogs, which is great. The free breakfast is ideal, free parking, great location, fantastic beds and spa bathrooms in every room. We love it here and wont stay anywhere else when we go to P Town.
We took Mom for a getaway weekend to show her the wonderful place where we always stay in Provincetown. She was "wowed" by the beautiful room and that she was treated like a queen at breakfast in the Great Room!
Our room opened to the garden walkway, making it easy for her to trek safely within the grounds and venture out into town with us.
There are many reasons we keep coming back. The beautifully appointed rooms, the innkeepers, the staff, and the location are just a few. It's not just a vacation destination, but a place to feel like home with family.
We are looking forward to our next visit in September.
My GF and I stayed in the Collete--we loved the room! It was near the back so very private and quiet. Large room with full kitchen, fireplace, AC, flatscreen tv, and amazing bedding. The only downside was the steamer wasn't working in our shower-- we are spa addicts and had really looked forward to sitting in the steam(the rest of the multi-head shower was wonderful!) The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful--and Jean made the most wonderful breakfast and provided great conversation. They also have movies, beach towels, umbrellas, books, and games for use. Gabriels is near the center of everything in Ptown--we are already planning our next trip back!
Got an amazing rate and such a romantic stay in the Laurel room! One of the best places I've stayed at and my first time to visit Cape Cod. I'm really glad I did my research and finding this place
We were very happy with our stay at Gabriel's, from the beautiful room and bathroom to the fabulous and freshly made (to order) breakfast. The staff was friendly and responsive and the guests were all pleasant and we enjoyed meeting everyone. I highly recommend Gabriel's for your trip and we certainly plan to stay there in the future.
I loved the staff here (including the owners and family). They were so friendly, I felt like I had known them my whole life.
Food was so good, I wasn't even thinking about eating breakfast when I booked the room, so it was such a pleasant surprise! And the afternoon cookies were delicious!
Location so close to Provincetown, grocery store, and beaches. Perfect!
I can't think of anything I would change about Gabriel's.
And, the fact that I could bring my dog- definitely the best place I've stayed on the Cape.
We spent a weekend at Gabriels. Staff was warm welcoming and helpful at any time. Breakfast was delicious, new specials every day. Room was comfortable and the fireplace made it cosy. We would absolutely recommend this place! Thanks to all of you at Gabriels! Katrin, Ulrike and Gaby from Germany
Friendly Innkeepers & Staff, and perfect Location!
Gabriel's is more than a B&B -- it's a place to connect with others in a relaxed setting. The location couldn't be better, being only one block from Commercial St. The breakfasts are outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and accommodating. We loved it! Salila & Mandy
Gabriel's is our home away from home in Provincetown. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped; the staff is helpful and friendly; and the inn is not only pet-friendly, it's pet-welcoming. The grounds are pretty; the breakfast and snacks are delicious. And the location couldn't be more convenient.
My wife and I spent two nights at Gabriel's; 5/20 and 5/21. We had a wonderful time, renewed old friendships and were served delicious breakfasts by the "master chef" Jean. Our room was spotless and the amenities were perfect. We will go back soon and likely bring another couple to give them the experience of being treated like royalty. Dawson and Lynn
Hosts were lovely. Always concerned about their customers well being and enjoyment. Lovely garden and rooms, would highly recommend this bed and breakfast
The staff at Gabriel's was exceptionally accomodating and ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxed. The room was beautiful and meticulously clean. Everyone there, staff, owners, and guests, were extremely dog-friendly. The breakfast was fantastic too. Plus, the inn is right off of Commercial Street. We have stayed at other inns in P-town. Now that we have found Gabriel's, we won't be staying anywhere else.
We were so pleased with our stay at Gabriel's. The room was a good size. The fireplace cozy. The staff were friendly and made you feel at home. Breakfast every morning...Delicious. We met several couples who went to Gabriels often, adding to the homey feel.
Our 1st time to Ptown and we could not have been more satisfied. We enjoyed meeting folks from different parts of the world and share activities and recommendations. Thanks to the E's, Chris and the entire staff for making our stay so comfortable.
My daughter (9 years old) and I traveled for a girls weekend away from the rate race of DC. Formerly from the Truro, MA., area, I found Gabriels Inn through a wearch on bedandbreakfast.com - and knew the location to be central walking distance to everything in Provincetown. What was unexpected was the charm, elegance, cleanliness and warmth of the Inn and it's staff/owners. Our room offered us all the convenience and comfort of home and each day we enjoyed the spectacular breakfast menu - which was out of this world. Each night we sat in the living room area and chatted with other guests while enjoying gourmet coffee and warm cookies. My daughter enjoyed petting all the friendly dogs and really took to the managers dog Gracie who welcomes you when you enter the guest house. We were so impressed with the accomodations, yet what took us by surprise was the feeling of being right at home. It was difficult to leave but we know that next time we are back the only place we'll book is at Gabriels- without a doubt the best Inn we've stayed at.
We had a fabulous time staying at Gabriel's. The room was large, well appointed and clean. The staff were friendly and ready to offer recommendations about things to do and places to eat. The food was delightful. We will be going back the next time we go to Provincetown.
Location, location, location, couldn't be better. Overall excellent ecperience. Gabriel's will certainly be my first choice for a place to stay when visiting Provincetown.
What can I say.. The nicest Inn we have ever stayed at. It has it all here. Great hosts who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive (which after a nine hour drive in a foreign country was really appreciated) to beautiful rooms with just about everything you could need provided (jacuzzi baths, log fires, tea/coffee making facilities and the most comfortabe matress in the world! This Inn was the highlight of our holiday in Cape Cod and breakfast time was a real surprise - home made breakfasts.. we are not just talking sauasage and eggs here, home made muffins baked that morning, home made gronola..it was haven and so was the company. We can't wait to return sometime soon.
We loved our stay at Gabriel's! The staff was very understanding of our needs, our very young children were expected, and the extra mile was reached in order for us to be comfortable! I am passing on the address, and making plans to go back already :)
We return to Gabriel's year after year because the innkeepers and staff make it feel like home. Everyone is warm and friendly. Normally, my husband and I tend to keep to ourselves when we travel, but at Gabriel's we relish our time in the communal "Great Room" where they serve breakfast and snacks during the day. We have come to know the Elizabeths and their staff (a special shout out to Gina and her little pup, Gracie of the Great Room) and feel they are like a second family. They certainly treat all their guests like family.
Rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and immaculate. Bathrooms (some with TVs!) are luxurious and beds are nicely firm. Breakfast is always delicious (glorious morning muffins, egg casseroles, granola and fresh fruit - to name just a few selections), plus the staff is accomodating to those with special dietary requirements.
It's a short walk to everything, but still one block off the main drag, Commercial Street, so it tends to be a bit quieter at night - which is a BIG plus. Best inn in Provincetown, hands down. Highly recommended.
Very nice and quaint within walking distance to shops and restaraunts. Our two pet labs were welcomed everywhere and the park next to the inn was great for a quick walk. The room was very close to street so was noisy along with the church bells that ring every 1/2 hour, otherwise excellent stay.
Stayed 2 nights, room was well appointed but very cramped. Wonderful location; close to 'everything.' Basically no soundproofing, but very pleasant surroundings. Breakfast was good, but way too many guests for the 'great room' to hold comfortably. Suggest they add more table space for people to eat. Owners have thought of a great many details to provide nice stays for guests, such as providing beach chairs, umbrellas and a fantastic selection of DVDs. Great for dog owners as there is a park next door!
Very personable hosts and staff. They went out of their way in helping us solve a logistics issue unrelated to them/our stay there. We will definitely stay there again.
We love staying at Gabriel's. The owners and staff are so welcoming. Extremely pet friendly, the rooms are beautiful and you cannot beat the location. If you are going to vacation in P-town, you MUST try Gabriel's!
The room was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were well kept. The only issue was the thin walls. Unfortunately, we happened to be next to a couple that chose to use a wonderful night away to argue and we heard it all. Besides that, everything was awesome.
We were greeted with hospitality and treated to an amazing home-cooked breakfasts. Gabriel's is in a great location- easy to walk anywhere in town. Our puppy was welcomed too, which is always a plus. The room was a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos on-line. And the only other complaint I have is that the walls are quite thin between rooms...
Gabriel's is as amazing as the surroundings. Loved every minute.
We had a fabulous time in Provincetown. Everyday we started with the most amazing breakfasts prepared by Jean. The room, Jane Goodell was very spacious and warm. We fely very comfortable, and at home. Ther room was clean, beautiful and I love the jacuzzi tub. I will stay at Gabriel's again and again. Thank you for such a fantastic time. Its good to know that people are passionate about your comfort.
My girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Ptown during the off season. The price for the room was great. We stayed in the Agatha Christy. Everything in the room was great except the Jacuzzi jets in the hot tub did not work. The pictures on the website made the room loko amazing but in person the room was just ok. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! The only downside to teh amazing location was parking. There was any designated place to park for the inn so we had to park on commercial street which was difficult even during the off season. All in all, we would defintley go back and stay again but only during the off season. The price for the room during the summer would be wayyyy too much for the quality.
We stayed in the Laural Suite which was beautiful. We travelled with our two dogs who were welcomed with open arms, belly rubs and kisses. Our morning breakfasts were delicious made by Gina. March is quiet in Provincetown and there are not many restaurants open - beware. My only wish is that parking was closer and easier (you must park in the public lots either near the town hall (accross the street) -or further up Bradford St which wasn't that bad given it was "off season") and one night we stopped by the front desk for restaurant information and the person staffing the desk didn't have information on which restaurants were open. Other than those two very minor issues .... we'll be back to Provincetown and Gabriel's.
My boyfriend and I regularly vacation in the Cape, but never ventured to the tip. Our weekend trip was the first week of March, so finding a bed and breakfast that offered a fireplace en-suite was ideal! I also wanted to have a relaxing spa-like getaway from our busy city schedules. After reading reviews of other bed in breakfast spots in Provincetown, Gabriel's, seemed to be the ideal pick. Boy, were we delighted!! What a fabulous stay! We chose the Susan room. The pictures were identical to the room! The room was immaculate!! The wet-bar exceeded expectations. Fully equipped with a refrigerator, 4person table, wine glasses, and washer and dryer—we could’ve stayed for a month!! The DVD library is massive and the homemade breakfast made by Elizabeth was amazing!! We would recommend Gabriel’s to everyone; it was worth every dollar… We loved it so much; we’ve already booked another stay later on this summer!! Thanks Christopher and Elizabeth(s).. See you in the summer! -Erika, from Boston
On a whim we booked a Saturday night just to get away. We had never been before, and were happy with the photos and anticipated a nice room. Upon arrival we were informed we had been "upgraded." Well, the room made our jaws drop and we didn't want to leave the room the entire stay! What a wonderful surprise. The breakfast was fantastic and Gina and "Gracie of the Great Room" were wonderful company. We will certainly return, and highly recommend the Inn to any and all.

We stayed in the off-season and Gabriel's was an amazing value at those rates. A beautiful room with everything we could want, plus friendly staff and amazing food. We will definitely go back!
We had our small, intimate wedding ceremony at Gabriels and it rained the day of the ceremony so they graciously let us have the ceremony in the Great Room. Everything was beautiful and both our ceremony and our stay at Gabriels were memorable. Looking forward to coming back in the late spring or summer to be able to sit and enjoy the outside sitting areas when it is a bit warmer!
Great service and very dog-friendly; many amenities. Highly recommended for Provincetown visits. Gabriel's is in the exact heart of Ptown and your hosts are exceedingly gracious.
Great place to stay in a great location! Next time we'll bring our grandchild, as it seems to be well set up for kids as well as adults.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Please do bring your grandchildren! We have Brio trains, little tables and chairs, plenty of books, games and videos to keep them busy plus great suites! Thank you for your review!
we picked an off-season time to visit P-town and it was just the experienc equally memeriable to summer time on the Cape. We got a surprised upgrade upon check-in and everything exceeded our expectation. It was too cold to sit outside but i wish we could spend time in their little but cute courtyard. It is such a cozy place to have a cup of tea and relax. The room we stayed has everything we would need if it was an extended stay. I am amazed how they fit in some many life neccessities and luxury features in a small suite without letting you feel packed. If the price is in your budget, it is the top BB to choose and it is certainly the best BB i have ever stayed in many travel experiences. Highly recommanding it.
The room was gorgeous, although really hard to prevent it from being overheated. The bathroom, with its gorgeous shower and whirlpool bath was wonderful. The breakfast and coffee was simply terrible. The meal plan seems to involve "do ahead" breakfasts--which could work out under the right supervision. But putting out grocery store coffee cake and inedible baked breakfast lasagna (think overcooked pasta, hard boiled eggs, and bacon), made us seek breakfast elsewhere by the second day. Baked fruit seemed to be heated up fruit from a can. I just really think for these prices, breakfast should be something nice. And the coffee is terrible. The rooms are great--and it is clearly a great place for people with dogs. But at these prices, and given the lack of parking, I could never recommend the place on the theory that if you pick a bed and breakfast, instead of a hotel or renting a place, you are signing on for that breakfast experience--yummy food, lingering over coffee, chatting with the hosts and guests. These hosts never even introduced themselves to us the whole weekend--and maybe that was because they were mortified at what they were passing off as food.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We are so sorry this guest was not happy with the breakfast. Sometimes our cook tries a new recipe and well, it doesn't work for everyone, but she tries :) If this guest would like to email us we would love to have them back, on us, to experience why we have been top rated for 32 years! I hope they do! Thank you for your review all information is helpful!
I really did not know where we were staying until the final days of departure from Houston but I had trust in the person making the reservation. My expectations were met and exceeded. Thanks to everyone!
We stayed on a blustery cold weekend (no changing that), but I wish we had known that there's no parking available at the inn. Because it was mid-winter we lucked out and found a spot in a nearby public lot, but I can't imagine trying to find parking during the busy summer season. I had emailed ahead of time looking for some specific restaurant info but didn't hear back before we arrived (so we made do with the inn's helpful pre-printed general info). We didn't stay for breakfast but it looked like a beautiful room and nice spread. I couldn't figure out how to set the only clock in the room (it was displaying the wrong time), but the spa shower was terrific.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We are sorry that this guest did not get the attention they were looking for. We strive for each and every guest experience to be wonderful. We DO provide parking, but in the winter the FREE public lots across the street is closer than our lot and there are always spaces. We hope they will come again.
We love it here! Don't let the medium grade review of dining mis-lead you. The bed was too comfy to get out of for getting to the yummy breakfast! The Elizabeths are charming hostesses who have unrivaled talents in making you feel at home. We've come here time and time again, and each time, can't wait to return!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] We hope you return soon!
The room was nice and big so it was comfortable just hanging out in the room, which is always nice. Looking forward to coming back in the summer when the gardens are in bloom. It is so close to town, but so private.
I surprised my partner for her birthday as well as valentine's day weekend by putting her in the car and driving us to provincetown for the weekend. I decided to stay at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn and reserved their room "Ariel" for our romantic weekend. The room was over the top! The bathroom is unbelievably gorgeous. The shower doubles as a steam room and has more jets than you can count! On top of it, it was impeccably clean and neat. There was great attention to detail. I loved the starfish placed around the jacuzzi tub. Eventhough it was February, it felt like a summer weekend at the cape because of the bright, cheerful decor. My partner was impressed that the fireplace was set by the thermostat and came on and off as needed to heat the room. We were also pleasantly surprised to realize that the flat screen tv in the bedroom had a spot on the side to insert a dvd so we were able to watch a movie that night.... and, they had such an extensive and up to date library, that they had a movie that we had been meaning to see that just came out on dvd. We were super impressed. In addition to the fantastic room, the breakfast cooked by Jean each morning was delicious. And, they also had fresh fruit and pastry out as well as the options for a hot breakfast. I also can appreciate variety... I really like that one morning they had french toast, eggs, sausage, etc. while the next morning they had pancakes topped with strawberries, eggs, bacon, etc. It was nice to have choices as well as to what exactly you wanted. Overall, we had a phenomenal weekend at Gabriel's. The owners and staff make you feel so welcome and everything is really taken care of for you... so much that you can just really just relax and enjoy! -Rebecca
this was my second visit in a two month span. It has become my home away from home...the place i want to go when i truly need to get away. Everyone at Gabriel's is warm and welcoming. The rooms...well, I have never stayed at a cozier inn.
I will be back...next month, mostly likely and hopefully, once a month for as long as possible.
Room was awesome...the staff was very accommodating. Was surprise to have a full breakfast. Have stayed in other Inns in P-town which only offered a continential breakfast. The Inn has a great collection of DVD's which is great if you just want to chill out for the day in your room. All in all a relaxing wonderful weekend at the Gabriel.
My partner and I spent a week at Gabriel's last October, and we couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to stay. Wonderful staff. Wonderful guests. Wonderful time.
Gabriel's is my favorite place to stay in Provincetown. Every time I visit, I am amazed by the comfort and attention to detail. The owners and staff are personable and go above and beyond to ensure every guest has the best possible stay.
The rooms are comfortable and yet, every detail is taken care of to ensure that guests leave feeling pampered and refreshed. The Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast is delicious and there are choices that will satisfy every taste.
I can't say enough about this wonderful place~
Beautiful guest rooms and fabulous breakfast, with great presentation and thoughtful extra touches. Great location within easy walking distance of all the main sites, restaurants and shops in P'town. Love the gas fireplace, and amenities. Even packed us a great on-the-road breakfast since we had to leave so early on Monday a.m.. Very warm, friendly environment, with as much opportunity to socialize as we wanted, but total respect for privacy. The extensive DVD and Video collection (at no cost) was great on those cold winter afternoons. We will be back for sure!
For a great mid winter break hotel find in Provincetown, Gabriel's is the it place to stay. Perfect location, comfortable in every way, good off season rates including breakfast, it can't be beat!
Ideal location in the center of town. Easy walk everywhere, especially the fudge shop. View of the Monument through the skylight -- magical. Superb en suite coffee maker. Wonderful time walking Race Point and Herring Cove beaches. What a contrast with the summer!
We booked two nights in the Laurel room and brought our dog along. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were very welcoming and everything felt very clean. We were especially pleased at how easy it was to include our dog in the stay. I would recommend Gabriel's to anyone. We are already planning our return!
There is plenty good to say about Gabriel's. The people are very friendly and wonderfully pet friendly, which says a lot. The room and Common Room were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was divine (Temporpedic). My first disappointment was not getting hot water in my shower the first morning. OK, so I'll see what's going on for breakfast. Door to the common room was locked. I called the main number and was told that a big breakfast is served on Sunday, but no breakfast today. They would look into the hot water situation and also look for a radio as there had not been one in the room and I wanted one. Both those problems were resolved quickly, but I felt short-changed after waiting two months to get away from my responsibilities and take a break. I expected more. However, because of all the really good reviews, I think they must of just had an "off" weekend or something.
The Hosts were amazing and the Inn was centrally located and made our New Years Eve weekend fabulous..... Can't wait to get back for a weekend in the summer!!
My partner and I recently spent an overnight in the Willow Room, and everything about our stay was lovely. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, with many thoughtful extra details added in. The staff was so friendly and most helpful. It was quiet, restful, and gave us a much-needed chance for renewal and refreshment. We will definitely come again! Thank you for a great time!
When you come to P-town, there is only one place to stay in Gabriel's
I have been visiting Provincetown for ten years, stayed at different places...then I stayed at Gabriel's and I can't think of staying any where else in Provincetown! Every stay is just as good or better than the last, Gabriel's always has new surprises to discover when you stay!
Our stay was a very good one in that the hospitality matched the location and the ambiance. Our room was clean and warm when we arrived amidst a snow storm. Everyone was friendly and professional and we loved our room with all of the upgrades and amenities.
We visited Gabriel's at Christmas. We got upgraded to a room (Ariel) that I could never have afforded otherwise. It was astounding, especially for the (off-season) price per night. I have never experienced such luxury.
One sour note: The young man in charge of checking us in was about as disinterested in being hospitable as a person could be. However, we expected something like that, because we assume the owners were enjoying their holiday as well. We didn't let it ruin our stay!
My husband and our nine-year-old son love Gabriel's. We have stayed here three or four times. It is wonderfully located, at the center of town and alongside the Monument. The rooms (some with really nice views) are located throughout a small complex of buildings all overlooking a very attractively landscaped series of little gardens/nooks/pathways/plantings. Gabriel's has a special personality all its own, of comfort and artistry and community, with personal care for each guest.
We love the Ariel room in particular but each has its own personality and charm, with comfortable, attractive furniture that is well maintained. Gabriel's offers all the amenities one needs, from gas fireplaces in some rooms, to fantastic showers/jacuzzi in others—plus delicious breakfasts. The DVD/video library will definitely satisfy every taste. The owners (I won't give names) and the young man staffing the front desk are all very friendly and helpful. All the guests clearly feel at home here, with lively morning conversations the norm, and Gabriel's deserves the many, many repeat visitors it attracts. Definitely book a visit here.
The rooms and grounds were top notch, what a nice job they have done. Nice dog park located conveniently near my room. Located right in the center of town. Parking was difficult in this area. Breakfast was your average hotel chain bread goods with some eggs, not the usual breakfast found at B&Bs. Staff not overly friendly or helpful. Found expensive for off season for what you get. 10 times better at Gazebo Inn in Ogunquit Maine.
My wife and I stayed in the Laurel suite and could not have possibly been more satisfied with our choice. We could easily have lived in this suite for a month. The Elizabeths have thought of everything and were extremely welcoming. Everything from a wine opener to a pet watering bowl has been thought of and placed in your room. The fireplace heating was very romantic and the spa bathroom needs to be experienced because my description won't do it justice. We had an amazing stay at Gabriels.
Beautiful place, great courtyard between the 4 buildings. Loved having a gas stove in the room, visited in November. Easy walking distance to everything in Ptown. The breakfast was ok, would have liked homemade baked goods. Had to get used to the Town Hall hourly chimes, very loud. Very nice owners and staff.
Beautiful bedroom with jacuzzi tub. Gourmet Breakfast made to order EVERY MORNING. warm and friendly staff. Cross the street and you are in the heart of Provincetown.
Cant tell you what a great time we had...this was our 1st experience staying in a B and B....and it was perfect...Lindsey & I & our girls cant wait to come back....see u both soon!....HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We took our dog here and they were very dog friendly and the room was very nice . The hosts were very nice and breakfast was great every morning. Our room was right next to a park were it was very convenient to walk and run our dog.
Our room was clean and cozy, the staff were friendly and efficient. The location was great, and it felt like everything was one step above what you would expect.
Ideally located near main restaurant and shopping streets. Also close to bus stop for Boston.
Off season price good value but feel high season price high for what is on offer. Breakfast bit disappointing - no hot food if only few guests in. Good garden to look over. Unstaffed quite a lot of the day so difficult to obtain assistance. One word of warning for visitors to Cape Cod......November onwards is dead! Most hotels, shops and restaurants closed, so plan these ahead.
Stayed here for a week for a conference. Great location, walking distance to all my meetings and events. Loved the ambience of the courtyard. Liked having coffee ready in the morning, and variety breakfast if I wanted it. Everyone is helpful and pleasant. My dogs would have loved it too. Hope to stay here again next year.
We had a fabulous first visit to Gabriel's. The owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth are wonderful and take the time to tell you the inside places to go in town. We laughed at the breakfast table and met new friends and the entire table exchanged emails! The room we had, Susan, was beyond appointed and the TV in the bathroom was over the top. This is a true gem in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. We will be back!!!
As a regular visitor to Provincetown and a first to Gabriels, my week included strange interactions with the hosts, and even stranger interactions with the staff. There was a certain sincerity and genuine friendliness missing from the customer service equation. This could have been driven by my lack of sleep due to traffic noise which rattled our windows throughout the night.
My advise: Lower your social expectations and bring your ear plugs.
Provincetown was FABULOUS as always!!
My now husband and I went to Gabriels for one night. We had such a great time there, the house was immaculate, the grounds were beautiful, and it was a VERY short walk to the main st. We will def. be seeing the "Elizabeths" soon...
We had a wonderful time at Gabriel's. The attention to detail was outstanding. We arrived in the evening to warm cookies and hot cider, enjoyed the in-room spa tub, and took a walk to a local restaurant (only a block away). We slept wonderfully on the Tempurpedic bed, and could see the illuminated Pilgrim monument through the skylight too!
In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast (cheese omelet, hashbrowns, pancakes, and great coffee!) and enjoyed the company of the other guests and the host.
We highly recommend staying at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn - you won't regret it!
The owners and staff were very friendly and accomodating. Our room had everything we were looking for. The location is great, it's right in the center of town with easy access to everything. The breakfasts were terrific. We'll definately be going back to stay again.
Perfect accommodations & we would like to acknowledge every staff member... every single one is courteous & thoughtful of the guests. A special call out for Christopher at the front desk is also in order. Christopher greeted us when we arrived, made sure all of our needs were met, offered to make dinner reservations whenever we wanted and he even sat with our dog Scout one evening. What a perfect getaway with outstanding hosts!
I’d recommend Gabriel’s to couples and people with children over the age of six, but not for people with babies or toddlers. We were allowed to rent a room that was a death trap for young children. The online pictures of the room did not fully capture how unsafe the room was for babies/toddlers. This should have been brought to our attention when we reserved. During high tourist season, we would have been left with nowhere to stay. As it was, we had to upgrade our room (at significant cost to us). You have to park at the Pilgrim Monument, which is up a steep hill from the inn. Not inherently bad, but if you're pushing two strollers and have to pack your entire house any time you travel, this is very inconvenient. I was only informed of this when I arrived, and again, the ages of my children were known to the innkeeper. We had a fatal mechanical problem with the thermostat in our room, resulting in our room becoming stiflingly hot. Because the problem occurred late at night, the only person I was able to talk to worked for an answering service. We didn't get a response to our problem until the following morning. Gabriel’s is not equipped for 24/7 response to problems. I was charged an additional $40 per child per night, as Gabriel's has a policy under which a $40/night fee is assessed for every guest above two in number who occupy a room. I was told by way of explanation "we have to do more work." That may be the case, but it sure isn't in the remote vicinity of $240 worth. My original room did not even have extra towels or other evidence that they’d prepared for four occupants. For $240, I expect that at least this level of personalization would have been executed prior to our arrival. Overall, this is a charming inn at a great location, and I'm sure the negative experiences we had wouldn’t apply to couples and families with older children (other than the occupancy fee). However, if you have children as young as ours, consider somewhere else.
We stayed in the "Susan" which is now my new favorite room. Fabulous amenities: Big screen TV with DVD/CD player, great, comfortable bed, amazing shower with jets all over the place! I'll be back as soon as I can.
Staying at Gabriel's is like a visit with your family. Elizabeth, Elizabeth, and Christopher treated us just like we were the most special people in the world. They all went out of their way to make our visit special and it was.
Very charming B&B. Excellent location with everything you need within a quick walk or bike away so we were able to park the car for 4 days which was a definite plus. Breakfast was very good every morning. We traveled with 2 kids and the innkeepers were very friendly. A little on the pricey side in my opinion but it was our first time in P-town so we have little to compare too...
We had a great time! We loved everything. The innkeepers are lovely folks. The rooms are cozy and unique. The jacuzzi/shower/steam bath was OUTSTANDING!!!! We took two baths in less than 8 hours. There were dog cookies on the dog bed for our pup and we felt generally spoiled all around. The atmosphere of the whole place is perfect!
The only things I would say that will need attention soon are that there was a little mold under the caulking in the bathtub and a couple of places in the room where the paint was peeling. The bed was great, but it is angling downwards. None of these things bothered us in the least, but being a former house painter, it might be the kind of thing that could irritate people to see when they are paying top rates. We would happily stay there again and again and again!!!
We particularly enjoyed the pet friendliness and cleanliness. We have stayed in plenty of pet friendly places, but only Gabriel's has been clean and classy!
Very nice B&B...Great Location...Friendly Service.
We had a very nice stay here. Our room was very clean and had everything you could want. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious with lots of options...much better than other B&Bs we've stayed at. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything. Only downside is the price...very pricey for a B&B, but it was summertime in Cape Code...so eveyrthing is inflated. Besides the price, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend it.
Conveniently located in town. Very pet friendly. All guests strive to clean up after their pets with bags provided by the Inn. Inkeepers Elizabeth and Elizabeth are very warm and welcoming. They offer a fabulous breakfast in the Great Room daily. Guest privacy is always respected.
My boyfriend and I stayed during the only rainy stretch this summer. The accomodations were fine, clean and inviting. Even though it was August, it was rainy and cold and it would have been lovely if the fireplace was working.
Overall, I would recommend Gabriel's to a friend.
We received this gift certificate and picked Gabriel's not really knowing much about it except location close to downtown - the friendliness, the outstanding room and amenities far exceeded our expectations.
My partner and I stayed her 20 years ago on our first trip to Provincetown. This year we returned to celebrate our honeymoon. This is a fantastic place with a wonderful in house breakfast that is better than you can buy in town. The rooms are immaculate, the stafff is great and words can not describe how wonderful the Elizabeth's are.
My self and my fiance stayed memorial day weekend for our first time, we stayed in Ariel. It was stunning to say the least!!! we will absolutely be coming back, possibly before next memorial day. Thank you.

Gabriel's truly is our home away from home. The Elizabeth's and Christopher have become our second family! My wife and I always look forward to planning our stays at Gabriel's. We usually stay twice a year but would love to stay more often. We always look forward to breakfast and the talks at the main table. Your breakfast is made to order and always delicious. Everything here is top notch, the rooms, the staff, the breakfasts, and most of all the Elizabeth's. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are treated like you're the only guests on site. The staff is always ready to help with anything you may need or want. We've stayed in Ariel, Laurel, Dorothea Dix and most recently Agatha Christie and they're all amazing! The location is perfect right in the center of town and close to all the shops and restaurants. I can't say enough about Gabriel's and would recommend it to everyone! It is a must stay you won't be disappointed!

The Elizabeths are more than innkeepers, they become friends. The rooms are excellent ALWAYS. "More than meets expectations" doesn't even touch the outstanding sevice at the Ashbrooke Inn. Everyone should experience this wonderful place and people at least ONCE. This September will be our 7th visit here. We wouldn't stay anywhere else! Sheila and Vikki Butler, PA.
My wife and I have stayed at Gabiel's several times, for a weekend and for a week, in February and in August and this is our favorite place to stay in Ptown. The Elizabeth's are fabulous hosts and are so friendly and warm. Some of the rooms are absolutely luxurious and others more basic but they are all clean and comfortable and have special little touches. The breakfasts are great, made to order even in the winter. The rates might seem high but I think it's worth it for the quality of the services and accommodations.
All I could say is, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our mini weekend here. It was our 10th anniversary so, I decided to do our 1st b&b here at Gabriels. At first I was scared she was not going to like my choice of Inns. But as soon as she walked into the main house, I knew I made the right choice. The room (Jane Goodall) beautiful. It was clean and spotless. The staff very quiet, polite and accomodating. I don't think there's anything I can say bad about this Inn. It's an experience I will always remember. Thank you Elizabeths
My partner and I and now our son love Gabriel's. We would not even consider staying anywhere else in Provincetown. It is truly wonderful and the staff is very helpful. The Elizabeths are so friendly and down to earth people.
This was our first time visitng Cape Cod, and we choose Gabriel's. I now understand why you have a Diamond Collection, because this place truly is a Diamond in the rough! It is in walking distance to the central part of Ptown. We stayed in the "Susan" room, and the room was fantastic. We loved the jacuzzi tub, and the oversize shower. The room was VERY roomy, and had some very nice extras, including a decent size fridge, nice elegant sink, with various appliances. (it even had a washer/dryer) The room had a separate entrance, and was on the ground level. A visit to the Cape in the off season was an excellent idea, but the BEST idea was to stay at Gabriel's.
We had a wonderful weekend. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were fantastic. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of selections to choose from. I would highly recommend Gabriel's. We stayed in the Jane Goodall room.
The Ariel room at Gabriels was a surprise for my fiance and it literally made her cry! We got married on the deck ajoined to the room in late october and were surprised at the level of privacy we had. The bathroom was top of the line, the location and proximaty to the shops, beach, and resturants was outstanding, and the room it's self just blew us away. I highly recomend gabriels and the Arial room!
Location is perfect(center of town). The Elizabeth's and all their staff are there to make your stay as perfect as possible. Good variety for breakfast and the rooms are beautifully updated. our favorite room is Willow, for the bathroom alone, it's worth the price. No need to look anywhere else, This is the place to stay!
My partner of 7 years and I were heading to p-town for our wedding. Thoughts of a beach, a justice of the peace and us danced in our heads. When we arrived so did the weather. What to do? The ladies at Gabriel’s took care of us! We were married in their courtyard between rain storms with twinkle lights all around. They were extremely helpful when it came to our wedding and beyond. It was a lovely experience and we would highly recommend a visit!
This is a wonderful B & B. I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in my travels and generally you trade modern extras for charm and hospitality. Not so at Gabriel's. I stayed in a fabulous top floor suite that was spacious, light and beautiful. It had a glass enclosed fireplace at the foot of the king size bed, a living room area, a kitchen with granite counters but the bathroom(!) - a two person hot tub and a huge shower with about 10 nozzles including a rainshower head and steam! The towels were thick and soft (don't you hate scratchy hotel towels?). It also had it's own private deck on the third floor.
Okay, so I loved the room, but the home itself was wonderful, offering a terrific breakfast with lots of variety (eggs, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, cereals, etc.) daily. Cookies, teas and coffee were always available. Extra thoughtful touches like umbrellas (it rained every day of my stay!) A terrific great room with movies, books games etc. The location is dead center in town. We never used the car after arrival in our five day stay. And the Elizabeth's really tend to every last detail and provide warm, gracious hospitality. If you are heading in this direction, this is the place to stay.
This spring my husband, our bulldog Ziggy & I spent a wonderful weekend at Gabriel’s. Our room was beautiful, complete with French doors opening to a beautifully landscaped garden, a wonderful tempurpedic bed, a Jacuzzi, and delicious breakfasts. We felt so welcomed by the Elizabeths. As did, Ziggy – a very pet friendly lodging indeed. The location could not be better; convenient walking to Commercial Street and all that Provincetown has to offer. We are looking forward to a return visit some time in the fall to this wonderful establishment. Do not miss this stay if you are visiting Provincetown!
for our first time in Ptown, we chose the best B&B in town. The room was beautiful and spotless. the gardens are so peaceful. The breakfast was a real one. Staff was really nice and helpful. And the owners are the nicest people. It was great experience.
The two Elizabeth's who run this wonderful B&B provide exquisitely comfortable room accommodations and warm friendly atmosphere at the ample breakfast table
We really loved stay at Gabriels. We were in the center of downtown, walked everywhere and drove to the beach in 5 mins. Our dog was warmly welcomed to the inn and around town, so that made our vacation so easy. Our room was bright, comfortable and clean. I felt like I was home. The small touches made it special. The breakfast was delicious, the cookies in the afternoon were scrumptious, and it was great to be able to borrow movies and umbrellas when we had some rain. Just bring comfortable shoes for walking to the the parking lot, which is up a hill.
We just returned from a really wonderful stay at Gabriel's. The buildings are well kept and tasteful, not overly country or modern in decorating style. The courtyard is beautiful. The breakfast is generous. They were friendly with our young son, but we didn't feel like we were staying at Disneyland- it was still an adult environment. The inn is big enough so you don't feel claustrophobic, which has happened to us at smaller places. The management was present, but not overly involved. We stayed in Willow- which was big, well decorated, had a small kitchenette, and a gorgeous jacuzzi tub/shower. Lastly, the inn could not be in a better location- very close to Commercial Street, but not right in the middle of the noise. We hope to come back very soon!
My family and I can't recommend Gabriel's highly enough. It's a lovely, welcoming, cheerful, together place, in a great location. Excellent breakfasts too. Trust me: you'll like it.
We enjoyed our two nights at Gabriel's. E&E make you feel very welcome and comfortable. We were pleased with our room, the surroundings, the location, and the helpfulness of everyone we met in P-town. I would definitely recommend Gabriel's to anyone traveling to P-town.
My wife and I loved Gabriel's and look forward to returning to PTown primarily because of our experience at Gabriels. The B&B is inviting, cozy and very clean. Hostesses Elizabeth and Elizabeth are meticulous in their care of each and every guest and the staff was top notch. Breakfast each morning is an event to look forward to and if you like warm homemade cookies, look no further. Did I mention we chose to get married in the outdoor garden because of it's beauty and intimacy?
This was our first stay at Gabriel's and the service and accomodations far exceeded our expectations. Our lovely hosts Elizabeth and Elizabeth surprised us and upgraded our room upon arrival as well as generously provided champagne on ice for our anniversary! The suite included a magnificient bathroom, heavenly bed, romantic fireplace and elegant furnishings. Our room was bright and sunny, clean and private. The courtyard gardens are welcoming and relaxing with perfect night lighting. The pride of ownership at Grabriel's is evident and I thank them for opening their hearts and home to us. The history of Gabriel's is most interesting and makes us proud to be guests. We will be back!
We truly enjoyed staying at Gabriel's. Even though the town was quiet during our early March visit, we had beautiful weather and were lucky enough to see many whales off the point near the lighthouse after a nice hike out there. Sitting on a dune and enjoying the sun on our faces and justing letting the day pass by was so nice after a long Mid-West winter.
We would love to be your guests again in the very near future.
Dear Elizabeth and Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for a wonderful visit Saturday night to your fabulous Inn. We had a terrific time and plan to spend an evening later this week with our calendar so we can plan our next trip to PTOWN. We haven't stopped talking about how terrific everything was: the room, the bed, THE BATHROOM (we're a bit water logged...) the breakfast, and of course the fine hospitality. First class all the way... It was Dave's birthday weekend and he has said over and over how this was his best birthday ever (and he's had MANY to compare with...)
We took a tour of the other rooms before we left (all gorgeous) but we still love "our room," Laurel the best. It is truly spectacular. We contemplated over coffee Sunday morning calling in sick to work on Monday so we could spend another day. We simply did not want to leave.
Once again, thanks for a great time! We'll be back soon, and we'll spread the word to our friends about your wonderful Inn.
Best,
Tim, Dave, and Tucker
Great people, every detail covered, very clean, great breakfast. Fellow innkeepers make note: This is how it should be done. Winter or summer Provincetown always reminds me why I live on Cape Cod.
Gabriel’s at the Ashbrooke Inn
As a celebration of my husband and my 60th birthdays, we wanted to take the whole family, including kids, grandkids and dogs to Provincetown, Cape Cod. By chance, we found Gabriel’s online and we stayed there recently for 4 days. It exceeded all our already high expectations. The Inn was so lovely and comfortable and had warmth and charm and every amenity you could possibly imagine. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spacious and had free internet service, flat screen tv’s, multiple head showers, refrigerators, dog bowls, and so much more. The main gathering room was cozy and my daughter commented, as we were watching a late night football game together there, that she felt like she was in one of our own living rooms. The delicious breakfasts were plentiful with a lot of variety. And there were always fresh baked yummy cookies and iced tea and coffee out for anytime snacks. When we went to the beach, we were provided with beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. The grandkids were provided with cribs that made it so much easier for my daughter not to have to bring those with her. There was also an extensive library of children’s books and enough dvd’s to satisfy anyone’s taste, not to mention lots of games.
The Innkeepers are such lovely women who were available and helpful for all of our needs. They truly made our stay there so memorable and very special. I will never forget our time there and would highly recommend Gabriel’s!
We consider Gabriel's and the Elizabeth's, Chris, Miss Potter and Mister Pippin part of our extended family and enjoyed our many stays there in all four seasons. At Gabriel's you are treated not as just a guest, but as family.
It is fare that you find 5 star accommodations that not only accept pets, but embraces them.
We, as well as our dog Noah and cat Zoe look foward to returning "home" as often as possible.

A weekend away from home and work is always a treat, but a weekend spent at Gabriel's is a real pleasure. My husband and I recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Through a combination of internet search and dumb luck, we found Gabriel's.
Each of the rooms is unique, reflecting the personality of it's namesake. We stayed in "Laurel", a large, two room suite with a supercomfortable king sized bed, a sitting area, a well stocked kitchen, a luxurious bath, and 2 gas fireplaces. My favorites were the many decorating touches, such as hand made needlework on the walls, or The Mafia Cookbook in the kitchen! For the tech-savy , the flat screen TV's with DVD players, and the iHome clock radio for your iPod are great. Every detail reflects the hospitality and good humor of the owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.
Breakfast each morning was delicious. Eating at the large dining table with a diverse group of guests was a great way to learn and share tips about visiting Provincetown. We definitely hope to visit again soon.
We traveled back to Provincetown and Gabriel's. What I find great about this place is the wonderful staff, the innkeepers the 2 Elizabeths and how spotless the rooms are. As we have been there at once yearly for the past 5 years and sometimes more than once a year, we enjoy staying in the different rooms. All are named differently and do not have numbers. It is just very unique. We have stayed in Quan, Dorothea, Virginia, and now the newest unit Hope. We enjoyed being ground floor, closest unit to the park, for our dog of course. How convenient, being right behind town hall, we are a short block to Commercial St. for all the shopping and stores. We have gone many places but we continue to come back to Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn as it never disappoints. We love the grounds, as they seem to always be decorated so beautifully and the flowers are so gorgeous in the summer. We cannot wait for our next visit in the summer.
When my husband and I visited Provincetown in the past, I'd always looked longingly at the signs for inns and guest houses as we drove to the edge of town to the somewhat run-down motel that allows us to bring our dog. When we decided to go back to celebrate our anniversary, I wondered whether it was possible to stay at a nice inn and bring our yellow Lab Jeannie. Happily, it was! I found Gabriel's on-line. It promised rooms with lovely decor, fireplaces, private baths with jacuzzis and other luxuries. And, most importantly, pets were welcome! It was everything we'd hoped for. We loved our stay in the Katherine Hepburn room with fireplace, jacuzzi, kitchenette, television, music system, and a dog-bed for Jeannie! Located in the center of town, we were within walking distance of all our favorite restaurants and galleries and there was a park for Jeannie right next door. Breakfasts at Gabriel's were delicious and we enjoyed conversing with the other guests and our warm, lovely hosts, the two Elizabeths, who made everyone feel welcome and at home.
The reality of staying at Gabriel’s far surpasses what the website mentions. It’s truly a unique experience and the Elizabeth’s make your stay very enjoyable. My wife and I even decided to extend our visit an extra day and since it was mid-week, there was room at the inn! Gabriel’s is not your typical bed and breakfast, either. While many B&B’s make you feel like you are invading them, Gabriel’s is not that way. The Great Room is warm and inviting, separated from where the family lives, with a gorgeous fireplace and kitchen (love the late night fresh baked cookies, by-the-way!). The amenities are also just right with books, board games and videos for one to enjoy should you decide to stay indoors. We particularly liked the private balcony off our room that overlooked the beautiful courtyard area as well as the fireplace and Jacuzzi in our suite. Unlike most hotels that charge you for every little thing, I was impressed that everything is included for you to enjoy and the staff was always attentive to your needs without being in-your-face. This was our 25th wedding anniversary and we plan to return again to this slice of heaven (did I mention that our room was fabulous!). Thank You Elizabeth’s for everything, we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Wonderful hostesses, awesome buffet breakfasts, and beautiful gardens. No detail has been left out in the making of this Inn!!! Its close to everything yet secluded and private!!! Reasonably priced....we will definitley stay here again....
From the minute we arrived, we were treated as though we were old friends although it was our first stay. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We made frequent use of the balcony (Quan Yin). We needed peace and quiet and we got what we needed. The bed? What can we say, that was the best weeks sleep we have gotten in a long time (or since for that matter). Breakfast is not your traditional, muffin and donuts and is absolutely delicious. Everyone (all the other guests as well) was so very friendly. The proximity to Commercial Street without actually being ON Commercial Street is a definite plus. We can not wait to come back again.
We have just celebrated our seventeenth anniversary, and our twentieth visit to Provincetown - all of them spent at Gabriel's at The Ashbrook Inn. Each year we look forward to see the additions, changes and TLC that go into this home away from home. We are never disappointed. Everyone is made to feel like family - from the personal greetings & tour of the property (and beautiful gardens), to the wonderful daily gathering of people from around the world at the breakfast table in The Great Room, no detail is too small for your comfort. Jacuzzi tubs complete with steam units...Heaven!
Each room has its own story to tell, celebrating the life of a spectacular woman. Calling the owners "innkeepers" does not do them justice. Their passion for what they do speaks volumes.
Located beneath the tower-the signature landmark of Provincetown, and beside the beautiful Pilgrim Memorial Park, it is convenient to dining, entertainment, shopping, or just plain relaxation.
We have already made our plans to come back for next year. As far as we are concerned, there is nowhere else to stay in P-Town!
We have made this our home away from home for seventeen years. After 20 visits, our experience has gotten more enjoyable each year. To be welcomed as family on every arrival, it surpasses any place we have stayed -hands down !!
Each year there are improvements that certainly are beyond our expectations. We have seen many transformations, additions and subtactions that have made our stay more comforable and memorable that we cannot wait to make our next reservation each time.
The personal touch is like no other we have experienced anywhere.
This is the only place in P-Town that is the place to be!!
We just spent a few nights at Gabriel's At The Ashbrooke Inn and can not say enough about this Inn. Everything was just perfect. Convenient location, close enough to everything but not too close ,for some quiet time. Beautifully decorated rooms
( love the jacuzzi) and common areas including the wonderful garden areas. Hot cooked breakfast in the morning !! What a great thing ! Also have to mention the delicious cookies.
I can not think of one bad thing to say about this fabulous Inn.
The owners have taken great care in trying to see that everything you could possibly need or want is available. I only hope I can return for another visit.
We booked last minute, on a whim to drive to Provincetown and relax. We spoke to Elizabeth who was able to get us a lovely room, which had all the amenities we would ever have wanted. I cannot say enough about how nice the women were to deal with. We loved the accomodations and the amenity basket was a nice touch. Best of all was the homemade breakfast we had, or the other choices of simple items that were just the right touch. We will return again, and enjoy the closeness to the wharf, nightlife, and shopping. We had a great trip.
In all my 30+ years staying in Provincetown, I finally found my dream location, Gabriel’s at the Ashbrooke Inn. A beautifully appointed setting, everything is reflective of the owners’ good taste, warmth and careful attention to every detail. A home-cooked breakfast with the owners and other successful, interesting and friendly women who stay at Gabriel’s is unique. A warm and accepting environment, Gabriel’s allows as much
privacy or involvement as one chooses. Every guest room is unique in design, themed based on the lives of women of distinction. All rooms are WiFi and there’s even a loaner laptop!! I highly recommend Gabriel’s for anyone who appreciates elegance.
We stayed at Gabriel's in the late 90's and returned twice in 2006. It has only gotten better. There has been much remodeling to the rooms, and the dining room is wonderful. We loved being able to meet people from all over during our stay. Our friends got married on the beach and we stayed at Gabriel's. The 2 women innkeepers were really nice, always helpful, and made our friend's honeymoon stay special. I would recommend staying here just for the breakfast which was included in our stay. We loved the grounds, the rooms had lots of amenities, and everyone in our group loved their rooms. We plan on returning more often. We were made to feel special and we loved how we did not have to drive anywhere. Gabriel's is so close to everything, we walked everywhere. Thanks for making our visit so special.
A stay at Gabriel’s at The Ashbrooke Inn is a study in thoughtfulness. From the time you make your reservation until the time you check out, your every desire is taken care of. From the extraordinary appointed guest rooms, to the gardens and breakfast, there is an anticipation of your comfort before you even realize it yourself. During our many stays at Gabriel’s, we have found the breakfast table a wonderful place to share yesterday’s adventures, relax, and enjoy the Elizabeths and other guests. Shopping, restaurants, clubs, and Cape Cod Bay are a short walk away. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
