    Wonderful B & B

    mars 17, 2013

This is our fourth stay at Butler Greenwood...I consider it my second home.We have stayed in two of the cottages, Tree House was the one we stayed in. It is very private...the back patio has a porch swing and multi level deck. Inside was a huge king size bed, full kitchen, walk in shower and great jacuzzi tub. We scheduled another stay in the Tree House for the next year as well. It was just as charming as before. However, when we wanted to reserve the Tree House for the next year it was not available for our timeframe. We decided to try the Chase cottage. The Chase cottage is not as private...but WOW! We were so surprised to wake up to Humphrey ...a big beautiful peacock. It was love at first site, at least on my part. He stayed while I took numerous pics of him...then he decided to move on...Ms.Ann says the Chase cottage is his favorite place to roust, especially after a rain. You have the pond, ducks and awake to the chatter of birds. What a great feeling. So we are ending our fourth stay at Butler Greenwood with a reservation for next year in the Dovecote cottage. Can't wait until we return again. Thank you Ann Butler and Chase. Brenda

    Dovecote Getaway

    mai 16, 2012

This is not your typical B&B. Its much better. Especially if you want a romantic retreat. You are in your own cottage away from everyone else. Every spot has an outdoor deck and a view. All are different and charming and could be lived in. Full kitchen, bathtowels, etc. The Dovecote was amazing. The old windmill had a huge deck out back, plenty of firewood, 2 bedrooms, 3 stories. Just as cute and unique as could be. They stock your fridge with a simple breakfast (croissants, muffins, fruit, milk, oj). I suggest you bring your own breakfast stuff and cook brunch. Stay in and enjoy it. No awkward dinners with strangers. You have the whole place to yourself. Plus the grounds are beautiful in the morning, and you might see deer grazing. Its a wonderful place! Be patient with the service. One lady is running that whole show. Tours and all.

    PEACEFUL RELAXATION

    avril 10, 2008

We enjoyed our 2 nights at this B & B with its peaceful setting on beautiful grounds with lovely live oak trees. A male peacock named Humphrey who roosted on the deck railing of our cottage added a unique charm. The food at the Oxbow restaurant in town was wonderful. The owner of the B & B was polite at all times but all of us felt "coolness" under the surface. The breakfast fell far short of expectations. Two muffins & two bananas for four people seemed odd. Plently of coffee and tea was available along with juice. All in all we expected a little better supply of food. We decided it wasn't a bad stay but not one we wanted to repeat.

    Amazing place

    mars 19, 2007

We first stayed at the Gazebo. It is a perfect place for a couple celebrating their love, intimacy and great details are the signature. We loved it so much that we had to go back. The second time we went to the Dovecote, a three storeys cottage decorated with great taste. A different experience, but still unique and adorable. We are expecting to go back again. we are delighted with the high quality of the place, the complete intimacy that we enjoyed and the great details that made each experience memorable.
