This B&B was a nice cozy getaway for Halloween and included great visits with other guests and with Suzie herself, who is charming as anything! The space is a little small but nothing important because most of our time was spent elsewhere. The cottage is very clean and has tons of character! I would recommend this place to anyone for an authentic experience at Marblehead.

Positively charming and quite cozy. Suzi is an absolute love. Making every attempt to please and charm her guests. The guestrooms and shared bath have ,eveidently, been remodeled since some of the reviews so there were no problems showering or with mirrors for us, breakfast is a lovely continental spread with fresh fruit, coffee and pastries. If you like cozy, sweet and charming, this is the guest cottage for you.

4,0 sur 5A cozy and fun stay

I went here with my girlfriend in October (2011) and it was our first stay at a B&B. We were met with the warmest greetings, which made us feel completely at home. I believe that to be the crux of a B&B; Susan clearly believes this too. She is sweet and really helped us have a truly positive first B&B stay. We plan on returning in warmer weather. And to any naysayers I have only to say, if you prefer the homogenized negligence and sterility of chain hotels stay there and keep your opinion to yourselves.

4,6 out of 5The Perfect Weekend
octobre 24, 2011
My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip into Salem, and we thought it would do us good to stay a little bit out of the way of the city since it was the weekend before Halloween. We found this really darling, cozy, quiet place just minutes outside Salem. Suzi, the owner, literally greeted us with open arms. She was so warm and welcoming, and even after an entire day of travel, our spirits were lifted by how adorable her home was and her happiness to have us there. She was extremely hospitable, and gave us amble directions and advice in touring the city of Salem and Gloucester. The view from our room looked right out onto the harbor, we had a lovely pair of french doors, a porch, and also a beautiful sun rise each morning. The house is uniquely decorated; very pink, but homey, and cozy. She turned down our sheets every night before we came home to sleep. She provided fresh towels and sheets everyday, allowed us to come and go as we pleased, fresh fruit, deliciously brewed coffee, and warm conversation waited for us on the morning of our departure home. we could not have asked for a better B&B experience. If you have somehow lost what it means to go and stay at a B&B, I would not recommend this place, as well as if you enjoy the open sterility of a hotel room and isolation from your caretaker, you may find enjoyment staying elsewhere. But never have I ever had an experience quite like this one, where I felt entirely taken care of and thought after. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone seeking the charm of boarding in New England B&B for a few days. And we plan on returning next year!
5 out of 5A treasure in historic Marblehead !!!
octobre 09, 2011
Nestled in historic Marblehead Harbor, this was by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever experienced. Our hostess Suzi made us feel so relaxed and at home. Her constant smile and warm attitude was equal to her colorful and beautiful Victorian cottage. Our king sized bed and cozy room replenished our strength from a great day in Salem. The morning breakfast was full of fresh fruits and pastries (best coffee as well!!!). Everything about this bed and breakfast was above and beyond our expectations. We are already planning a return trip! :-) -Anthony and Lisette
4,8 out of 5A little cottage with a whole lot of charm!

Lady Winette was such a pleasant find! Such a fun feel to the cottage, every room reflected the vibrant personality of Suzi. From her own seascape paintings to piles of reading glasses in every color! So many B&B's are just a room in a house....not this one! Lady Winette had an atmosphere that made me want to stay a few more days!
4,0 out of 5Amazing Weekend Getaway and Hope to Return Soon!

What a lovely place!! I had no idea what I was in store for because a friend, local to Marblehead, found A Lady Winette Cottage for me. He told me I was in for a treat and he was right. When my fiance and I arrived, it was after nightfall so we didn't have a chance to truly take in the amazing view from our bedroom until the next morning. When we awoke, the morning light streamed softly through the window and from bed I gazed upon the most beautiful harbor filled with hundreds of sailboats. The gracious hostess, Suzi, prepared fresh fruit and muffins for our breakfast which we ate, along with our fill of juice and coffee, from her front porch downstairs (surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers). Suzi didn't interfere with our relaxing breakfast but when we engaged her in conversation, she turned out to be the most delightful b&b owner I've ever encountered and later showed me her backyard garden as well. Part of our stay was spent out and about in Marblehead — which was filled with fun little shops and restaurants, as well as a few colorful watering holes and yacht clubs. The rest was taken as an opportunity for quality rest and relaxation. The patio off the front bedroom was large, partially shaded and an amazing spot to hang out with my sweetheart, read a bit or catch a nap. When we were ready for a change, we caught the end of the U.S. Open on the large TV in our bedroom. All in all it was an amazing weekend getaway and I hope we're able to return soon.
