This place felt like it was wayyyy off the beaten path, but in reality was just a few miles from Russellville. Tom and Judith were great hosts and Judith's breakfast was fantastic. One tip - if you have large luggage stay in the Dragonfly room. Trying to get my suitcase up the spiral staircase almost killed Tom!

Beautiful grounds; great fishing; peaceful; hosts very amicable; guest house extremely well thought out, designed, and decorated. There are two bedrooms upstairs with showers, half bath downstairs and two sitting areas, one up and one down; sleeper love seat, comfortable couch. Full kitchen, laundry, coffee bar, beautiful dining area with china etc. Spiral staircase kids would love (or the kid in you). I don't recommend for large folks-one bedroom has an outside entrance/small deck and stairs. If you want the place to yourself, you must pay for both the rooms-okay if you're on a friend's weekend/family get together. Otherwise you will most likely be sharing the place with strangers; that may be okay with you-you'' have to coordinate use of rooms, full kitchen and outside areas; basically it's like sharing a very nice apartment/small home. The price is reasonable for one bedroom for one person or couple. If I had to pay for the whole place, I'd want it to be with good friends or family; it's a bit too close quarters to share with strangers if you don't really enjoy each other's company. But then, you'd get that in a typical b&b, so it depends what kind of experience you're needing-solitude, meet new folks, romantic weekend, girlfriend's weekend/mom daughter time, or for writing/retreat. We plan to return when we can; would love to see it in all seasons. USE THE BUG REPELLENT! Your own or what they generously provide-this is tick heaven; we hiked on the trails which weren't mowed real well in places (we were warned) and were covered in ticks and mosquito bites-our own fault, I'm just saying you NEED to use the bug spray LIBERALLY. Had we done that, the overnight would have been nearly perfect. This is a jewel in the woods and I highly recommend it.

What a charming place. We really enjoyed our stay and getting to know the owners. The location, accomodations and food was all good. We are planning another trip in the fall. Their is a great Italian restaurant in Russellville - Ariella's - if you come to stay here make sure you check it out - you will think you are in a large city based on the quality and ambiance. Enjoy.

I cannot say enough good things about The Wren's Nest Bed & Breakfast. The beautiful house, the wonderful breakfast, the awesome scenery. We really enjoyed the morning visits with Tom & Judith. Can't wait to go back.

I was in Russellville, Ky for a night and passed on the hotel/motels in the small town mainly because I don't like motels with exterior doors to each room. So I researched Bed and Breakfasts and found this gem! WOW! The owners are so nice and the BB is a separate house built on their 100 acres of wooded beauty. kitchen, dining room, washer, dryer, everything you need! I loved sitting on the porch at night and in the morning! Since I had to leave early in the morning, they brought breakfast over the night before so I could make it myself in the kitchen. Very convenient, but had I wanted, I could have had breakfast made for me . I will be back! I love this place!!

It's always lovely to find a bit of home while on the road for work. Wren's Nest affords travelers this gift. I highly recommend this lovely B and B tucked inside a neighbor outside of Rusellville. The only additional request would be to have wireless Internet service please. Warmest thanks! Laura Benson

If you're looking for a unique stay while in Russellville, this is the place for you. The wren's nest is immaculate and is located on 100+ acres with walking trails and fantastic privacy. We will definitely be back!!

Wren's nest is off the beaten path-just what we wanted. Very attractive and comfortable facilty plus delightful hosts. A place to kick back and read or hike in the woods. We were delighted with fine breakfasts by Judith and Tom's obvious enjoyment of telling us about local lore. Strongest possible recommendation from us! Carol and Michael

We were impressed with the Wren's Nest from the beginning. Very, very nice B & B with such thoughtful owners. The entire house was spotless, well furnished and perfect. A beautiful location, especially for nature lovers. We didn't have time to walk the trails or see the lake nearby, but plan to make a return visit during the fall season just for this! If you are looking for a cozy place to get away from the noise of the city, this is the place! Sit back and relax on the porch, in the sitting room or living room, or walk the trails and gardens - and soak in the sound of nature!

This is the best place to stay! It is spotless, very nice rooms, very unique house. The owners are really nice. A great affordable rate, and the scenery is to die for. walked down to the lake early morning and it was gorgeous with the fog coming up off the water. We watched deer in the woods from our balcony, birds are chiping, even heard a turkey gobbling.

The Wren's Nest is a delightful surprise located just outside of Russellville, KY. The innkeepers are great and the breakfasts are wonderful. Previous stays in Russellville have been at commercial motels that were not only more costly, but had rooms devoid of any character or privacy. The inn is nestled against woodland where I watched deer, squirrels, hawks and similar wildlife from the patio as I drank morning coffee and relaxed. The roses were coming to an end of their Spring blooming but the Clematis was at peak and add to that the wild flowers and garden paths and you have the perfect place to unwind and find peace.

The Wren's Nest is wonderful for an relaxed spot to get away from it all, It is located in a beautiful, rural area with many historic properties nearby if 19th century americana interests you. The Nest is very well appointed and decorated with plenty of storage space and private baths for each of the bedrooms. There is a full kitchen with very fine appliances including a washer and dryer. The Nest is spic and span and sheets and towels were changed 3 times during our week stay. There is satellite TV and a radio, but the real entertainment is the property itself which includes a lovely little lake, hiking trails, gardens. The hosts are delightful and helpful in every way. We did not choose to have the breakfast option as our hours were very irregular, but the choices were tempting. Although each bedroom is very private with its separate bath, my choice would be to rent both rooms as it is an ideal get away with family or friends totally separate from the hosts' house.

Very nice and quiet accomodations. A little out of the way, but not too far out. The breakfast was wonderful and everything very neat and clean. The innkeepers were very attentive and extremely talkative. At times I would have enjoyed a little more privacy during our breakfast to organize my thoughts for the day. If you are elderly, overweight, or have mobility issues I wouldn't consider this B&B because of the spiral staircase that is used for going up and down from the 2 levels. There is also an exterior stairway to access one of the rooms. Overall it was a very pleasant visit and reasonably priced. The food was plentiful. Fresh fruit every day.

This fall was our 5th time staying at the Wren's Nest. And hopefully, we will be coming back. This is a place set out in a secluded area, very private. The Nest is centered in the woods, with a lake close by with some fun fishing. There are good walking paths through the woods. The fall leaves were at their peak. In the Sptring, many flowers abound in the woods. Tom and Judith have a beautiful flower garden area that is amazing. Relax in the Gazebo listening to the birds, squirrels, and other unusual sounds. We have walked through the woods and heard turkeys gobbling, see deer and coyotes. This is a beautifull place to go to get away from it all. You could not find a better breakfast as this place. The innkeepers are great! A very private area. We love this place!

What a wonderfully, charming place to stay! It was quiet, clean, and much nicer than the pictures show. The owners seem to have thought of everything a guest might need. We especially loved the firepit and the rural setting! We'll definitely be back!

This was the first time we decided to stay in a B&B and we are absolutely ecstatic. We were trying to find an excuse to stay longer. Breakfast was wonderful too. We can't give the Wren's Nest enough praise. Thank you Tom and Judith for the experience.

My husband and I just returned home from our stay in TN and KY, and we stayed two nights at this B&B. We actually didn't do much of anything the full say we were there other than relax, walk around the lake and try to catch some fish (to no avail unfortunately). Tom and Judith are very sweet people that will make your stay enjoyable. We didn't have anyone staying in the other room while we were there, so if there was someone else, there would be alittle less privacy. We basically had the place to ourselves. I would definitely recommend the dragonfly room compared to the other because there is a set of stairs that you can take directly up to that room. The spiral staircase can be alittle tricky bringing luggage down it! If we ever get around to that area again in our travels, and they still are running this B&B, we would definitely stay here again.

We had the most wonderful time staying at this bed and breakfast. We were treated like family. My husband was able to spend the day fishing in their lake, Tom shared some local places to go and things to see. We didnt want to leave. This is a perfect place if you love the quite off the beaten path sort of location with great food and super owners.

Very quiet and serene, the flowers and woods provides a "Close to Nature" atmosphere. I loved our Butterfly Room -- very tastefully decorated. The inkeepers were delightful and the breakfast was scrumpious. The only two negatives were the narrow stairs (difficult for me to maneuver the luggage) and the insects (from the wooded surroundings, I presume). It was a delightful experience and I would definitely recommend staying at the Wren's Nest.

We stayed at three bed and breakfasts on a recent trip and this was the only one of the three that felt more like a private cabin than a bed and breakfast. The accommodations were excellent and the location was remote enough for quiet yet close enough to go into town and have a fine dinner meal before retiring for the evening.

The setting of this bed and breakfast is beautiful. The grounds are yours to roam, if you like. The hosts are gracious and welcoming. The only thing that I would change about the place is that the commons areas are a bit small for two groups of guests to share. There's really no place to have your own privacy within the dwelling if both rooms happen to be rented for the same evening(s).

far greater than what we expected. Excellent host that gave us some great history about the area. We would rae this B&B #1 for a return visit. John and Mary Woodyard

This B&B is nestled in the middle of 120 acres of woods. The house is surrounded by flowers and there is a lake and an herb garden just a short stoll away. We loved the fact that the rooms were in a separate building from the owner's house -- making it a more private getaway than you get in most B&Bs. The food was really good -- not gourmet, but really filling and tasty. The owners were absolutely delightful. Definitely worth the drive!

but without all the worries and hassle of day to day life....Great trails to walk, lake is beautiful, just the whole place is beautiful, Tom and Judith are great people. God willing that is!

A very beautiful place to stay, inside and out. Tom with his wonderful stories and Judith with her gourmet breakfasts made it feel like you were visiting family. I've never stayed at a bed & breakfast before. Am so glad this was my first experience. Definitely a memory to cherish

As we drove down a winding path drapeded by a canopy of luscious trees, we were transported into another world. A most beautiful 100 acre retreat. A garden in a forest along a peaceful lake, would be the "star attraction" on an annual garden tour in the area. Great for fishing, hiking trails, or a romantic get-a-way. The Cozy Wrens's Nest was new, spacious and clean...giving us a feeling of being home, away from home. Private bedroom, living and kitchen area....and even a washer and dryer. A home cooked breakfast served by the host and hostess, as well as a nice visit to share history and any information of the area which was of intrest or would be of help. We were greeted by a lovely couple who were strangers and we said good bye to our new friends. Thank you Tom and Judith for a wonderful stay! Sharon from Louisiana Louisiana

We stayed two days during the peak time when leaves were changing colors. It was peaceful and very relaxing. It was a great time to unwind. Birds, butterflies, fish, turtles, and squirrels that entertain you as they gather their nuts. You can hear turkeys gobbling in the woods. As you walk the paths, you will see many animal tracks. The barn house as I call it was clean and neat. 1st class treatment from the innkeepers, Tom & Judith. Our breakfast was a surprise each morning with something different. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside in the patio surrounded by roses. Whether you are inside or out, you can relax, read a book, forget the rest of the world you came from and take in the beauty and sounds of nature. We are from Ohio and visit in the spring and fall visiting family. We will definitely be stopping at the Wren's Nest again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the wrens nest. We stayed in the dragon fly room. The room was very nice and the cleanliness of the whole house made us very comfortable. The bathroom was emaculate. Our room had a private entrance which i would recommend, the spiral staircase is small. Tom was very nice and hospititable! Breakfast was also good. The outside is so peaceful and beautiful. Flowers and butterflys everywhere. Plenty of backgrounds for pictures. We love traveling to different bed and breakfast places to enjoy the getaway and enjoy someone else's home, yard and hospitality, and this was one of the best we have stayed at. Very peaceful and relaxing.

This is a delightful B&B in a 100-acre woods just northeast of Russellvile. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and a good place to see wildlife or stay in and read a book. Tom and Judith are wonderful hosts, and we much enjoyed our six-day stay. Cell phone service is marginal, but there are a few usable hotspots. If you're looking for peace, quiet and cleanliness in the Russellville area, this is the place to stay!
