B & B's all have the same thing... rooms and breakfast. But at the Five Continents, you are treated like royalty. We stayed in the North American Cottage and enjoyed sitting on the front porch as well as having our own private home. The walk down Esplanade to Frenchmen St was about 12 minutes... much needed for the great food we ate. Speaking of great food- the meals served here is five STAR! The owners had a genuine feel when it came to service. AND that is the reason we will be going here again. Thanks

Having read numerous reviews, we were delighted with the warm welcome, and GREAT breakfast to start our busy days in N.O . Peter has a very nice location close to Downtown and the French Quarter, ideal for those that want to walk , and party. We highly recommend 5 Continents, it exceeded our expectations.

The host, Peter, was gracious, helpful, and accessible. I've stayed here before and have always been very satisfied. The location makes visiting New Orleans more manageable.

My husband and I stayed at Five Continents for several nights while visiting New Orleans for Jazz Fest. It was walking distance to the fair grounds. We stayed in the cottage. The room was very spacious, more like a mini apartment. Peter was wonderfully hospitable and personable and his homemade breakfasts were delicious. A million times better than staying in a hotel.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the North American Cottage. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and very peaceful. We enjoyed the proximity to the French Quarter and found it easy to get around the city. The breakfast each morning is absolutely amazing and even though we did not get the chance to meet the owners (they were on vacation), we were very well treated by both David and Becky. We will recommend Five Continents B&B to all of our friends and will definitely be back!

Our stay here was one of the most memorable. The facilities were exceptionally well cared for. The staff, including Akko their dog were the most friendly and conscientious we have had on any of our trips. We would return here on any occasion for a New Orleans visit. This a high value B & B.

Immediately upon arriving Peter made my husband and I feel welcomed! The inn was beautiful our two room suite was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were amazing and prepared as requested. Peter and Walter made us feel right at home and we all had great conversations during our breakfasts with other guests. The only problem was that we had only 3 days to enjoy the accomodations and the beautiful city of New Orleans. We will be back!! Thank you for everything!

The European Suite is our premier accommodation and was once the Masters Quarters of the house. The bright and airy sitting room with access to a private gallery that overlooks the historic Esplanade allows guests a private retreat to unwind after adventuring to one of our city's many historic attractions. It is appointed with a comfortable sleeper sofa that opens to a queen size bed. A pair of easy chairs , coffee table and 18th Century Trumeau mirror complete the rooms furnishings. On the walls are a collection of lithographs of the owner's travels throughout Europe. Both sitting room and the bedroom have 12-foot ceilings and retain original fireplace mantles and ceramic tile hearths. Guests are asked to use the gallery for smoking. There is a small refrigerator in the bedroom closet stocked with complimentary soda's, juice and bottled water.
The Asian Suite is a tribute to the ancient kingdoms of China, Japan and Korea. The bedroom has a queen size bed covered with layers of decorator cloth, a down comforter during the winter and 400 count cotton bedding as well as an assortment of pillows to pamper you. The suite is painted in relaxing, luxurious, hues of Wedgwood blue. A collection of Oriental Art adorn the walls and Chinese Tensing carpets cover the floors.
The Eurasian Suite consists of the Egyptian and the Middle East rooms. It offers two adjoining bedrooms with almost 600 square feet of luxurious space. The suite has access to the semi-private outdoor gallery overlooking the courtyard. Guests are asked to use the rear gallery for smoking.
In contrast to the main house, the cottage celebrates the "New World". It is furnished with classic American Shaker style furnishings and James J. Audubon lithographs adorn the walls. The queen size bed is outfitted with 400 count cotton bedding and is piled high with an assortment of pillows to pamper you. The private porch over looks the garden and beckons you to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere after a hard day of sightseeing in the French Quarter. The North American Cottage has Queenbed with roll-in /walk-in shower, mini-bar and microwave.
The Middle Eastern Room is a bright spacious room with it's own entrance from the rear gallery of the house. Richly appointed with a European Full bed and large bathroom.
The Egyptian Room is a spacious room with beautifully renovated bathroom. It has a Queen-sized bed. The room is off the main hall on the second floor.
