I have stayed at several B&Bs over the years, but none can come close to this one. It is a beautiful home. This house is over 200 years old but is very well maintained. I have the room off the porch. It had a king size, four post bed. The ceiling, I’m guessing were at least twelve feet high. Hard wood floor and a chandelier. All the furniture were antique. Amazing. Joe asked me when we first met what brought to New Orleans. I told him it was for the food. I live in Alaska and no where can I find Cajun food. I am from Texas and used to go to New Orleans all the time. I started missing the food so much, I decided to go back. Joe proceeded to give me a map and marked all the restaurants he thought I would enjoy. I visited all he suggested, some more than once, and he was right, they were great. The inn is located in St. Charles Street, so all I had to do was hop on the trolley and pretty much go where ever I wanted to go. This inn is located in the Garden District filled with many great homes. Taking the trolley one way would let you see the rest of the Garden District, and a 15 minute ride in the other direction would get you to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. It is a great location to be in New Orleans. Joe has all the tour and tourist brochures and is able to book most of them for you. Like I said, I have visited New Orleans many times so I have done all the tours I was interested in but he did book me a city tour. They will pick you up right there, which makes it easy. Joe and Bebe have a lot of tricks and secrets they tell you to help you enjoy your activity to the fullest. To sum it up, staying at the Avenue Inn was one of the best experience I have ever had on vacation. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants experience what a real Bed and Breakfast is really like. Thank you Joe and Bebe!

Wonderful B&B close to the Audubon Park and Zoo! Close enough to the French Quarter that you can easily come and go. Nice continental breakfast with a patio to enjoy your food on. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Joe and BeBe go out of their way to make your stay great and easy. They had a ton of great information for our first trip to New Orleans. I would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in NOLA.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast for four nights in the beginning of March. We wanted to stay away from the French Quarter but have easy access to it. The Inn was perfect for us - in a lovely, quiet neighborhood and easy to reach everywhere else in the city. We were conveniently able to stroll down Magazine Street and all through the Garden District from there. Joe and Bebe made us feel at home immediately, welcoming us with warm cookies and a great sense of humor. They're very knowledgeable about the local restaurant scene and happy to give recommendations. We stayed in the king room (Joe calls it the "Mardi Gras" room because it looks onto St. Charles). It has its own private entrance on the porch, a comfortable bed, and big windows that let in lots of good natural light. It’s very quiet despite being in the front of the house. It rained for much of our trip so we had a nice ritual of waking up late and getting a beignet breakfast at the coffee shop next door. We enjoyed having our breakfast on the rocking chairs on the porch or at the cafe table in our room. The Inn is beautiful so I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any of the rooms. We loved our stay at the Avenue Inn and would definitely return next time we're in New Orleans. Thanks Joe and Bebe!

Absolutely beautiful home located in the heart of the New Orleans Garden District on the famous St. Charles Avenue. We stayed here for our "baby moon" vacation and were more than pleased with the relaxing atmosphere that the house created. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and all of our needs were met from complimentary bottled water to snacks and a great breakfast. Joe and Bebe are the homeowners and are there when you need them. We highly recommend staying here is you are looking for that true authentic New Orleans B & B without all the hussle and bussle of a hotel.

This is at least my 5th stay at this Inn and feel like I am at home every time I stay. Joe and Bebe are always extremely friendly and accommodating. They always seem to get us reservations at all of the New Orleans favorites such as Commanders Palace, Upperline, and Emerils. I can't wait to go back.

This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it was awesome! The house is beautiful and especially the front patio during the parades. Nedra was awesome and very helpful and she made us feel very at home and relaxed. We definitely felt safe during the parades because they had security in the front and back during those times. I went for a couple runs in the mornings and I felt very safe around their neighborhood. I am very happy that we did not stay in the middle of the french quarter because it was crazy down there and I felt like we had a "home" to sleep in when we wanted to get away from all of that. This place is great and we will definitely stay there again next time.

Came into town so my daughter could take a look at Tulane. Loved staying at the Avenue Inn -- Joe and Bebe truly look after their guests and help out with restaurant recommendations, local knowledge, etc. House is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, and its quiet, which suited us perfectly. Like another reviewer said, only way you know other guests are in the house is at breakfast.

Great B & B, the owners were great and helpful with special logistic tips on our visit during Mardi Gras Also they arranged a reservation to a great restaurant within walking distance that was excellent. Accommodations and service were outstanding, and the breakfasts on their outside porch was a great way to start off your day. Would visit again when returning to NOLA, : great residence, great location, nice folks as your hosts.
