Carpe Diem Guesthouse & SPA

I love Carpe Diem - it's luxurious, the rooms are lovely, the food is great, and the hosts are very welcoming. Can't say enough good things.

My husband and I first stayed at Carpe Diem for our wedding in P'town in 2009 and have returned several times since then. Carpe Diem is an oasis in the middle of the fun craziness of Provincetown. From check inn to check out you'll feel pampered: the rooms (all different but equally charming and for different budget sizes) are super clean with a lot of light, very comfortable beds; the afternoon wine & cheese hour is the perfect opportunity to meet other guests; the spa is FANTASTIC (the best steam room I've ever seen!); and then the breakfast: everything you could desire! From fresh muffins and bread, perfect bircher muesli, fresh fruit, great coffee to the daily special - simply great and usually we can't even do a lunch after that. And last but not least, Carpe Diem lives mostly from the 3 incredible nice innkeepers and all their equally nice staff! You are fantastic, guys!

We recently spent a week at Carpe Diem - our first visit - but certainly not our last. Not only is the place beautiful and well maintained, but its owners and staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. We met a variety of nice people from all over, and most have stayed here multiple times. Absolutely wonderful.

There are not enough superlatives to describe Carpe Diem. All I can say is you get what you pay for. The staff give top class service, and are extremely welcoming. You can have a fantastic breakfast every morning, freshly prepared.The rooms are fantastically comfortable. The location is quiet and restful, while still close to all the action in P/town. You even have an extremely relaxing spa area with a great hot tub, steam room and sauna to unwind in. I'm sure there are cheaper guesthouses in P/town, but I doubt you will find many, which are quite as good value as Carpe Diem. I look forward to returning next year.

Provincetown is way the heck out on the end of Cape Cod, but it's a great place, and Carpe Diem is a great b&b to stay. The rooms are small-to-modest sized but very comfy and well appointed. The grounds are lovely, and there's a spa + hot tub on site. The staff is super-friendly and the food is quite good. It has free parking for guests and the location can't be beat. You're less than a minute walk away from the main commercial strip in P-town, with plenty of food, shopping + entertainment. The nearest beach is a 5-minute drive (or short bike ride) away. You're also not far from other fun stuff on the Cape: more beaches, the summer baseball league, whale watches from P-town are just down the street, and you're ~20 minute drive from Wellfleet and the Cape Cod National Seashore wildlife refuge. About the only downside to CD is that it isn't cheap, but if you're willing to splurge a bit, this is a fine place to do it.

We have stayed here several times in the last few years and always have a wonderful time. Rooms are nice and well cared for, hosts are pleasant and chatty when you want them to be, and quiet if you don't want chatty and the breakfasts are delicious and filling. We always feel welcome and appreciated here. They take good care of us.

My partner were extremely pleased with our accomodations at Carpe Diem. After an extensive traffic delay which brought us to Provincetown after midnight, a welcoming envelope greeted us and we found an immaculate, beautifully decorated room with very comfortable bed, tv and wireless internet. The comfort of the room made a cold and overcast (sometime rainy) weekend a snuggly retreat from a busy life. Although close to Commercial Street, the guesthouse was a very quiet place to return from the noise and crowds on Commercial. The breakfast was well presented and we were greeted with a smile from our hosts or the breakfast staff. They always inquired how the previous day went or if we needed any information for the day ahead. The patio was a great place to meet other guests and we had a great time over the wine and cheese provided by the host and chatting with some Canadians from Vancouver. My partner enjoyed the spa facilities and said they were as clean and well designed as the rest of the grounds. Warm welcoming guests - while allowing for lots of privacy and rest. We had a very memorable stay. Many nice touches - I would gladly recommend this place and plan to return again.

Seize the day! From the moment we arrived our luxurious vacation truly started. We were greeted by friendly staff and invited to a lovely wine & cheese party on the patio. Our accommodations were top notch. Every morning started off with an amazing home cooked breakfast. Choices range from seasonal fruit & yogurt if you’re going to the beach or something more substantial such as a range of homemade breads or Jurgen’s special of the day. We had an opportunity to enjoy amazing apple crepes! We are looking forward to our annual trip this summer and will unwind at the new Namasté Spa. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when we visit Provincetown!

From start to finish our trip was a wonderful experience. We stayed in a beautifully decorated room with wonderful accommodations. The guesthouse is located in the perfect spot in P-town. Close to everything downtown, but far enough away to easily access a romantic spot or two. Despite the poor weather, the staffs' sunny dispositions more than made for a charming experience. Dinner reservations were made with the help of the staff and the breakfast was truly marvelous. I'm glad we stayed here; I wouldn't recommend anything less!
