    Toutes les chambres ont des bains privés. Voici une vue de la salle de chêne avec ses bois faux unique peint fin, trompe d'oeil afin de convaincre vous allez toucher assurer il n'est pas vrai paneled de chêne.
    Le hall principal spacieux s'exécute la longueur de la maison (près de la moitié un bloc!) et comprend le costume élaboré porté par propriétaire David Johnson, un ancien roi de l'un des plus grands défilés de Mardi Gras de la ville.
    La salle de Magnolia doté d'une tête de lit doré cerner une scène de plantation de handpainted.
    Invités peuvent choisir de profiter de leur petit déjeuner dans la cuisine ou à la table à manger antique dans le salon.
    La salle Sweet Olive comporte deux lits doubles et portes français conduisant à une véranda privée donnant sur le jardin de côté.
    Les murs de la salle Palmetto sont recouverts d'un rendu subtil de ce Sud emblématique végétation de marais de la Louisiane.

    Mettant en vedette peints à la main un faux bois traitements dans chaque chambre ce Bungalow créole magnifiquement restauré est une œuvre d'art aides familiaux résidants, dans l'historique Faubourg Marigny juste downriver partir du quartier français. Jardins luxuriants entourent la maison airy. Le quartier de découvrir orné créole cottages et certains les plus populaires sites locaux pour le jazz, Latin et la musique contemporaine, le long du corridor de musique de rue français à proximité à pied. Utne Magazine appelé notre quartier un le "hippest en Amérique" avec ses galeries d'art, clubs, restaurants et vibe légèrement nomade.

    Sweet Olive's new owner, Nancy Gunn, has enhanced the beautiful painted walls of the parlors by reducing clutter and finding great furniture and rugs to compliment them. She cooks up marvelous breakfast specialities like apple bread pudding and eggs Florentine. The location is likewise enhanced by

    the recent opening of The Healing Center just across the street, with shops , a fine restaurant and a great venue, Cafe Istanbul, for music, theater, and readings. Nancy's warm hospitality, along with the unique physical plant, makes this a great choice for travellers looking for something different, in all the best ways.

    We found this to be a totally delightful place to stay in new Orleans. A very cool old house very well decorated, and Nancy and staff were charming and helpful. Highly recommended.

    Nola retreat

    We stayed in the Olive room, which was perfect, as it had a separate door to go through, not to bother anyone. The house was perfect for what we wanted. It was far enough away from the craziness of the French Quarter and it's nestled in the midst of the Marigny district, which has a cozy neighborhood feel.

    Our 2-bedroom suite is the best value for a family, friends, or two couples traveling together. Each bedroom includes a queen bed, armoire, dresser, and full bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. The Oak room, in wood-tones, is lovingly hand-painted with a faux bois treatment. The Magnolia room features soft, blue-green walls with magnolia blossoms and an antique marble dresser. The connecting door between the rooms can be kept open or locked for privacy. In-room amenities include: hair dryer, iron, ironing board, soap, shampoo, conditioner, AC/Heat, wi-fi, bottled water.

    I spent hours researching accommodations in the New Orleans area. This was, by far, the absolute best value I came across. Before arriving, I was actually worried it might all be too good too good to be true. But Sweet Olive was even MORE than I could have asked for! -Unbeatable price -One of a kind decor -Free parking! -Walking distance from all tourist sites (about 10 min walk from French Quarter) -Free breakfast and afternoon snacks :) -Honor bar with wine, beer, and soda in the kitchen -Wonderful, informative, accessible hosts! This was my first trip to New Orleans, and I will never stay anywhere else on future trips. Highly recommended to couples or other small, low-key groups.

    We arrived early and didn't dig through the Mardi Gras beads to find the doorbell on the gate but Jessica was never-the-less very welcoming as we hollered and waved at her the length of the property. We only briefly met one of our hosts, who was quite cordial, but Jessica went over and above every day we were there (even washing my souvenir plastic cup collection!) The only issue we had was barely visable (if you've had more than two drinks) steps from the bathroom to the main part of the suite. My somewhat clumsy husband managed to miss them on two separate occasions. Luckily, he was slightly sedated and pretty limber both times. :-) Oh wait- the other issue was that they did not accept the B&B.com gift certs as they said the B&B owners were charged too much to use them. But it was still a good value and I'd still stay there again.
