We had a good view of the marina. The queen size bed was comfortable. There was coffee and hot water for tea all day along with snacks. Bob muffins and Pumpkin pancakes for breakfast that were very good.

This was suppose to be a break away from the long 2015 winter. A break away to stroll the streets and shop a bit...just to reconnect and relax. It turned out to be such a "Culinary Surprise" The breakfast was "so spectacular!!" with fresh fruit and and French Toast made fresh from Challa bread (Jewish egg bread) with a blueberry compote ontop!! Soft music in the background. Chef Bob of Inn At The Canal suggested the Bayard Inn restaurant for dinner and there we were "treated" to mouth watering filet mignon, fresh squash and for desert their famous Ice Cream (DuPont recipe-carmel, butterscotch and choc.chips) out of this world creamy-smooth and very tasty. My husband had the fresh made yellow sponge cake layered with carmel and salt. It was a perfect getaway with the sunrise in our window view to top it off..and everyone from the Tap Room to Bayard Inn to Inn At the Canal were so welcoming and pleasant to talk too. Treat yourself - we booked another wknd. in August we liked it so much. Looking forward to the summer sunrise and culinary treats of the summer season.

We spent a quiet night at the Inn At The Canal to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. Bob greeted us at the door (and any other time we ran into one another) by name, and was very hospitable. Our room (the suite on the top floor) was lovely, and like having our own little apartment. Breakfast was delicious, and although we went with his suggestion Bob would've cooked us anything we wanted, I think. There was ample parking and we were right in the center of town/shops/restaurants. A great location and easy getaway for us!

We had a lovely stay at this historic inn in Chesapeake City, MD. It was right around the holidays so people were starting to get out their Christmas decorations, and sales were going on in the boutiques on Bohemia Ave. The innkeeper is friendly and hospitable, and they make sure you have everything you need. I would definitely recommend staying here!

I was impressed by the standard of the property - outstanding! The service was excellent, location was great, and was very pleased how organized the owners were from our champagne order and the best chocolate bark (made by the owner/chef) to the breakfast - awesome! Will certainly go back! Thanks
