  • The Five Gables Inn overlooking Linekin Bay. Tucked out of the way in East Boothbay, the Five Gables is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Yet a short five minute drive puts you in the middle of Boothbay Harbor with windjammers, trips to Monhegan Island, kayaking, hiking, whale watching, lobster eating, galleries and shopping.

    Each morning indulge yourself in our famous multi-course breakfast in the sunlit breakfast room, or wander to the always inviting porch overlooking the water. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the inn's formal, yet comfortable common room, where a crackling fire entices you to curl up and savor the warm, restful atmosphere. Many guests just sink into welcoming wing-back chairs, while reading selections from our library.
    Room 14 is our largest room. You may feel like a sea captain in here. Located under the 2 large gables, you'll know you're in Maine when you see the shimmering view of Linekin Bay from this room. After dark, when the view is covered by night, you can enjoy the seating area in front of the working fireplace with its antique marble mantle. King bed. Private bath with shower and skylight.
    The star of Room 15 is the seascape mural that goes up and over the bed painted by a local artist. Sleep under hand painted clouds and billowing white awning. This is another one of our gable rooms; with slanted ceilings and a charming window seat with a view of the bay. Large private bath with tub/shower.
    Room 6 has a wonderful view of the bay and a working fireplace which dominate this charming room with handmade and hand painted headboard on the queen bed. This lovely room is always a favorite of our repeat guests. Private bath with tub/shower.

    Tirant son nom de l'éminent pignons fenêtré long de son front, le Five Gables Inn est situé sur une pelouse en pente surplombant la baie et de l'Est Linekin Boothbay, un village tranquille du navire de construction. Une fois une vingtaine de deux pièces, trois hôtel bain, la structure imposante a subi un remodelage de bon goût qui a réduit les chambres à seize toutes avec salle de bain privée. Cinq ont une cheminée. Le mobilier est traditionnel avec les détails du pays épurée. Un petit déjeuner buffet gastronomique est préparée par le chef Culinary Institute formés propriétaire /.

    Modern Conveniences in Days Gone By Atmosphere

    Loved this Inn! With plenty of electrical outlets for charging our gadget batteries our human batteries were charged with the charm of this renovated Inn. Mike and De, as well as Lisa, friendly and upbeat, were very helpful in planning our days. Chef Mike's breakfasts could not be beat. The minute I crossed into Maine, my first time there, I fell in love with the state. This Inn kept the spark going.

    Mike and De are the consumate hosts! The breakfasts are to die for. Great place to just relax and let the world go by. Mike and De also have super knowledge of great things to see and do around the area. The Botanical Gardens are a must. Five Gables Inn is on our calendar every year!

    We booked this last minute, and took a chance over the phone. This is one of the best kept secrets in the area. Knowledgeable hosts with endless ideas for activities and sights to see. Wonderful accomodation and breakfast is delicious

    A Wonderful Start To Our Vacation

    Just returned from our first trip to New England, which started with three nights at Five Gables....what a brilliant start to our two weeks. Excellent location and, despite it being October, we were still able to sit on the porch for breakfast every morning. Speaking of which, the breakfasts were to die for - all cooked by Mike. YUM!!!!! Mike and De were excellent hosts, made us feel very welcome and had a superb knowledge of the area. It was just such a shame that we had to leave.....but we will most definitely be visiting the Five Gables Inn again.

    Wonderful Inn and Innkeepers

    This was our 2nd stay here and both stays were great. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is outstanding. It doesn't get any better then sitting on the front porch eating Mike's and De's yummy breakfast. The Five gables is a must. We will be back ASAP.

    We stayed at the Five Gables several times in the last ten years and there are few experiences as consistent as staying at this inn. Mike and Dee Kennedy are exceptional hosts. Perfect location, outstanding breakfast and impeccable rooms!
