Blueberry Sauce

Ingrédients

  • 2 cups Fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch

  1. Place blueberries in a saucepan.
  2. Add water, sugar, cinnamon and salt and bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer until berries are tender for about 15 minutes.
  4. Stirring constantly, add cornstarch blended with lemon juice and continue to simmer until sauce is clear and thickened for about 3 minutes.
  5. Cool, store in airtight container in refrigerator. Makes approximately 2 cups. Great on pancakes and waffles.
