"We recently spent 4 nights at the Golden Gate Hotel, our first stay at this lovely place, a special trip for our anniversary. Our flight arrived late in the evening Wednesday night and the staff was so kind in checking us in to our room quickly, after midnight. The croissants, coffee and juice every morning were excellent and a great start to our day. Staff was just so friendly and helpful at all times. The room was perfect, not huge but so thoughtfully arranged. Every little detail was attended to. Where I looked for a hook for my coat, there it was, and so on. Great antique furnishings, and hallways wonderfully decorated with vintage photos and whimsical painted details. Of course, perfectly clean, and a very comfortable place to be! Also fun to have a resident cat & dog on the premises. Location was very good, an easy walk from BART and not too far from other points of interest. Would definitely stay here again!"
